  • So beautiful. This song can truly move souls.

  • УЛЕТЕЛ!!!

  • Fantastic, one of the best solo performances i've ever heard.

  • And yet, Adele and the Foo Fighters are winning the Grammys. Just goes to show you how stupid humans have become.

  • Joe Bonamassa is the blues guitarist of his generation; exceptional.

  • @rhoads83j dont forget satch

  • @rhoads83j No. If Your eyes are disturbed, nearly blinded by the spotlights, useful to wear sunglasses on stage. (I never wear sunglasses in sunshine, can,t stand while driving, but - very long ago - used sometimes on stages.)

  • @rhoads83j so you wear glasses indoors

  • epic epic song listen to it everyday. it will never get old!!!!! NEVER

  • Am speechless - touched my soul!

  • That was just amazing.

  • 2:51 I Can do this !

  • Exquisite playing with elements of Free, Led Zep, Garry Moore in the style. Good company to be in. Keep it up Joe.

  • cant wait for the show in April, in Blackpool....JB is surely one of the most under rated guitarist of all time, he should be named with the rest of em....keep on rockin

  • That was incredible.

  • been crying for the last 20 years that music has gone lame...wow! Bonamassa is just great!

  • this just blew my mind, love it

  • Word can not describe how this performance makes me feel. I wonder what was going through Bonamassa's mind while playing this because damn it, this is so emotive. His heart and soul is in this one!

  • Somebody wrote on one of these Sloe Gin pages that this version is "one of Joe's best." If there is a better one anywhere on Youtube or anywhere else, please let me know ASAP... Seriously...

  • But Can He Play Smoke on the Water?

  • @oliverf12 Yes, Find it on Youtube.... :D

  • @oliverf12 you mean smoke on the water one of the easiest songs to play? :P

  • @oliverf12 Yeah ... "But will he blend ?? Huh" ;)

  • @oliverf12 I bet he can!

  • @oliverf12 YES !!! He can!! :D /watch?v=GilRKfBMMfg

  • who are the fucking dislikers ?

  • I think this is one of the best songs ever wrote, it's just so beautiful. I wish i could play it so well as him

  • First caught this tune on Jango.com & had to stop what I was doing to take it in. Learned from Google the song was actually written for Tim Curry back in the 70s -- yeah, Tim Curry who played FrankNFurter in Rocky Horror! I used to emcee a cabaret show back then and did one of Frank's numbers in drag. Show was a big hit, but I didn't get laid once for months afterwards. Sure wish I'd known about "Sloe Gin" and done it, instead. Woulda been a whole different story, I'm sure... ;-P

  • I actually saw Joe just a few years ago at a local Mexican restaurant and wrote him off as yet another overhyped SRV wannabee. Man, was I ever wrong... White boy has a boatload of soul. He channels Mark Knopfler's "Telegraph Road/Planet of New Orleans," Peter Frampton's "Lines on my Head," Jeff Beck's "Cause We Ended as Lovers" and a host of others in this one song, and then adds his own unique JuJu. One of the best, if not BEST blues tune I've heard -- and I been listenin' for 50 years...

  • I want to go on Your Concert in 14'march'12 in S-Pb!

  • What??? 2:58 oh never mind I thought he missed a note but it was my Album it skipped he must have scratched it with that lick at 2:52

  • no words can express, his brilliance.

  • Que Solo meu deus

  • What a great gift he has,so glad he decided to take this path in his life,he is a phenomenon, everyday I find another one of his song that I can't believe is so perfect. I Love them all, keep them coming Joe!

  • I'm embarrassed to say this is the first time I have ever heard this guy play. The only way I know his name is because Epiphone has a signature guitar. What's his story?

  • @robiandolo He may just be one of the best guitar players to ever live. The fact that rolling stone doesn't recognize him makes it all the more evident.

  • @vetteguy1985 After I wrote the comment I checked out his Bio. Wow, he played with BB King at 8YO. Boy, now I know I suck. LOL! Impressive resume for a young guy. I'm gonna check out more of his stuff. I like your Rolling Stone comment. do they still do music or just spew their opinion at the reader?

  • @robiandolo his story is this: at age 5 he watched Clapton (i think) play at the Royal Albert Hall. He was so struck by it that he chose to become a guitar player. He player so much his parents had to FORCE him out of the house and do something else

FFW few years, he is on a stage playing with B,B,King just to give you an idea how much potential this kid had

Right now, at age 33 he is one of the most talented and respected guitar player around

  • @raargh2 Now I know why he has a signature ax with Epi [Love Epi's - BTW]. Nice chatting, take care.

  • Decent

  • Smokin' guitar work.

  • Joe, is at the top of my list of 5 greatest guitarist of all time.

