i have ati radeon 4850hd and i got a problem,when i boot it up normally,after the worm logo the screen gets messd up, BUT if i boot it in safe mode it works,WTF?!
i guess i fuck up the driver installion or something, so help plz!
@c0ssu1 I'm not so sure with 4850 but try looking for an updated version of the kext you installed or try netkas.org they usually have lots of help with ATI/AMD graphics.

I've got the same card but seems like Apple changed something on 10.6.3 whenever the radeonx2000 kext was modified it would result in a kernel panic on booting be it replacing it with a 10.6.2 kext or adding the device ID. I'm going to 10.6.2 It looks like
@NickInChaos I fixed it! ^^ IF you're running 10.6.2, Download the 10.6.3 update then copy ATI4600Controller.kext , ATIFrameBuffer.kext and ATISupport.kext to a safe location then install the update. After restarting, you're back to the crappy display. Go to /S/L/E then copy ATIRadeonX200.kext to desktop, open its contents, add 0x94981002 or better, make it the only device id in info.plist then save it. Install all 4 kexts using kexthelper then restart. It worked for me. XD Back-Up first eh.

@rasmastav Try VoodooPS2Controller.kext it works on almost all computers. You can borrow a usb mouse so you can use your hackintosh to install it.

I got it fixed, I just went back to 10.6.2 and used those Kext's which where from JaS and used his dvi- bootloader so I'm all set now haha :D
