  • Poor Danny who I never heard of. It's on Chrome now. LOL

  • Im watching this with dblocker

  • THERE"S ALOT OF DUMD PEOPLE WHO CAN'T OR WON'T BOTHER FIGURING IT OUT...AND DOES ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CAN BE EASILY TRICKED INTO BUYING SOMETHING THREW ADVERTISEMENT...IF THE PRODUCT IS GOOD IT WILL GET AROUND...HOW MANY PEOPLE DO DRUGS....HOW MANY PEOPLE SAW THEM ADVERTISE

  • now all we need is adblock for tv

  • this guy is god,,, thank u for making adblock

  • nobody wants to see ads!

  • it also works on youtube good if you hate ad videos

  • And on the eight day, god created: Adblock Plus!

  • Can anyone tell me a good adblocker for the you tube ads on internet explorer

  • @Mr2010weg

If you have IE9, go to toolbar, click safety tab, and select tracking protection. Then you will have to go in and change settings to enable automatic block. I just did it myself and it seems to be working beautifully.

  • adblock is one of the best reasons to use firefox! aside from denying the corporate giants the revenue that selling what could be a free browser service.

my friends all have annoying ads on their youtube etc, i dont get them at all, FANTASTIC!!! :D

  • I've been using it for as long as I've been using Firefox (since at least 2008). Unlike Mr. Palant, I am ideologically opposed to my bandwidth being wasted by ad servers, since my ISP puts a download limit on my bandwidth every month and I would rather use it for things I want, not things that are forced on me.

  • 2008?! and dowloaded adblock plus a few months ago :O

  • God save AdBlock, thank you very much for AdBlock, fuck anyone who opposes AdBlock.

  • The difference between Adblock and blocking other ads is that TV ads don't tend to pop-up on you when you're watching the programs you want to watch.

  • you can disable ad block on certain sites, me personally I choose when I want to be exposed to advertising also a vast majority of "infections" come straight from internet ads! even on legit sites too!

  • Fuck the ads

  • Go ADBLOCK!!! I am so tired of being bombarded by scantly clad women to sell stuff. I'll definitely be using this. Thanks a million!!!

  • firefox> google chrome> internet explorer

  • WHAT?!?! PEOPLE DON'T HAVE TO FORCIBLY SIT THROUGH OUR ANNOYING ASS COMMERCIALS ANYMORE?!?! WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE?!!

  • Screw ads of any kind. It is all bullshit. Business can just kiss my ass. They are not putting any money in my pocket...just takin it out.

  • I am a new adblock user and i love it

  • I used to think ad-block was wrong, that sites like youtube would run out of money if they didn't have ads. About a year and a half ago youtube would have tiny ads that you could close at the beginning of videos, next any music video has a 30 sec add, then 2 min ad, now fcking every video has an ad, pop up, and, its just bull-crap. Youtube hasn't gotten any better since a billion fcking ads. If a company makes more money they should provide more to consumers. Fuck ads.

  • I want this because I'm sick of ad's that give my computer viruses.

  • @ronvins really? its the ads that give us the viruses also? the government is so stupid. y cant we feel free to watch a video without ads?

    p.s. i liked your comment

  • @videomayn7 Well, thank you for taking the time to read my comment, and yes, I've gotten viruses from ads before.

  • Lol, who uses Internet explorer? Hahaha.

  • @TheGuyWhoHatesInk It doesn't matter whether you would buy the product or not, the maker of the video will get 1/3 of a cent per view - regardless. This encourages people to make better videos in the hope that they will be accepted into the YouTube partnership program. Or I could just be a cock and respond to rationality with emoticons.

  • Dear god you people are selfish. You do realise how many people there are who depend on website add revenue just to make a living. People like you come and hog their bandwidth (YES THAT COSTS THEM MONEY) and don't contribute at all to their salary.