  • fantastic song ,fantastic solo,i love his playing but i think some of you guys need to listen to KWSand philip sayce before hailing him as the new messiah ,he's one of a few amazing blues rock guitarists at the moment who are fantastic ,i have played for a long time myself ,but lost the feel for guitar music for a while when nirvana and oasis hit town so lets be thankfull there are guys like this around to keep this music alive and kicking

  • JOE the GREATIST!

  • 5:10-6:40 JIZZ!!

  • anyone else think he looks like marshall from how i met your mother?

  • The lead playing early on reminds me of Brothers in Arms.

  • 6:20 pouting lips dude lol! "BLUE STEEL, BABY!"

  • shit made me cry

  • it takes me to other lands. wonderful soloo

  • haven't heard such guitar playing in such a long long time!!!! fucking brilliant!!!

  • Does know the make and type of Joe's sunglasses?

  • @nami4549 I'm 99% sure they are "Maui Jim".... I have the same pair. VERY comfortable and light as a feather...Dee Snider wears they as well. Not cheap though, I paid $250 for mine.

  • @nami4549 The model is the Ka’anapali....Check their website. Great glasses!

  • @nami4549 black & tinted. you're welcome

  • im so fuckin lonely, asshole. sing it right or fuck off

  • @kenjajesfeelit Wouldn't fit in, would it love?

  • @kenjajesfeelit sometimes it's better to give it your own touch you know. He doesn't seem like the guy who swears, even less in Royal Albert Hall infront of a mature audience.

  • 19 people that listened to this don't know what real music is

  • Sorry, but that's the best guitar solo I've heard in like 20 years.

  • @Malikon13 There is nothing to be sorry about!!!!

  • @Malikon13 If you liked that solo, watch and listen to "So Many Roads".

  • Gary Moore was...rather boring

  • Great heart and fluid playing....he has my vote as he plays from the heart and has great touch and I like his voice.....he has a deep soul and it reflects in his playing...... a breathe of fresh air so to speak. He lets himself be on the crest of the breaking wave allowing the gift to come trhough and married to all of his hard work over the years the result is a sweet magic.

  • Classic !

  • Go from here to: "Gary Moore-The Messiah Will Come Again (Montreux 1990)". And listen.

  • Joe is geat! But; I keep waiting for someone to point out that Joe sounds like a slower, less talented, less evolved Gary Moore. No offense to Joe meant. Gary was simply the best Rock-Blues player ever.

  • @johnnylance are you joking man?! look for Gary Moore's live shows...i think that 80% is so poor comparing it to record version. Joe is genius, he doesn't tweedle without melody like Gary live, he builds beautiful melodies during solo.

  • Simply tremendous. The first time that I saw Joe was at a new year's eve party, and the host played a dvd from Royal Albert Hall. Been watching him and group on you tube every night since.Awesome to say the least.

  • 06:18 "quack, quack, quack"

  • this.... moved.. me :(

  • I never heard of this guy. Then suddenly he is revealed as this major blues artist. I denied this idea for several tunes, and finally was able to acknowledge Joe as THE authentic Blues guy, with reasons to feal the usual reasons for fealing the blues (there are so many). May he continue with his explorations into the psyche.

  • If you are alive... You can feel thus man's soul through every note.. the Les Paul can as it sings 'til you hear it cry from its very soul.. Amen to the blues!

  • I hate to say anything mean in any way. We lost Gary Moore who was just killer, but as I watch Joe here....well as one falls another will pickup the flag and carry on, am I being a jerk by saying that he is carrying on what I think Gary would be doing.

  • 6:18 lol

  • glad hes using less assistance in this video. no delay, sounds alot like page

  • Divine. Simply divine.

  • This is why the Gibson Les Paul will always be my favourite guitar .. pure blues!

  • @tweekyd Agree 100%!

  • This is another dimension of music.

  • at 1:20 shades of Peter Frampton!

  • guitar the way it was meant to be! Wonderful

  • I was not aware of him, until very recently. Sorry! Sorry for me, because this is a real highlight.

Good to know that there are gifted guitarists! Nowadays. Thank you so much for uploading!!!

  • JB pours his soul out and if you can hear, you will be blessed with his talent.

  • if this song were a potato....

Its not a potato, its a choir of the Gods.

  • Outstanding start to finish, but from 7:15 to the end .... WOW what a way to finish! Thanks JB.

  • Love

  • WOW!!! That's really all I can say. Just discovered Joe and he is quickly moving to the top of my favorites list!!

  • I like how he sways back and forth while soloing. BEST SOLO EVER

  • Don't let that man board a plane!!

  • @Birch2800 Really!

  • Just amazing. Love this particular performance by JB.

  • He's F* AWESOME.

