love harry.met him as a 13 year old boy at the coconut grove at the now gone Ambassador hotel.talked to him quite a bit and have talked to him about 6 times since.introduced my daughter to him at the mill run theatre in skokie illinois when she was 6.she has been a fan since.he sang abraham martin and john for her and it was amazing how he did it.long story but not here.A role model for me my entire life.sure wish he still performed.the song you really want to hear is empty chairs by Harry.
The last time I heard this song was on a beautiful autumn afternoon in 1967! It seems like yesterday. The late 50's & 60's are the most memorable years of my life, which has gone so quickly that time itself becomes so irrelevant. The music of that era is still so much a part of me. Thanks for posting!
You are welcome dear! For me, this song is an instant memory of my parents, who are very fond of it and we used to hear it quite frequently! I am so glad you enjoyed!
Oh, my! August, 1967 in Champaign-Urbana and attending a ministerial conference at U of I. Radio woke me to the beginning of this song, this version. This song gave my youthful, naive spirit reason to sing itself, a Strange Song, where everything was groovy. For years I've sought this version, settling for the Sandpipers... but now it's come home. My gosh, I'm 22 again, and all of Life's summers lie yet ahead. Thank you for posting this.
