I met Sophie yesterday at my Arts Ed audition. She is lovely. Gave me a hug and asked me how my audition went, also met Jessica who also goes to Arts Ed.

I'm from the US and missed this entire series. From the performances I've seen on here I'm very impressed with Sophie's voice and stage presence but I'm not being given the whole picture. Based on some of the comments I've read that hit her personality I'm wondering if her character is a bit lacking. Was she a jerk in the interviews or backstage? Someone clue me in please.

I think people thought that she wasn't the strongest performer- lots of the others had much more experience than she did and she was one of the weakest dancers.
She was more timid than the others and didn't do as good a job of selling herself to the cameras but I think that was quite refreshing for a reality show contestant!

christinas is wayyy better this girls accent makes it sound so weird. shes not bad but christina puts so much more emotion in hers and uses the power in hr voice and her vocal range to make the songs message stronger. christina builds up more in the end and uses diffrent pitches, in the begining nd end shes higher pitched n gives it a suttle begining and ending. i garuntee this girl could not sing it the way christina did and hit her notes.

@athlete2020k your missing a few facts, Sophie hit notes in her chest voice that Christina did not, Xtina switches from chest to head and vice versa throughout the song, Sophie did not try to hit high head notes but that doesn't mean she couldn't. Some people prefer this song in predominantly chest, others like the continual switching from chest to head, doesn't mean that ones wayy better than the other
I was never sure about Sophie... till this moment and i just saw Dorothy in this performance. I liked both her and Danielle so didnt mind who won. But Sophie will go far and i would pay money to see her!
@SouthBluno don't get me wrong Sophie is a great singer, but in my opinion Danielle had a more solid performance throughout. If Sophie had been English maybe she would have won. I still wish it had been Sophie.
Loved Sophie from the start and she got better week after week but probably had too much to do to catch Danielle who I think was the right winner for Dorothy. My top 4 were Danielle Sophie Stephanie and Lauren. I think most of the girls in the top 11 will do well
Woah, a lot of arguing here! Jumping in with my opinion for what it's worth: The point here is not who is a better singer/actress/dancer, rather it is who is better suited to this particular role, and people voted for Danielle rightly I think. Sophie will land herself a role at some point and I would very much like to see her on the stage when that happens because she is awesome. However Danielle was my favourite from early on for this show, and Sophie became my second favourite half way.
I came across wrong. She is a very talented girl. Danielle is a west end musical big fan, and only applied because it was a musical show. Sophie has been on x factor, on bbc tv, on this and probably other things. She didn't have the same passion for this that Danielle had.
I don't see why you are all so nasty to Danielle. It's the british mentality to back the runner up and rip down the winner. She was great and deserved to win, she got more votes. Why be so nasty about it?
Sophie has a beautiful voice, her acting comes through with subtle facial expressions (rather than being over the top) and her voice shows her emotion as well. It is a shame she didn't win I think she suited the part more than Danielle, however both of them are very talented. So well done to both Sophie and Danielle.
To be quite honest, Sophie would be wasted in X Factor. She's much too talented! Beautiful voice, and this version of Reflection shows that she can be as good as Danielle in acting and the subtlety in the singing. Personally I think she looks more like Dorothy than Danielle. Love Danielle, but I have a soft spot for Sophie, I've noticed her from day 1, her voice stands out amongst them all. And does anyone think John Patridge looked like he was gonna cry!?
She has a wonderful voice - always stood out for me even from the very first day when there were 20 of them! She looks so sweet, and I am so impressed with her 2nd version of Reflection. The 1st was bland, but the 2nd it's like WOW. Shows she CAN put in the subtlety and emotion that Danielle's so good at, it shows she can do it as well as Danielle. Danielle was a natural at acting, Sophie can't beat that, but while I love Danielle I also think Sophie also deserves to win. She'll get signed defo!

@SouthBluno don't get me wrong Sophie is a great singer, but in my opinion Danielle had a more solid performance throughout. If Sophie had been English maybe she would have won. I still wish it had been Sophie.

Loved Sophie from the start and she got better week after week but probably had too much to do to catch Danielle who I think was the right winner for Dorothy. My top 4 were Danielle Sophie Stephanie and Lauren. I think most of the girls in the top 11 will do well

Woah, a lot of arguing here! Jumping in with my opinion for what it's worth: The point here is not who is a better singer/actress/dancer, rather it is who is better suited to this particular role, and people voted for Danielle rightly I think. Sophie will land herself a role at some point and I would very much like to see her on the stage when that happens because she is awesome. However Danielle was my favourite from early on for this show, and Sophie became my second favourite half way.

I came across wrong. She is a very talented girl. Danielle is a west end musical big fan, and only applied because it was a musical show. Sophie has been on x factor, on bbc tv, on this and probably other things. She didn't have the same passion for this that Danielle had.
I don't see why you are all so nasty to Danielle. It's the british mentality to back the runner up and rip down the winner. She was great and deserved to win, she got more votes. Why be so nasty about it?

Sophie has a beautiful voice, her acting comes through with subtle facial expressions (rather than being over the top) and her voice shows her emotion as well. It is a shame she didn't win I think she suited the part more than Danielle, however both of them are very talented. So well done to both Sophie and Danielle.

To be quite honest, Sophie would be wasted in X Factor. She's much too talented! Beautiful voice, and this version of Reflection shows that she can be as good as Danielle in acting and the subtlety in the singing. Personally I think she looks more like Dorothy than Danielle. Love Danielle, but I have a soft spot for Sophie, I've noticed her from day 1, her voice stands out amongst them all. And does anyone think John Patridge looked like he was gonna cry!?

She has a wonderful voice - always stood out for me even from the very first day when there were 20 of them! She looks so sweet, and I am so impressed with her 2nd version of Reflection. The 1st was bland, but the 2nd it's like WOW. Shows she CAN put in the subtlety and emotion that Danielle's so good at, it shows she can do it as well as Danielle. Danielle was a natural at acting, Sophie can't beat that, but while I love Danielle I also think Sophie also deserves to win. She'll get signed defo!
