  • Cool Stuff...

  • PUSSIES!!!

  • lol i clicked on this video then i turned around and this guy was on tv

  • @Devonhomebrew how do u do that

  • Hey if you mix sugar water and yeast can you drink it

  • @mbmanbat yeah you can but you really need to clear it its like a wine yeasty wine can make you sick

  • @ parstices.....You got that right. The government does not give two shits about moonshine they only want to ensure they get their cut. If not they will send out their mercenaries to hunt you down and if necessary kill you. US GOVERNMENT the ultimate criminals.

  • who the fuck wants to drink legal moonshine?

  • it is legal to make up to 10 gallons a year for "personal use"

  • @2ndadmendmutt i know you can make 200 gallons personally for wine and beer but i'm not sure about moonshine

  • The country bears make moonshine

  • It is seriously sad, and fucked that the only reason Moonshine suddenly goes from Illegal, to legal is, because the government gets to start sitting on their ass, and take money YOU earned, and YOU worked for while they didn't do shit. I fucking hate our government.

  • @Parstices Yeah. Those schools and roads, police and firefighters, awater you can safely drink without dying from cholera that our taxes all pay for, not to mention the freedom to say ignorant things in public, sure are fucked up. Me, I want to live in Somalia, or parts of Mexico, somewhere there is no functional government. I invite you to go there, too.

  • @MaxPotter2 Umadbro?

  • @Parstices Nahbruddah. I just wish those who claim to "hate our govt" would look at what our govt actually DOES for us. True, there's scoundrels, wastrels, a-holes, I can find those peeps in my own family, let alone the govt, not to mention the stupid, wasteful wars we spend our taxes on. A blanket "I hate our fucking govt" doesn't contribute anything meaningful to a dialog on policy. Part of being a citizen is paying for the privilege. Even during these tough times, we got it better than most.

  • @MaxPotter2 Umadbro.

  • How much for a case? What is the shelf life on your shine, I heard it is only weeks.

  • is there a license that i could get so i can have my own still for my own personal use?

  • @lightlearner,

You probably already know, but you need a license, unless you use it for fuel. That's what I would do... Use it for fuel, yeah, fuel my thirst for moonshine. LOL

  • @lightlearner yes its called "don't tell anyone"

  • Moonshine..... is liquor made, and delivered, by the light of the moon. By the light of the moon so that Johnny Law can't see ya rollin your hot rod through town loaded with Hooch. Which you all know was the birthplace of auto racing. Drunk good ol boys driving windy country roads at top speed, blinded by shine, with no headlights so as not to be detected. True American outlaws.

  • This guy kinda takes the romanticism away from it huh? Lee theres no such thing as 180 proof huh? haha haaa. I'll order a barrel at that rate, pennies under $25 a gallon... for CHASER =)

  • @stevefreshie and DEAD ONES AT THAT!.

One of The reasons why Moonshine and and other Booze were banned in america because jackasses would go driven around Like fucking Maniacs with no respect for human Life.

    I say legalize WEED instead!.

  • i sell two drums a week at 1500 dollars a drum, not a barrel...a drum standard is 55 gallons, but you can fit 62 gallons in one....i have free natural gas and plenty of corn feilds, the only thing that aint cheap bout this is the sugar....at 15.73 a 25 pound bag and it takes two bags per drum and takes 7 drums to get a barrel of liquor at 100 proof, thats 440 dollars before tax to get 3000

  • well, most people when you make strong moonshine wont buy it cause they say it sets them on fire, besides most moonshine people buy is 100 proof, that's 50 percent alcohol, now if you say, oh no moonshine is 180 proof, no....no it aint, thats folklore, drag out your hydrometer and check it next time you make your run....you'll sell more moonshine at 80 proof then you will at 180 at the same price.....

  • haha

  • if they sold it at full strength, too many people would probably "overdose" on it and end up hurt or dead... thus the reason to cut it so damn much. I agree with "the86thcreator", it ain't shine, just weak liquor in a metric bottle with a poor label.

  • A old guy i na farm, with a mosutache. Yep defenitly not a pedophile

  • In the last seconds, I see the cardboard boxes with ml - a metric term for millilitres. So is this 26 fluid ounces, or 750ml for the overseas market?

