I have a question that may sound a bit stupid in your eyes but bare with me...haha.

How do you keep your leg in such a perfect position? I try sooooo hard to keep my leg back but it ALWAYS slides forwards! Do you keep it still by squeezing with you legs...or putting your weight down into your stirrups...or what?

Push your heel down into your stirrups, and squeeze with your calves. To strengthen your legs do lots of no stirrup work, it sucks, but in the end it'll pay off. Also some saddles aren't built correctly and don't help leg position. Good luck! =D

Thank you for your help! My trainer has got me doing no stirrup work, and I don't think I have ever been so sore in my life! Haha but I am definately starting to see a difference in my position, and I am much more secure over jumps now. I am just hoping that I continue to improve...thanks again! (:

Well I have no idea how hunters works

but i do eventing

what i do to solve that problem is actually opposite..haha

see for the XC part they want a more forward leg so if ur horse refuses u dont fall off hahaa..

but for the leg part about it flying back

ur gripping too much with ur knees probably

use more of ur lower leg and turn your toes in. but if u do hunters then the toes in part...well dont do that xD that is jst to keep ur knees from going out haha i would say for the forward part

to maybe grip more with ur knees then u are with ur lower leg? haha idk cus i have never had that problem. Then again if u do hunters i have no idea what the equation would be because i could be telling you something that will make ur trainers mad ahahah

Thank you so much! I will try squeezing more with my lower leg rather than my knees. It is funny that you mentioned that because I do have a nasty habbit of pinching with my knees. Thanks again for your suggestion, and I will let you know how it goes!(:

wow ur qh is like my old pony who was a qh too they can really jump ya haha tucker can go hier then my old pony but lola could go up to 3'6 with is pretty good for a 14.2 pony!!!! and ur pony is amazing to!!!!! jumping 4'3 at 14.3 hands WOW!!!! haha sory im just so bored!!!

thanks! i use windows movie maker. over the jump, pause it and click 'take still'. then cut the clip in two at the same spot you paused it. place the picture in between the two clips. and voila! :)
