i saw it in 3d and it was ok but i kind of wanted to see it because for flashback reasons i went to see the rerelease of 1 and 2 in 3d and that was pretty good.
i like what you said in this video about moving. how you have lived there your whole life, and you've watched the town change around you. all places you loved and knew as a kid closing down, and how it's not really even your town anymore...just wanted to post i liked that. i'm 21 and don't really know what i want to do with life. i feel like that same thing has happened with my town, and maybe it's time for me to move on also.
I did the CXC tour a while back. Both ways. Here's how it goes:
1. The North will be a flat drive, but much more scenic than the south. It will be nicer in summer than south.
2. The South it's a bit harder to hit gas stations and rest stops and the heat is going to push your car pretty hard on that drive. South is more of an experienced drive.
3. Idaho has hot springs which is really cool
4. Pack immodium, take some and you won't have to go so much. Or incase you get the Hershey squirts.
I went to the Toy Story I & II 3D double feature, it was awsome! So I went ahead and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D. You guys are missing out. CG movies are designed in a 3D space in the first place. It is extreamly easy to convert CG films to 3D because all they have to do full out the old files and render it a second time from another angle. CG movies are ment to be 3D. I can't wait for TRON: Legacy!
This Around The Town was rather poignant, but of course Shaun lifts the mood by saying they should make out, haha. You guys are the kings of pop culture. I hope you both do well and I can't wait to see your road trip vids. :D
I've seen Toy Story 3 yesterday, and to be honest, coming from someone like me doesnt know what heartbreaking is.. the ending was really really heartbreaking, I cannot imagine myself normally feel like that, but the ending really made me choke!!
i didnt cry at the end of titanic, i didnt cry at the beggining of up, i didnt cry when jessi told her story in part 2, but i cried at the end of toy story 3
Shawn, I think your comments on Toy Story almost killing hand-drawn animation are spot on. I like both forms, but being an artist, I will always love hand-drawn animation more. It's not dead, but it's more of a novelty now, which is sad.
I have yet to see Toy Story 3 yet, but I'm excited for it.

the problem with buffets in vegas is that they're actually 30 bucks or more and there are HUGE lines...ive been to vegas twice and never went to any buffets cuz i didnt want to wait in mile long lines like cattle. I'm driving across Canada in August! So maybe we'll be driving parallel to each other haha. good luck!

For a buffet in Vegas I would recommend the Bellaigo in Vegas, now the price is high around thirty something but its vegas lol....anyways they have some of the finest food.
How can you say this movie was "kiddish"? It was intensely dark and scary in many places, and the denouement deals with the passage time and saying goodbye to youth, something that most kids have no real grasp of. This is a movie for all ages; kids will enjoy it, but adults will respond to deeper themes.
hey guys...I live in Salt Lake City and go to Vegas all the time. As far as food goes...you can eat for pretty cheap but the food will straight up suck arse. If you want decent buffets you'll be paying 25-30 bucks per person. Vegas will bankrupt you so be careful. It gets really expensive. If you want cheaper food go to the food court upstairs in the Excalibur. Plenty of different choices. If you want to see nice casinos check out Ceasar's Palace, The Wynn, Paris, and the Bellagio.

You do know that the first toy story saved Disney from going bankrupt right? If it wasn't for toy story there wouldn't have been anymore animated hand drawn disney cause it was going to shit. However they should make a hand drawn movie every once in a while but I think computer animated stuff is more superior in the way it looks and the way they move.

you guys still think there will be a 4th one?! I don't think so. It was a stretch making a 3rd one-but it turned out to be AMAZING! a 4?! No, the director has already said they weren't making it just to make a sequel but that they put a lot of work in to make it be the best possible conclusion to the series. However, he has confirmed that Woody and Buzz WILL make another appearance in the short that will precede Cars 2 next year.

So quick heads up...Buffets in Vegas are HORRIBLE and around 20-30$ a pop. That and things like Subway around the strip cost 10$-15$ per footlong. Just a warning!