  • @hellonewman1 Well them liquor stores around here in Tennessee sell in quantities of 750mL, 1L, and 1.75L so i guess they wanted to be more uniform with compitition. Although if you can eve make it to canada they sell themselves a 3L bottle of Jack :D

  • They sell it at "80 proof"....that aint shine

  • @the86thcreator "Moonshine" simply means alcohol that is made at night with the moon shining. It has nothing to do with proof.

  • @TechnicianMad thankyou captain whogivesashit, but traditionally moonshine isn't capped at 80 proof. Shine or white lightning generally has to be watered down to 80 proof.

  • @the86thcreator wrong

  • @the86thcreator i know that only 40% abv......get some 90% abv at 180 proof then you can call it shine.....lol

  • As a person ages, they learn that there's more to drinkin' than getting loaded as fast and cheap as possible. To paraphrase Julian of the Trailer Park Boys', "You've got to pace yourself." Okay then, with that in mind, consider watching "Ralfy" on this youTube site, and learn about single malt Scotch whisky and how to approach it.

  • Dude looks like he has a mouth full of corn in his mouth.

  • The Russians call it water...

  • @MachineFight "russians call it water?" when was the last time you saw 180 proof vodka?

  • Of course it's legal, cause "we pay the tax on it." That's the only reason why moonshine is illegal.. If the government can't get their money off of nothing, than they will ban anything :P

  • Respond to this video... can i get the address of yer farm so i can pop by sumday

  • white dog...yuck

  • My folks call it corn liquer. I am partial to apple or peach brandy.

  • He's Jed Clampett's twin brother.

  • moonshine mmmm it reminds me of duke of hazard. im go watch now

  • very cool enterprise

  • beautiful!

  • i want moonshine please

  • good ol poison

  • your grandfather would be ashamed.sellout to the man

  • @nomnzlnd he would have done the same thing if he could

  • @mageac deffintly not selling out to the man back then automatic death sentance.half of moonshine making is the car chases of cops in pursuit..

  • @nomnzlnd in actuality the real moonshiners made it to make a living, the back roads sticking it to the man and running from the cops bs is just in movies

  • @mageac dude yous is high as a mutha fucka my grand dad and his dad were both runnas and thats why its called running, and nascar racing is known to have got its start from runnas.stupid ass..its the only generation were crime had the upperhand on law with firearms and supped up cars...also everyone did it to make a living, you think they liked the smell your a full fledged shit talker STOP IT!!!hhaa clown

  • @nomnzlnd ... so you think moonshiners make it just for the thrill... whens the last time you heard someone who grew weed just so they could have the thrill of running from the cops...

btw the moonshiners didn't do the "running" they hired people to take the heat from themselves, again, how many people have big weed grow ops and then try to smuggle it across the border... none...

hell it even works that way 99% of the time one t.v... but they get away on t.v... not so easy in real life

  • @mageac dude you just took everything i said and made it your own asshole, your a joke give it up..and my grandfather and his father were there own runners cause they couldnt afford to hire runners thats a real moonshiner..made in america was on last night, with larry the cable guy all about moonshining.watch it and learn sommin..oh and the guys making it now a days do it for the art and family tradition.and are you a fucking idiot there are thousands of guerilla ops in mexico smuggling weed over

  • @nomnzlnd so you watched a show with larry the cable guy and now you know everything... great source of facts there

  • @mageac actually shithead not only did i tell u i have generations of runnas in the family(unlike yourself).but the show took it str8 to the roots and showed everything so it was a huge source of moonshinning knowledge(another thing you ain got)when you actually have something smart to say or dont take my words twist them around and make them yours.then ill comment back...goodbye idiot.learn your history instead of being just another keyboard poking dumbass thats ruining the younger generation.

  • @nomnzlnd your language and spelling, punctuation, etc also screams "im smart so listen to me"

im glad your informed me of your superior knowledge

if shine was made they way you think it was it would have been lost forever

  • @mageac No its not just in movies. When my great-grandaddy made it he had a 68 mustang just for that job.

  • Whether a liquor is home made, or professionally made, legal made or illegally made. You wouldn't call an illegal home still making wine, moonshine. you'd call it wine.

If the alcohol content is around 90% and mostly flavorless thats what moonshine is in my book.

  • @purplemutantas You are correct, the definition of moonshine is an illicit liquor made without charging taxes on the sales. Legal making in NZ like home brewing in the states taxes are still not imposed unless you are reporting sales of it.

Now days a lot of companies here in the states are making white likker & selling it through state taxed liquor stores and calling it moonshine. It seems to be the new fad now to do this, and it is completely what moonshine is not.