  • @shroomwine When I understood your comment right, I'd say you're wrong. I am a youtuber watching videos here almost every day, like millions of others, and I really loved youtube before Google bought it. Now I have to watch a video-ad on whichever video I go. If I see an ad starting a video and I click on another video in the hope to never see the ad, it still comes on every video I click on next, until I completely watch it to the end. I am even not interested to buy that shit! (continiued)

  • @shroomwine ...Also, money is not the most important thing for life and many, when not all, companies are too ignorant to accept that. I understand when someone puts non-moving ads to the side of a site, but not that some idiots at Google forcing their users to watch ads and buy some random crap just so they get more and MORE MONEY. THE WORLD IS TOTALLY FUCKED UP! WHEN YOU ALL KEEP THINKING OF MONEY BEING IMPORTANT, THE WORLD IS SCREWED!!!

  • @shroomwine -_-

  • @shroomwine I'm ready to assume you never had an audio ad pop up in your face or got a trojan downloaded from an ad. I'm one of those people who use adblock, but for a different reason. Of course I want to support websites, but I also want to be safe. Some of those ads can download dangerous trojans, malware, etc. and I at least want to use adblock to filter out, or at least add a layer of protection. Though you make it sound like if we don't support their website, they'll starve ;x

  • @shroomwine Plus, if they got the time and energy to make a website, then surely they can go with the flow and improvise. That too is part of the business world.

  • They should stop insulting the users.

We should all just kill the assholes who makes the ads.

  • As ads spread, spread, spread and become more pointless at the same time, it's time to tell companies to calm their tits with the ads. I can't believe that the critics that give their hard-ass opinions on ads before they are put out let some of these do that. And Chrome FTW just saying. >.> faster and light

  • those idiots wanna block firefox?!

  • LOL there jealouse that that awesome plugin for firefox its popular no more for explorer

  • Firefox ftw

  • 3 years later still running

  • The major reason why I stopped watching TV is because of commercials.

  • @2anime4ever

Me too! Thank goodness for DVR, now at least we have the option to skip through and get hours of our life back and be able to spend it watching the things we want :)

  • @2anime4ever you kidding ?? I watch the commercials cuz they are much more fun than the c-r-a-p-p-y shows out there.....

  • @Allbbrz Than why were you watching those crappy shows in the first place?

  • @2anime4ever For the commercials. He just told you.

  • got no more problems with ads and no problems with danny carlton's website. uuups ... he had a problem with "abp" in 2008? hmm ... a good reason to never trust and never waste time with this blog/person/adlover/blablabla/whatever ... and "noscript" gives him the rest ... harharhar ... 24 corporate pigs saw this video.

  • AdBlock Plus is good for blocking porn ads!!

  • WHY WOULD I ->PAY <- FOR INTERNET? for adds!? NO!

  • @beebnegron This would be a logical stance, if only the money you pay for your internet went to the websites you visit.

Advertising is added to pages by the site owners, not by your cable company.

A much more valid stance would be "Why must I pay for internet?" or "Why is my cable company so incompetent?"

  • ads whatever not like im going to buy enything wile in the bathroom or making somthing to eat

  • Lets see. Life before Ad Block Plus: Adverts on Youtube, Facebook, the rare Myspace visit (Tri-monthly), and, well, ANYWHERE else. Slow load times, waiting, and frequent bathroom trips whilst waiting for the ads to finish.

Life after Ad Block Plus: I now enjoy my Internet. I make only one exception within my AB+, and that's on TGWTG, because I support those creators and their content. Otherwise, no, no I do not want corporate bullshit ads on MY computer.

  • free net. free world. free life, without ads.

  • reporting for smallpenis news im cock blocker.

  • the fact that this is a problem (and that the creators of ad block might get sued) is ridiculous you should not have to sit through pop up windows, video ads with audio that you can't mute, or video ads in front of every video you see. its you're computer ,you pay for you're internet, you should be able to do what you want with it. i use ad block plus all the time i love it. fuck the people who want to control what you see or do on the internet. the internet is free.

  • @jordanturner97 a-fucking-men!

  • @seasonsbleed the bad thing is you also get viruses and spyware from ads. i fucking love adblock

  • @jordanturner97 Good sir, truer words simply do not exist.

