Infra-red is a color that's past our vision of sight on the spectrum. So its something that's there, but can't fully be seen.

It's not a specific color actually, it's all thermal colors, which are too high on the spectrum to be seen by human eyes. certain animals can see it though.

The song mentions being able to see in the dark because night vision goggles use infra-red to "see" things which give off heat.
