Hey guys, i can't find out how to sample a recorded sound so that i can play it in different notes on my midi-keyboard. do i need to convert it into a component instrument file?...please help!!!

@joha444 You need a sampler. Open an instrument channel with the EXS24 (in logic). Then press the button that says "Edit" and drag the audiofile in the window that pops up. You will now be able to play it as an instrument (check out all the different settings you can do aswell)

@RoyalNoiseRecords He is using logic pro, probably from the Logic Studio Bundle (499 at apple). Could be Logic Pro 8 though. I use logic and it's a great program, however any major DAW has more power than you will ever need. Maybe MOTU DP or Protools will be better for you.