  • @AndrewDeLong thanks

  • I love Adblock so much. Why should I pay for an internet connection so I can load all their crappy adverts?

  • GO AdBlock!!!!

  • I haven't seen a ad in over 1 year thank you adblock plus =)

  • thumbs up if you see this on firefox with adblock plus :D

  • Use AdBlock Plus with a Hosts file and you'll block 98% of all ads.

Ads slow down your surfing. Every time you visit a webpage the Ads are downloaded from various Ad servers and this will slow down page load time. A Hosts file merely redirects all Ad requests to the IP address 127.0.0.1 which is the loopback IP of your machine and is ignored by the web page hence speeding up page load time plus no annoying Ads.

Google "Hosts file" for more details or watch /watch?v=Mr2sxp4tMJw

  • There just WAY too much ads nowadays

5 years ago we didnt needed that much junk all over the web

  • ad blocker plus works like a dream on google chrome if they want people to see ads then they should fucking pay us.

  • ads fail. adblocker is king

  • Adblock Plus is the first add-on I ever used with Firefox, I now recommend it to all!

  • If the half the ads on the internet didn't all lead to viruses, trojans, and malware, I'd consider clicking on some of them.

  • if i could i might jsut make love to the maker of ad-blocker plus. As gay as that is i might just do it...

  • I have ADBLOC PLUS on every one of my Systems..WHY I got sick and tired of being bombarded with GARBAGE ADS from vendors.. BAD enough we have to suffer them on the Radio,Television, even CD rented or purchased,,, Now i go where i want and see only what i want and even spam i have managed to RID the continuous BOMBARDMENT from SPAM BOXES.. VIVA LE MOZILLA

  • im very happy with Adblock Plus

  • now out for chrome who seriously still uses internet explorer

  • now out for chrome

  • FUCK ADS!

  • 21 corporate pigs saw this

  • @CalatrabiumEscudarii But corporations are PEOPLE, don't ya know, just ask MITT GD Romney! May they all rot in hell!

  • @piewackett1 Except Ron Paul...

  • This is the first video I've watched with my new AdBlock add-on :D

  • chrome is better...

  • I agree, the companies should realise that if people are blocking their annoying ads then they only have themselves to blame, not AdBlock, and should either stop trying or look into alternatives, because simply bombarding people with adverts isn't effective and is a waste of time and money. Just think, how many times have you seen an advert online and then gone and bought whatever it was selling? I can happily say NEVER!

  • its used on Chrome now

  • What a wonderful tool.!!! I can't express enough praise for greatly improving the aesthetics of the net.

  • I love Adblock plus. It makes browsing the internet so much more tolerable.

Internet ads are useless anyway, who the hell clicks on them on the first place?

  • Ad blocker plus blocks gamespot ad's too. It's f'kin brilliant :D

  • you can get this in all browsers as far as i know, i use it in chrome too :)

  • why do people want ads?

    fuck capital interests

  • Fuck google ads, this is why i use firefox not shit chrome.

  • @myrang3r theres an add block for chrome to

  • i am getting this because sometimes there is ads you make noises that u cant stop until you interfer with the ads

  • FUCK ADDS AdBlock ....fkn brilliant

  • ads don't make a lot of money, and everyone hates them. They are right along with the "congratulations! you won a free ipad!" ads. They are considered a nuisance. Adblock plus removes that annoying fly. We pay for internet, we don't want to be introduced to products on something we paid for.

  • Ah god please don't take away our adblock

  • ONE TO TWO MINUTES?

    MORE LIKE 3 SECONDS.

    AND FUCK ADS.

  • @Kranda123

Haha. Maybe they just have a really slow computer or they still have dial up.

  • well i'm going back to firefox-i use to like google, but chrome isnt going to block there own shit

go open source, or go home

  • lol

  • best thing i ever did, downloaded in like 3 seconds

  • ok so they are trying to get sites to block firefox users???? doesnt that defeat the purpose of ads, to get people to ur page....fkn brilliant. i cant believe i live in this generation of idiots. oh and pot? still illegal. nice... pretty soon the govt will make our buying decisions for us. seems crazy huh? google it!