You guys need to stop in San Francisco and eat at the Fisherman's Wharf once you get to Cali. Get a nice outdoor table and get a good lunch or dinner and just enjoy the day in SF. So many good places to eat and things to do in SF that you just can't really go wrong. From there you can head down the coast and hit a lot of really wonderful places before you go to LA.
Without giving away too many spoilers, do you think that there will be a Toy Story 4? You guys are going to drive your selfs nuts on that rode trip, and I will differently be getting the DVD to watch it all! Safe Travels. I don't know if this is your thing but, I would stay in a hotel that "claims" to be haunted.
Also a lot deeper than that-it's about moving on and learning to let go. How people change, relationships end, loved ones leave(death?) and the best way to deal with it is to be with the ones you love.
very kiddish? really?! It has a very powerful theme making it the darkest, most thrilling and emotional film in the series. True, anything that is rated G is made for kids but it easily appeals to a wide audience just as much as Toy Story and Toy Story 2 did-Disney/Pixar films have always ACTUALLY been made for both children and adults. "Kiddish" to me, would denote films like "Happy Feet". Heck Wall-E is pretty kiddish(don't get me wrong it's a great film) but no I wouldn't call TS3 kiddish.
When you guys go on the big trip which sounds cool, but if you can get the soundtrack from the film Plans Trains & Automobiles and play it on the trip that would be so cool for background music dudes.

If you take the Texas route you guys have to go to the Big Texan in Amarillo, they have the Streak Contest there. That route will also take you through Oklahoma, you've gotta check out Bobo's Chicken stand for the best chicken in the state!
fyi most Dunkin Doughnuts and almost every McDonalds has free wifi if you guys need to use it on the road.
If you guys head up to Chicago and its convenient you guys should check out Dixie Land Square mall. Its a mall from the 60's that has been abandoned since the 70s and its falling apart. Very interesting place. There is a wiki page for it.
Also in Chicago you guys could find the street that the filmed Home Alone on!

You do know that the first toy story saved Disney from going bankrupt right? If it wasn't for toy story there wouldn't have been anymore animated hand drawn disney cause it was going to shit. However they should make a hand drawn movie every once in a while but I think computer animated stuff is more superior in the way it looks and the way they move.

you guys still think there will be a 4th one?! I don't think so. It was a stretch making a 3rd one-but it turned out to be AMAZING! a 4?! No, the director has already said they weren't making it just to make a sequel but that they put a lot of work in to make it be the best possible conclusion to the series. However, he has confirmed that Woody and Buzz WILL make another appearance in the short that will precede Cars 2 next year.

All of the Pixar movies make me cry even if I watch them over and over o__o
And 3D is kind of dumb because your brain already thinks it's 3D, and it only works really well if it's meant to be in 3D.
And you guys should definitely go to Seattle P: go to the Space Needle because it's awesome. Even though that's not really California but that's ok xDD

So quick heads up...Buffets in Vegas are HORRIBLE and around 20-30$ a pop. That and things like Subway around the strip cost 10$-15$ per footlong. Just a warning!

You guys need to stop in San Francisco and eat at the Fisherman's Wharf once you get to Cali. Get a nice outdoor table and get a good lunch or dinner and just enjoy the day in SF. So many good places to eat and things to do in SF that you just can't really go wrong. From there you can head down the coast and hit a lot of really wonderful places before you go to LA.

You guys are going to drive your selfs nuts on that rode trip, and I will differently be getting the DVD to watch it all! Safe Travels. I don't know if this is your thing but, I would stay in a hotel that "claims" to be haunted.

very kiddish? really?! It has a very powerful theme making it the darkest, most thrilling and emotional film in the series. True, anything that is rated G is made for kids but it easily appeals to a wide audience just as much as Toy Story and Toy Story 2 did-Disney/Pixar films have always ACTUALLY been made for both children and adults. "Kiddish" to me, would denote films like "Happy Feet". Heck Wall-E is pretty kiddish(don't get me wrong it's a great film) but no I wouldn't call TS3 kiddish.

I agree about the short before the movie. I didn't think it was very good. I loved the movie, though.
I actually liked Atlantis.
Very excited to see the Around the Country movie!
If you can't get a hit film in Hollywood, maybe you can have a hit sitcom.

If you take the Texas route you guys have to go to the Big Texan in Amarillo, they have the Streak Contest there. That route will also take you through Oklahoma, you've gotta check out Bobo's Chicken stand for the best chicken in the state!

fyi most Dunkin Doughnuts and almost every McDonalds has free wifi if you guys need to use it on the road.
If you guys head up to Chicago and its convenient you guys should check out Dixie Land Square mall. Its a mall from the 60's that has been abandoned since the 70s and its falling apart. Very interesting place. There is a wiki page for it.
Also in Chicago you guys could find the street that the filmed Home Alone on!
