Can anybody tell me what kind of strategy is involved with arguing a call with an umpire. The players and coaches know that the umpire is not going to overturn the call so why even argue it? is there a strategy to it? Somebody please let me know.

yeah, sometimes a call can be overturned. But usually not. Usually arguing a call is just used to fire up a team and give them some energy/morale. It actually works too at times.