  • never heard a better guitar tone- odd, i hear every detail note - not like he is a mimic man of Robben Ford or Eric Johnson.Mr.Steve Morse would shake this kids world, note for note.Tone is great- but i feel no soul.Yes -i saw him with B.B.as a side kick.If 1996 is about that time- let me know

  • As usual - silly postings that have nothing to do with Joe and his abilities. I regret that I didn't see him in town (Ottawa) last year, but sure as hell will should he appear in town in 2012. I'll bring all of my (several) friends and cheer like crazy, whether Clapton is there or not.

  • I have a total respect for this man, and what I would call a "subtle overdriven" technique for the blues. His stuff as a twelve year old pales into insignificance when it comes to the here and now.

  • My mom called his guitar playing "noise".

I pointed at the door saying "get out of this house, now!"

  • @skillguitar How the tables have change. My Mom would have loved this. She was so diverse in music. First five years of life all i heard classical and jazz. Miss Her.

  • @skillguitar so did mine mate!, i just told her to get back in the kitchen

  • @skillguitar Do not let her in! :D

  • @skillguitar she was probably mad cuz u didnt do ur homework kid xP

  • @Hellraiser2956 Well I reckon that listening to Joe Bonamassa is way more important than homework :D

  • @skillguitar Well - maybe at least as important ;-)

  • @skillguitar im doing both right now :D

  • @skillguitar I sit now and watch this video, and i improve on my guitar. But i havent done my homework yet, really. And i think i will also very late today and watch this video and imrpove on my guitar. Its amazing how Joe plays.!""!!

  • I'm sure that in 3 years he'll be in the top 20 best guitarist ever

  • lol i love how people are putting down his writing.....but this song is a cover.

  • very well done, Joe has really made his playing so much more refined

  • PERFECT!...JB is the man..i swear...

  • does anyone else hear as much frampton in his tone and playing as i do?

  • Just amazing, totally gonna like him on Facebook now.

  • Mr. Anderson

  • agreein with 6:20

  • QUE PEDAZO VOZ.ME ENCANTA.

  • @kd350 What the fuck is this?

  • @kd350 Dude.. are you messed up in the head or something? You're talking total nonsense..

  • @skillguitar Listen to the song sir. Do the lyrics stand on their own in a poem? Is there any political or communal importance or relevance? Self absorbed prattle.

  • @kd350

You're just jealous that you can't play a guitar as good as Joe

  • @CrazyClown599 I'll smoke his but in open e bro no problem

  • @kd350 shut the fuck you you missreable fat fuck

  • @97MrBlues I weigh 140 and am 5'9". Who's fat?

  • @WineShopGirl You're really small lol

  • @WineShopGirl You got a hot ass?

  • When Joe started to play less notes per second it started to sound like great peace of music :) Awesome!

  • that solo is the most god damn awsome thing i've ever heard!!!

  • I suggest you listen to Black Country Communion.

  • FLA OUT,JOE IS THE NEW KING OF THE BLUES HANDS DOWN,JOE YOU ROCK !!!!

  • never heard a better guitar tone, dont think i ever will

  • there was really no need for him to raise his hands like that.. :P. but amazing song

  • Awesome.

  • Who in hell can say that they dislike this guy? sixteen people got to be fools, he is so smooth and soulfull. I first heard Joe Bonamassa about a year and a half, maybe two years ago and I,ve been a fan ever since. Love your show.

  • I've seen the 14-year old Joe under the guidance of Blues elders, and totally get his influence of the English blues scene, the riffs, and the BIG amps. This started in the 60s, and will not relent until the death of the last Boomer. Hope it's me!

  • hes absolutly amazing dont get me wrong. but hes also kind of a rip off artist. has no one noticed he got his tone and all of his licks from clapton, frampton, eric johnson, bb and albert king. he does have his own style ill give him that

  • Sorry, yall, but this is posing. Very fluid, million dollar posing. He's a cool as hell guitar freak, but this performance is unconvincing. Although the same was probably said of Frampton Comes Alive. Who knows. Great tone.

  • @Brennansdad "Sorry, yall, but this is posing." Not everyone gets this....I do..I saw JoeBlomammsa live well before RAH....he was playing on the back of a trailer....Posing = It was never said about Frampton...he had all the chicks, the licks, the tricks....good songs...and hair...and all the dudes dug his sound in the 70's too....Joe always reminds me of the line from the Simpson's "Your playing, while technically proficient, lacks passion." He hits the Boss Delay - no good songs.

  • @BlueSpawnRecords You're a piss ant simpleton.

  • @Brennansdad you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Posing? This man runs his own record label, and played for BB king when he was 12. There is so much soul in his playing... I feel sorry for you if you can't recognize it. You don't deserve to listen to his music.

  • A master craftsman plies his trade in where else but the A hall, what more could you ask for Brilliant

  • WOW! I do love those guitarists where you only need to listen to one note, and instantly you'll be able to tell who's playing.