  • This is right next to my homeplace.

  • She was only a moonshiners daughter but I loved her still !

  • if you have evr had 200 proof you would never drink again! We used to make it in my biotechnology class, with the water distiller, I couldn't even walk during those days of school.

  • @fangreaper5 everclear about 190 you spit fire.,and no big deal keep it coming wanna see what us boyz do dat drink dat shit all day check out gloucester greasy pole 2007 we got alcohol in our blood out here lol

  • Go Chuck

  • Moonshine means illicit likker.....No fuckin taxes paid......fuckin assholes tryin to make money off the Moonshiner's life.

  • @hillbilly1027 I would define moonshine as liquor made somewhere other than a licensed distillery. Home distillation is legal in New Zealand. Even though it's legal, I would regard home made NZ liquor as moonshine.

What you seen in the vid may be an old moonshine recipe. But since it's made in a licensed distillery, it isn't moonshine anymore.

  • Ahhh I love the American Dream!

  • Hell yeah, corn liquor.

  • Well his tastes like shit.. And he is willing to be raped by the U.S.

  • I wanna do this when I'm older :D

  • @ComedyRoundTheCorner it would be a cool retirement job

  • Comment removed

  • that is awesome

  • It's just weak moonshine at legal levels of proof so that makes it more of a crapy whisky un aged straight up but I guess you can still call it moonshine just realize it's about half as strong as what's commonly called moonshine which at the alc levels is still illegal. I bet if you had a still and ran it through one time it be right up there with the best.

  • Who cares if it's legal or illegal moonshine...just pass that bottle right over here.

  • Lemme take a case of that sir and put it on hold for 2 years when i turn 21 (damn government) i wanna drink white lightning now XD

  • not willing to buy it as its only 100 proof moonshine should be in the range of 19 to 200 proof

  • @leaderOFsatan 200 proof is certain death dude... thats 100% pure alcohol

  • @epinky2295 Its actually impossible to get it that pure the highest ive ever seen or heard of 98%

  • @ChickenHawkKicker I know, but I explained to this dumbass how hes wrong

  • @ChickenHawkKicker 98% is fatal lol, its just not worth having it higher than the average proofing level.

  • @Pawnbroker00 Agreed. Anything above 98% is fatal from what I understand so far. To close to methynal. But hey I just got into the hobby, so I may be wrong. I am still learning from an old timer at the moment.

  • @budlightxcowboy not fatal unless you ingest too much ,as with any alcohol, beer ,or otherwise. This stuff must be taken slowly and in small amounts, there ain't no hurry anyway right? Pour some in yer truck and off you go.Cheaper than gasoline too. I'll be building my eathanol still this month, fuck OPEC and BP,Shell,Exxon and all those assholes. Americans are innovative enough to get by without 'em. Peace...

  • @budlightxcowboy You mean 98%ABV?? Why would you want to drink something so high proof? Dillute it down to about 45-50%. If you a using sugar water and turbo yeast, you won't get enough methanol in a hundred gallons to hurt you. Methanol is a wood alcohol. It was once manufactured by distilling wood. You aren't going to get much methanol, if any, from distilling mash. Stick to the basics and you'll be fine.

  • @ChickenHawkKicker Ethanol forms an azeotrope with water at 95.63% alcohol by volume. So you can't get higher than 95.63% ABV unless you vacuum distill.

  • I have a great idea let's add some rye and wheat to the mashbill then age the upgraded moonshine in charred oak barrels to give it a smoother taste. No, forget it no one would ever buy a product like that.

  • @Zyworski Its a completely different taste when you go through with the extra work to make straight whiskey. Some people prefer "White Lightning" or Moonshine.

  • @Zyworski Real Americans pollock!

  • how do you make mash? boil water....add yeast and cornmeal....then just let it ferment? what temp do you ferment at? ive done freez idstilation and gotten pretty good results...and i want to build a still sometime soon

  • whats the brand of corn whisky? i would love to try it...

  • Whiskey that is un-aged, and not barrelled - commonly called white dog in U.S.

  • if you say this aint real shine then you haven't had it yet. nothing hits you quicker than the lightning. i live fifteen minutes away from the farm. trust in it and buy it!

  • @ballbagjim i live in tn and i was wandering if theres a website to order it

  • Dont know about moonshine but I tried some moonsugar when I was travelling around Vvardenfell recently.

