This version is different from his CD version. He has ability to change songs and makes a better version. I have never seen any singers that have this much power in voice at such a young age. His gifted vocals are hard to find these days.

He's just all around spectacular. Why is he not promoted enough. The public is missin out on this great talent and the media won't ever know what Archuleta is musically composed of. It's unfortunate that his management team does not go all out for him and limits his marketing.

Wow, he's got an amazing voice. And those are some seriously intense lyrics. I can see why he's been hesitant to sing this song to the 12 year olds in the Demi crowd. I don't think his reluctance had anything to do with instrumental composition. He probably has concerns about the effect it could have on troubled teens. It was a good move on his part to follow it immediately with a beautiful rendition of Angels.

I have always thought musically Desperate was good. Those who do not think this song represents David are wrong. Songs are unique creations and David is able to interpret anything, proven most by his wise & beautiful performance of the full version of Imagine when he was just 13 years old!!!! The media try to paint the picture that it's only young girls that like him but it's not true. Many of the guys that attend his shows have written recaps, go on David's fansites and read them. Also if you watch his Sunrise ZG video, @ 3:06-3:12 you will see a gang of guys jumpin', jumpin' along with David. I'm not a teenager either, in fact, my 20 year old daughter loves him too. 8))
