Acer Aspire AS1410-2039 Notebook

For the guy who said I had no credibility, I am now on my new HP, which I could not afford. My acer fell apart. The area around the keyboard had this paint that tarnished within a month, I replaced it with factory parts it happened again. The place you plug in the power cord broke 2 times and had to be resaudered on, the power cord broke, and the CD tray broke all within a year. I called customer support they said I could ship it there and they MIGHT FIX it and if not, wouldnt refund shipping.

Lol most people that hate it are like FUCK IT. No real reason. I got an acer, it works real fast an was cheaper than most. The battery is pretty good. Maybe not as long as 8 hours, but it was at least 6.

I have this same laptop. Acer has a problem with this in that the battery discharges 5-6% per DAY even when the laptop is completely off. Pulling the battery, it doesn't lose any power so it's the laptop itself that is pulling power even when off. Charged mine last Sunday, 6 days later I power it up and it's at 64% charge. Others are noticing the same thing. Some 1810t are showing this too.

i agree with you but most laptop are heavy 6lbs+ and all of them consume battery life like crazy.

netbooks are good for people who travel or just want something light and for people who don't want to spend $600+
