well AMD is good but not on laptops we can barely have big cache on desktop what do you think then if you have mobile version and ATI cards its very powerfull since the 4870 X2 comes out we knowed that we will expect the best cards from ati and if you have amd processor along with ati card you have dragon platform and thats awesome but i recommend using powerful ati with i7 cpu

I just got a new laptop w/ windows 7 and vision amd and i can barely run ANYTHING on it!!! I cannot play ANY game without MASSIVE lag! Im really dissapointed.

@TheZombieflesheater hey stupid if youd do your research ati cards have phsyx now and i own both an amd machine and a intel machine with nvidia graphics my amd machine with ati gets 65-70 fps on all high while the intel an nvidia set up gets 50-55 fps on high hmmm i guess amd an ati are better an no nvidia will not take ati if you do your research in january 2011 amd is releasing the antiles series cards 6990 its a 2 gpu card 3 way sli of the 580 wont match its processing nvidia is the one goin

@The91489 3 way 580 is gonna be faster than 6990 cocksuker! A single 580 can outperform all the earth's ati cards. The 6970 (ati latest crap) is a dual core on die gpu and is only targeted to 480. Even the 570 is faster. The antilles crap is 2X6970. Sure it can beat nvidia cards probably but its a 2 GPUs card. BUT Physx work almost good with ati cards but also with tweaked outdated drivers. Sorry Physx are better in Nvidia cards or Intel Cpus. AMD crappy hardware doenst combine there.

@The91489 The 5970 is a 2 X 5870 card (2 GPUs). The 580 is a single GPU. The point is that the GTX580 must be comapared to a 6970 or a 5870. And it looses all the way! Sorry dumbass. The 5970 is the FASTEST CARD the GTX 580 is the FASTEST GPU. SO if nvidia launches a 2 X 580 nothing ATI has will outperform it. Nothing you cunt! Plus...Physx is better in a GeForce. And SLI scability is twice the crossfire solution. Plus... at least the drivers work flawlessly. Catalyst is a nightmare Yes SIR

@The91489 You contradict yourself. The ati drivers can be better. You see, the cypress when it come out was the most advanced gpu ever. But the drivers couldnt extract the extra juice. Fermi however was too hot but it worked. With this final stepping and all the cores working even the 6970 that is a dual cypress couldn even be a match. . Its fair. 5970 is the fastest card no doubt of that. but if the 580 is the fastest gpu, faster than that are 2 in a single card that beats the ass of 2 6970!

@dragnet53 Sorry pal. I had a xfx 5770 and it fried. Then I brought a 5870 and one old dx9 game didnt run. And then it began to presente varous red dots in my monitor...so fuc... it! Lets try nvidia! An cheap one. GTX460 SuperOverclocked. And it worked flawlessly :D then i brought a second GTX460 and my friend IT ROCKS!!! And PhysX are incredible. Now im gonna try 3D Vision. ATI? ahhhh...hum AMD right. No thanks.

For one, Puma, aka the Turion x2 Ultra processors, aka for NOTEBOOKS, do not need drivers because Windows Vista and Windows 7 automatically have drivers for it, hence why all the new processors do not have drivers needed for install.

TWO, the 3650 is simply a 3650, you go to the website and get the 9.12 drivers and your done.

And once again, learn English, or at least the easy to speak and type American.......

Graphics drivers are usually automatically installed with the newer operating systems such as Vista and 7, but NOT always. There are some rare cases where the hardware is too new for the drivers currently provided by Windows and you can only get them via Microsoft update or the AMD/ATI website. Also note that Vista is grossly notorious for lacking compatibility with many systems. Chances are that your issue is because of Windows and not AMD/ATI.

I will also state that laptop driver support for the most part is bad anyway. You are beating on AMD/ATI when I've got a laptop that came with Vista too and has a GeForce Go 6150 graphics chip. NVidia's site has no compatible drivers for it at all. I have to use much older drivers from HP's website. Talk about lack of driver upgrade-ability there. It's because each laptop is tailored to the specifics of the company that assembled it. Not the maker of the graphics chip.
