  • Unf****ing awesome......

  • i about passed this up because i'm not into tribute bands esp of one of my all time faves, but i grew up on the beach boys way back in the day and YOU guys sure know how to sing HARMONY! knowing what the beach boys went through by discipline to become the legend they are, you exemplify some great work here inspired by them. it's so much better than these boy bands of the last couple decades. thanks for making me S M I L E :D

    love,

    usa

  • @inbetweentics Mighty fine. Keep the music going.

  • good=)

  • awesome

  • That was, authentically, brilliant ! Great Job!

  • Incredibly well done! Your voices all melt together magically!

  • Your harmonies sound spot on to the Beach Boys! Especially, the falsetto sounds a lot like Brian Wilson's.

  • I'm an old BB fan. I give you guys props.

  • I found this video while looking to see if the Beach Boys' "vocals only" version from the CD boxed set was on youtube. It isn't. But after hearing this, I don't think I care that I didn't find it. Amazing job...

  • Hope u guys are still doing BB songs? Really really nice!!!!!!!

  • Yea that was really pretty good lol! An I'm a super hard to please BB fan ;)

  • Guys. I've seen so many pretenders try to pull off BW/BB tunes and fall flat. I can't believe how good this is. The falsetto guy on the right may not be Brian Wilson but he is nails nonetheless.

  • @frankietrent yeah the problem is that so many groups try to overdo the Beach Boys, but such simple magic as that incredible group is not to be overdone. These guys stick to the roots and focus on the soul, not putting on a show. Their harmonic tones are the show

  • That is by far the closest thing ive herd yet to the real thing! Great job keep it up!! the harmonizing is fantastic!!!

  • You guys are incredible! I love the Beach Boys and you do a great job with the vocals.

  • My dream is to sing with friends like you do!

    Excellent

    Jaime (from Argentina)

  • Please do The Man With All The Toys from the Beach Boys Christmas Album

  • nice! so cool! I really love your sound... :-)

  • this is awesome!

  • Where do you get the sheet music for this?? You guys sound exactly like the beach boys, just btw!!

  • jebus....that's tight. you guys should grab some instruments and go on tour

  • All I can say is WOW! Thanks for sharing You guys sing like birds!

  • Way to go fellas. Nicely done.

  • YEAH !!!!!

  • Very nice..........like it.

  • Bravo!

  • when do you try Kokomo?

    you should.

  • @TheSanglier22 Kokomo is a Mike Love song. Terrible.

  • excellent !

    i really love it.

    Noe, France, BB fan.

  • holy shit that's really good! well done boys!

  • Thanks for the Chichester RAJF gig last night - hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did! Stuart Pembery RAJF

  • You guys are great!

  • How about Little Girl I Once Knew?

    {Click B45s for rare Beach Boys video archive}

  • The new Jackson 5

  • excellent!

  • I expect they've disbanded by now.

But if not, try Take Thats' Patience.

  • This was cool. You guys should do Girls Girls Girls by Sailor. I think you would do that totally awesomely! (Awesomely is a word from now on in.)

    Keep up the good work!

  • I really loved that! Im going to watch it again!

  • I dont believe it - I have been singing whith this music for 4 decades, and still do so today.

When I was a kid growing up in Holland, eveyone was into Stones/Beatles. When I heard Sloop john B , it attacked me heavenly! Now, I live in France.

just great, great !! I will have a look on your site.

    Peter

  • Hey .. NICE WORK .. you fellas are GOOD !! Congrats. The world sure as hell urgently needs a good vocal / harmony band like you guys to appear on the commercial scene .. so as to carry on the " Next Generation" of that peerless BB/BW style harmony / Sthn Calif. sound. After all .. we surely can't allow a situation to prevail where the undeserving, no-talent "Justin Biebers" of this world get to occupy the "high-ground" !! Have you guys scored a recording contract yet ... I hope so.

  • that is so awesome.

  • KOKOMO

  • do kokomo =D

  • You rock!! Very impressive.

    Greetz from the Netherlands

  • I would love to see you do "Don't Worry Baby"

  • @chestnut1016 i second this

  • awesome!!!! fabulous!!

  • Excellent job lads. I see your from the UK. Are you playing any gigs over the next few months?

  • Very, very good.

  • You guys are stepping on Holy ground and you pulled it off!

    Keep the summer alive, guys!

    Bravo!

  • Great stuff!

  • How did you get together ? Do you have a website ? were you involved in barbershop first ?

    Very impressed

    JHP

  • We started on barbershop about 8 years ago; since then we've not really done much barbershop at all, more close harmony stuff like Take 6.

We do have a website - search for 'Beach Boys Smile' in google and you should find us.

Thanks for the lovely comments John - aloha from London!

  • @beachboyssmile Hey John (and friends) I would like to ask a couple of questions

First off, I Googled "Beach Boys Smile" and I just found pages about rumors of their unreleased album. Is your website still up, and if so is there a specific link you can post in response to this comment?

  • @beachboyssmile I was also very curious about the acapella itself. I am looking to start my own group, but besides getting singers together I really don't have any idea where to start. Do you have any advice? Should I arrange stuff on sheet music (everyone would be able to read; no problem) or should we just work completely by ear. How did your group do it?

I do have an idea of the sound I would want to achieve. I have gone over it many times in my head, and I can't wait until it can be sung

  • Excellent !!!

Are you guys using this as your name ?

    Where are you located ?

    Wonderful

    Aloha from Hawaii

    John Hunter Phillips

  • Awesome harmonies just like The Beach Boys!!!!

  • Very impressive, guys !! You have tremendous talent, & awesome potential to really go places with it !! Just get yourselves the right directional advice; the right agent; practice, practice, practice; & the world will be your oyster. We'll need a group somewhere, somehow, to carry on the grand Southern California Sound tradition ... which was what Brian and the B. Boys (with a not unsubstantial helping-hand from Jan & Dean, Sloan & Barri, et al) made so famous, way back in the early 60s.

  • i'm a huge beach boys fan. and you guys have my kudos

  • sounding great, guys!

  • wow, great job. sounds great!!! and for tasha122277, there is a baritone, lower frequencies aren't picked up as well on a room mic. which is why Mike Love often recorded on his own mic.

  • Right . and, also Mike Love would sueeze out a pretty high-range full voice lead on the verses (like on this song), and then jump right down to the bass vocal part for the choruses .....to his credit.
