If you ever hear someone say that Flea, Les Claypool, etc is the best bassist ever, all you have to do is show them this video. They will be epically corrected.
i have watched this video like 700 times already thank you so much for posting it and better yet, recording it, this solo is just fucking amazing jesus man ur so lucky u saw this live is there a dvd for this live feature? it would be cool if you could tell me
@Rjc0316 America's a great country, with really outstanding people... but there are still too many American simpletons like you wasting the Earth's oxygen. So yeah, just die please.
vic was on point in this vid, his licks were in time with the beat and he made it sound easy. usually in the other vids his licks sound like he had trouble mastering them himself, but this vid has them sounding like easy to transcribe but soo hard to play, and each little quick note sounded right...this is the best technically ive seen vic play
I was there, in the Mojo tent - the Flecktones concert that night was the best band performance I've ever seen - and I'd seen them several times before. A knockout - everyone in the place was gobsmacked.
Ah, can't remember - I think you're right, though. There was a performance at the Mojo (and it is probably the one you've got) that was simply stupendous. I've heard BF & F every time they've been out, and that performance was the absolute standout. Do you have other footage from that one?
When someone can literally make their instrument talk, have feeling and make the audience get that feeling in return....that makes them a true artist not just a great musician....it blow my fn mind to hear this stuff.....(listen to the other versions of Sinister Minister part 1 and especially 2
Man i wish i was there.. That was the most insane playing i have ever heard for awhile. Victor Wooten is the most techinical player out there today in context with this style of music. Manring is great too. Can't wait to hear the new S.M.V album Victor has done with Clarke and Miller!!!!
Dude! I was on his myspace and saw that it said "Meet Viv after the show" or somethin like that but I didn't understand how, thats awesome I'll totally hang with him again for sure I can't wait to finally see him live!
Have a look out for the equally fantastic Vic does but that lasts for 8 minutes - he even loses a high string and keeps going for another six minutes.
I dont think I can put in a link. The comments box wont accept it. Have a look above at my last comment and search instead, it's a very popular video and hence should be at the top of the list. Have a look at "TJazZ1337"'s profile, he uploaded it.

Ooh, I dunno. Australia has some beautiful natural landmarks. What's more, they havn't built strip malls on top of them.

Which beautiful natural landmarks in the United States have strip malls on top of them?

this was the afternoon set, not the night set
SweetUpDown40 3 years ago
Ah, OK - the Crossroads set. Not quite as god as the Mojo, IMHO.
rationalimperative 3 years ago
no it was mojo. they played mojo the friday night and then the saturday afternoon. IMO the saturday was a much better set

wtf is that??? it sounds like extremely fast and precise slapping...does such a thing exist? I quit, I can't compete with that, no one can.
Daenoxiis 4 years ago
It's a double thumbing technique and yeah, it's quite a simple theory but can sound ridiculous
KurtSandford 4 years ago
I know what it is, I was being sarcastic, lol.
In theory it's simple, but it would take a lot longer to master like that.

Sorry, forgot to tell you what it's called - "Victor Wooten Bass Solo - Sinister Minister" , it should register as 8:41 long.