  • HEY FUCK ADDS. lol IF TEH ADS WANT ATEENTION SOO MUCH, THEY NEED TO GO GIT A YOUTUBE ACCOUT LIEK REST OF US!!!11 OMG!

guise,,, immagine watching porn and FANTASY WORLD CALAPSE cuz of SHAM-WOW commerial.... add blocker is TITS

  • I hope firefox is paying him enough that he doesnt sell out to google

  • If I like a site and it's ads are relevant and appropriate, I disable it. Adblock even lets you keep a whitelist so it unblocks itself on select websites on its own.

  • hopefully these companies will get the message that we really dont give shit about wat there advertising an they will stop puttin so many dam adds all over the place....i mean the last thing we wanna do is spend our hard earn money on stupid shit u advertise

  • this tool is the shit lol

  • poor microsft they are the monopoly of the industry so i hope (it costs them, microsoft lots of loot) ahhahhahahhahhhahhaahh fu MS go suck on my as block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Troll Block Plus

  • Whoever asked that guy "Why is ABP not for IE?" must be dumb enough to not get Firefox.

  • im glad adblock isnt for internet explorer! you know why? cause i hate internet explorer and all that are stupid enough to like it should suffer advertisements! >:D

  • AdBlock Plus works brilliantly. It's great to be able to browse the Web in peace again without being distracted by ads, and YouTube is like it used to be before Google got their hands on it.

  • Web adverts are getting more shamelessly intrusive so now advertisers reap the whirlwind... Even without this software, when I am trying to view a simple page and must nimbly cancel loading halfway through just to prevent a distracting and system-slowing audio-video ad from appearing, it's NOT going to endear me to the product, duh... So it was a futile enterprise to begin with - degrading the browsing experience. Advertisers have an unfortunate tendency to 'drink their own Koolade'...

  • I installed Adblock Plus about a week ago. It works great on Mozilla - I don't know about that "other" browser though. What's it called? MacroSoft Internut Exploder?

My only problem with Adblock Plus is that now I don't know what products to buy!

  • who uses explorer nowadays you got to be kidding me if anyone uses it seriously.

  • @bryanz127 Gets me to my porn just fine,,so whut.

  • Ad Block Plus changed my life

  • Some people I've shown over and over how to install ABP. But luckily for shitty advertisers, there will always be lots of stupid people who don't want to think.

  • ABP is my hero.

  • So basically Danny Carlton won't let most of the internet populace view his blog. Brilliant.. Begs the question.. why have a blog?

  • @Raidfreak To post what you think? Does not matter how many people view it. If he wants to be a turd let him.

  • @Raidfreak

Never heard of him before now. Definitely avoiding his blog. I tend to find that most of the few sites that pick up Adblock and tell you to disable it aren't ones I usually care too much about anyway.

  • Why should propaganda be forced on people. Ive not seen a TV in years cause i watch all online! Adverts affect some people more then others and the user should have a choice! It does the same as changing the tv channel when tv adverts come on or leaving the room.

  • Firefox also allows you to change you "UserAgent". This is the only way web servers know you're "using" Firefox. Hence, I can view that dumbass's blog!!! FF and ABP for the win!

  • Yeah U need to get a life who ever is wining about add block plus

  • It's the....not tha. I wish I could block this video. Why did the music at the beginning have to be so loud?

  • Fuck Internet Explorer

  • What is nice about add-ons like Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery, and so on. It tells these ad companies and web trackers to go take a flying fuck off the tallest building. I would not mind ads if they kept it simple like in the old days.

  • If you want people to stop using abp, dont put ads on, after, and in the middle of the video!

  • Watching this video now makes me want to suggest adblock to EVERYONE I know.

"omg we can't shove retarded adverts in people's faces anymore! waaah waaah waahhh."

Seriously, only so many fucking times I can watch the same advert on youtube, because they're at the beginning of every fucking video I watch.