  • If he pays taxes on it, it is legal. If it is legal it is NOT moonshine. Moonshine is ILLEGAL whiskey. Duh...

  • @Z4CHC True, but they call it moonshine because it is made in the style of moonshine. Many people grew up around moonshine and prefer it over other legal spirits.

  • Good shine shouldn't have any taste or smell. I worked for a guy in Clarksville TN and the stuff he had was smooth and tasteless, but damn did it pack a buzz.

  • it aint moonshine if its legal.

Real moonshine has that small scale labor intensive goodness to it. Something mass production will never copy.

  • my grandfather in ky years ago made shine and my moms maiden name was miller. this is a great video. I would love to visit a place like this very nice.

  • moonshine taste horrible.

  • @N1ZM01 haven't you had good shine then. it should b smooth over the tounge and warm your guts up. when your drunk on good shine it feels electric.

  • why do u yeh want to make legal?

  • In Ireland, we have poteen, distilled from spuds. Lethal stuff, but deceptively innocent smelling.

  • Its pretty easy to shine your self.. just look up a SAFE setup at home (you can even use a crock pot) look up a good easy mash recipe for your first time (cracked corn is easy) and give your still a few good runs.. perfection and safety is the key, and hell, would u complain about spending 40 bucks for a few gallons of around 150-180 proof???? not me i just tip a glass of party likker

  • back in the day my grandfather would visit relatives in the south. when he came back to the city, he would bring back some deer meat, raccoon meat, and of course an American original(good ole fashion Buck)! that stuff would put hair on your chest.

  • I LOVE TO HEAR STORIES LIKE THAT!!!!!

  • Puts hair on your chest, peels paint, and can run your car on it.

  • wow that looks amazing and they do it all by themselves

  • they make some mighty tastay moonshine yall ! Diddle dum!

  • lol

  • my granddad makes this sheet in his basement illegally h aha

  • Let me guess, that's an old dairy farm?

  • Sweet now lets do the same thing with marijuana.

  • @JonnyTommyGuns I agree...

  • @JonnyTommyGuns way ahead of you man

  • @JonnyTommyGuns nope.

  • I like beer

  • Start Selling This Is The Delta Of Mississippi I'll Buy Out All That Moonshine Before You Can Count To 10!

  • At 2:27 the security system looks to be sleeping on the floor.

  • just so you know IT IS SUPOSE TO TASTE HORRIBLE its not refered to as belly fire for nothing and shine should never be in the hands of someone that would compare it to a apple marti

  • Looks like a great novelty item, but without storage that stuff has to taste horrible!

  • no actually if you have an abc store or somewhere you can buy alcohol then you can pick it up there...it's not bad but dumbed down a lil for consumers

  • Is this only for sale down south?

  • good for them! cool story..

  • Where can I buy some? I live in Indiana

  • I know popcorn sutton. What a guy, he can make some good shine, Anyone know if he is still alive ? and is he still selling? i would like get some more really bad. Have a good time drinking....

    Enjoy

    AJ Johnson

  • Popcorn died yesterday. 3-16-09

  • where can we send flowers to?

  • Proof = 2 x % abv(alcohol by volume). 200 proof is 100% alcohol. And you can't make over 95.6% with a conventional still. You need a vacuum or zeolite. to get the other 3.4%.

  • Drop some cinnamon leaves in your bottle and it takes away some of the strong taste, while still tearing you up.

  • What a sellout. Making it "legitimate" takes moonshine and makes it just a sub-standard liquor product. Totally disrespectful to the spirit of bootlegging.

  • weed makes you retarded.

  • brothers. . let us see them both for what they are. Proof that we are loved by divine sources. It is only bad attitudes that lead us astray . . and make poison out of medicine. Why not try both together for a true mountain delight. = )

  • cant we have both, some shine and some ganj =) that would make me happy =D

  • i agree with that lol

  • Shut up, hippie.

  • Yea found out I can order this online, my bottle will be here in a few days, yee haaa

  • whats the website

  • whats the name of the moon shine they make I would like to buy some of that

  • Tax is theft

    peace :)

  • @haansgruber check out how George Gordon shows people how to use loopholes in the law that can never be closed because its in constitutional law, to do business without a license

  • @haansgruber yep

  • i would love to see a illegal moonshinery that produces the same amount of moonshine as that place does

  • Come to Cocke county,TN...we're playing your tune
