It's a 1-7/8" barrel, and it's my carry gun for self protection, beside's I didn't think that was all that good at 25 yards, but at 7-15 yards I can get a good head shot for SD all day long.
That aint bad shooting, 4" group, at 25 yrds, That will work. If you shoot that well at 25, your 10 and 12 yrd groups should be sweet.. Enough to possibly keep you alive!
@Elvishead That's pretty good. I haven't tried at 25 yards. I think I would have to practice to a lot more to do what you did but damn if you haven't made me want to try. I have the exact model but have kept it under 10 or 12 yards at the range. I also practice mostly in double action like checkityhold down below says. Awesome carry piece. I carry in m y pocket and I forget it's there most of the time.
That's actually pretty fine shooting at 25 yards with a snub. I own a 638 as well and love it. I like to practice rapid fire at 7 yards, double action only. (I think that's how I would actually use it in a desperate situation).
I'm either considering the new Taurus 856 six shot snub nose revolver or the Springfield XD 9mm sub compact as my future concealed carry weapon. What is your opinion? The Taurus is made of magnesium so it is much less in weight, has six shots, and will almost never corrode. This and the xd are the same size pretty much. With the revolver I never have to worry about a jam, but I lose the shot capacity. Any advice would be appreciated :)
how do you like this gun overall? I have been debating between this and varying subcompact 9mm pitols. I think this would be the smallest and lightest for carry. Going for my first gun and was curious. Not bad shooting by any means. Thanks for any input!
What I should do is take my little Bauer .25ACP with a 1.5'' barrel to an indoor range and just empty the magazine into the head of a target at 30yrds.
I don't have my 38 snubby anymore because of trading. I will pick up a new lighter one in a little while.
center mass hits cant ask for much better than that.

Yeah, I like to shoot up to 50 yards. I have two video's uncut at 50.
I can group pretty good at 10-15 yards, but after that it gets pretty hard.
I use I little Beretta 21A 22lr to warm up to save money. That's real hard to shoot, but it help's.

That's kind of a miss match in comparison. The XD9 is by far a better quality gun. IMHO

That's actually waaaaaay to far for a 638. those guns are ment for 10 feet or less. Great shooting at that range. I have one and love it.
