  • y do all the good storms happen on my husbands birthday?!?!?! July 18th 2009 the storm that cleared Capital EX! Then this storm on July 18th 2011 a few hrs before the 2011 Capital Ex Parade.

  • This woke me up as well and when I saw the orange light coming through the window I was like that's it we're all going to die! So terrifying when you wake up to this all alone lol

  • I woke up at 4:30 am that day and got some photos of the orange sky and a time lapse of my yard flooding badly. (I'm by Leduc)

  • this woke me up at 5:30 and my house faces west. I thought it was the end of the world as well haha

  • Looks so peaceful from the outside...was really freaky waking up to the orange sky that day.

  • @TheAndrewpeee This happened at 5:30 am. So incredibly bright ( sooooooo orange in person, pics and vids don't do it justice)

  • I was up early that morning in Edmonton, when i saw that. it was neat to see.

  • in winnipeg we have had the hottest days ever the past two days (48 cel) but today were supposed to get hit with thunderstorm hail and its stll 30 degrees

  • It was right after the big freak storm we had in Ottawa that took down bluesfest and debarked lot's of tree's downtown. I've never seen the color of the sky like that though.

  • @joshrussell18 gee josh I have been here all my 57 years and have only seen one such storm.....many powerful cloud formations but never this colour this was a remarkable moment dont you think?

  • @4swzb this was for sure a unique storm, but we do get alot of crazy weather, like the capital ex 2 years ago it was crazy,, it was truely remarkable, i think it is one of those things we will rarely see again, the time of morning and time of the storm was perfect!

  • Shit this was a crazy storm. woke me up too. I was more concerned with sleep this mourn to stay up but it was deadly red out side. and Insane amounts of lightning.