  • i love the addon

  • fuck you corporate bitches...i recommend adblock to ALL my friends online and offline..

  • I switched to FIREFOX because of this tool. THANK YOU AdBlock !!!!

  • this addon only need this:

being able to select an efect when it deletes an add (nuclear explosion?)

  • Download adblock to stop ads....don't let youtube become cable tv......thumbs up, copy and paste, AND FIGHT THE POWER!

  • @outerspit55 damn straight, what they want us to be forced to see their extremely annoying, seizure inducing ads all over sites?

excellent for the youtube too, fudge the 30 second ads before videos this aint tv its bad enough there lol

  • @OlderG0ds Also, great for xfire live stream videos. It's irritating having to watch an ad every 20 minutes or every time I reload a page....no thanks!

  • HA Who wants to view his stoopid page

  • adblock is a great tool, we have a right to not have advertsing shoved down our throats at every opportunity, so any companies that dont like it can suck it

  • Wow...no adds. What a great addon. I guess I won't be able to see the adds on his site, so I'll make do by not seeing adds on the rest of the internet either...

  • This guy is f***ing crazy.

  • lol 2.5m users it says. Now in about 3 years its 100million! lol.

  • Oh no... I cant read his blog?? I must die now

  • Lmao this no-body nothing guy danny carlton wants to block people from his blog? That should leave him a whole 6 people that actually reads it, counting his parents and boy friend. Great idea to make sure his name doesn't get out there to anyone. Either let me spam you or you can't read my thoughts! LOL

  • Danny Carlton won't let adblock plus users read his blog?

Well I don't even know who the fuck he is, nor do I really care so...his point is...?

  • now if only there was a way to adblock billboards.

  • Most ads are gifs that can lag your browser. This is actually Propaganda to push people to get faster internet. That's the main reason why I use it.Yet I can't save the memory of AdBlock Plus of what I did block because I have Firefox set to erase the memory when I close it to retain a faster usage.I also change the Pipeline settings by changing it in the about:config settings.I use 200 some change it from 8 to 50-150.The setting of max requested pipelining I use is 200.

  • Danny Carlton is a Bellend

  • blocking firefox users, genius lol!

  • @lazygamer247 GET A REAL JOB, your name says it all mate. it stops lazy faggots like you bumming people off from adverts no one cares about.

  • omfg i've got no ads now :D!!! power to us!!!

  • Thumbs up if you use AdBlock Plus!

  • @OseaNoMamesWey Man, that shit is Fuckin A

  • FUCK ADS !

  • people like me are trying to make money via the internet. It's what we know, what we love so why not start a career out of it? Ad revenue is something we rely on as publishers! In return for our hard work, giving you people good FREE content and sites to come to, all we ask is you selectively view ads on our sites of which you are free to click or not to click on, so strings attached. But now, for convenience your using addons like this to strip us of our revenue which actually funds the sites.

  • Youtube is 1000X better with adblock(:

  • @Ghost109000 jus like the good ol days lol

  • It's pretty clear that the only people who are going to cause a fit about this are the companies that can't get any face time with their ads. Fact is that this isn't television. It's the internet.

  • I already forgot the name of the blogger that won't allow firefox.

  • 'd like to make her scream

  • I don't mind maybe one 15 second advertisement in ten videos however I watched a 15 second long video and there was a 30 second advertisement. once not a big deal however it did it every last time i replayed the video i was like really? the same freaking one! That is abuse and just plain out annoying.

  • Get real. The percentage of people who are using Adblock is a statistical blip.

  • We should not be forced to view ads. If we don't want to view them we shouldn't have to. We already see them enough on TV and pretty much everywhere else in the world. The ads are getting to be too much here on YouTube.

  • Is anyone else having an issue with keeping the adblock plus enabled all of a sudden? It seems as though youtube is turning mine off somehow and i keep needing to switch it back on.

  • @AmusingYeti I don't have this problem, try reinstalling it. If that doesnt work, try reinstalling Firefox.

  • i got it in chrome

  • Those companies only care for their money huh. thumbs up for ADB
