@EmbraceTheHeart You're not the only one, I noticed it too LOL I'm not sure how to explain it, but from what I've seen based on interviews and other dramas, young Japanese men seem to be pretty open with showing affection or "skinship" with other men they're close to (hugging, touching, etc). The Takagi twins (Hikaru & Kaoru) are pretty touchy-feely in real life too. . .but I guess that's kinda different since they're brothers. . .X-)

This episode is actually episode 10 in the Anime(A day in the life of the Fujioka Family!) but the shock of the episode is kind of killed because in episode 2 of this version Haruhi announces to the club that her father is a Transvestite whereas in the Anime they don't find it out until they meet him for the first time(He also shows in "Haruhi in Wonderland" and the second "Lobelia" episode as well as the final) but yeah when this happened the first time I was like "Do..what?"
