that line stuck in my head when I was 11 years old when this was first aired on TV - I watched all 10 parts last week and I have started again today from part 1 -
many many thanks cuculus74 for uploading this amazing series .
this is not history. clever propaganda meant to twist reality and corrupt people's perceptions. typical of all bbc productions. society cannot survive this constant barrage of pure evil corruption
@MrBillyCrash it is degradation. bbc is good at corrupting people. bbc obviously serves evil and now look at the state of the country, but still the little hitlers are more than willing to sell out their nations for a chance to sit in the big chair and ride at the front of the parade
thanks a lot cuculus. i watched this BBC series years ago and loved it immediately. Actors are great and well chosen even for their physical features, except Giulia, too anglosaxon.Jeremy Irons may have a better accent than A. Celi but is too ascetic to be Alessandro VI, in addition the Pope was Spanish and surely spoke Italian with an accent! Thanks again . Subtitles in English would be very helpful to me because I'm Italian!
Many Thaks for having posted this,I was thinking about it for ages!
I saw it when I was a child with my family and I enjoyed it immensely.
I am Italian,so for everyone who is interested in the Borgia "subject" I reccomend the book "Lucrezia Borgia" by Maria Bellonci. The book is actually a history of the whole family during the papacy of Alessandro VI.
The language used in the original italian version of the book is highly evocative:you can breath the atmoshere of the Borgia rule...
I remember watching this when it was broadcast by the BBC. I couldn't understand a word he said then. Jeremy Irons speaks english far more clearly. This is interesting though.
Many thanks for this , cuculous. Just finished watching episode ten. Been trying to get a video/dvd of this for years. Saw it last in 1981 and it was the best thing the BBC did in its prime historical drama period - better even than I Claudius. Absolutely wonderful to see it again - an excellent upload. Thanks again.
