  • what r the measurements of the 2x4's..and what size ply did u use for the base...thanks

  • Spencer, thanks again for your how to video and for the word document you sent me. my zombie is finally alive! check out my video too!

  • @nzigon Can you share that with some others. I am super excited to build one of these for Halloween. I can't wait to scare so many people.

  • What are the dimensions of each piece of wood. Great job building it, I ordered the parts but trying to proportion it right.

  • where did you get your cylinders ? :O

  • Hello awesome video. im just starting to build a holloween display. and would like to build this prop. can you email me a build plan if possible thanks. Is the cylinder a (1 1/8) Scott email is sjmuncie@comcast.net

  • Hello again i built this last year thanks so much on the how to it scare the kids and the adults to!!I have a ?I am building a morgue this year and I wanted to know what I can use for the body bag to move ?I also wanted to know what I can do for the coffin to go up and down? Can U email me with suggestions ?Tania6928@aol.com I want to start building early!!

  • COOL! I cant wait for HALLOWEEN!!!

what PicoBOO controller did you use? Do you need 4 relay outputs on the controller?

  • Where did you get the head?

  • It's from Distortions Unlimited as part of their resurrection series. But someone has already checked, they stopped selling it.

  • Hi casafear1,

I just have to say.... that is VERY cool. one thing I would like you to show in another video is all of the air line conections and any electronics that you put with it and how that is conected to the set-up.

Thanks a bunch I want to biuld one.

  • One more question for you.Where did you get your sounds for your prop?I've been looking around on the web and am not pleased yet.I love the whole brains sounds!!

  • The sounds bytes are a combination of several bytes from Poison props Volume 1 monsters and zombies cd.

  • AWSOME PROP!!!!!! i'm building my one right now,but mine seems to have a big forward lean.any ideas?

  • Try rotating the lower arms (or elbows) so they point away from each other more. If that doesn't work you may not have the arms separated properly. The closest points on the arms should be about 27 inches apart.

  • how do you wire the solenoid valve?

do you use a regular extension cord or what kind of wire do you use?

  • It depends on the soleniod you are using and its power requirements. For this prop, I used a Picoboo controller which needs a 110V soleniod, so I basically used an extension cord. If you have a soleniod that is 12/24V, then you will need a controller that can use 12/24v and a transformer to power it.

  • what size wood did u use we building this right now!

  • I used 2x4 where I cut 4 pieces (2 upper arms, 2 lower arms) at 12" and 12 1/2" for the shoulders. If you send me an email to casa.fear[at]gmail.com I can email you back a word document with a how-to.

  • too cool amazing prop

  • what is the stroke and bore on your cylinders?

  • 2 inch stroke, you can use 3/4" to 1 1/16" bore cylinders but the larger one really makes it shake and is what I used.

  • @2104speed if there was any changes you would like to make to make the prop better what would it be? Going to try to make mine this weekend....Thanks Rick

  • what kind of controller are you using?

  • I used a picoboo, but you can also use a Prop 1 from EFK TEK, the programming is on their forum web site. Just search casa fear zombie.

  • where do you get your pneumatic parts from?

  • I get my cylinders from ebay and some of my fittings and the rest from Frightprops.

  • nice work! what psi do you use for the jerky action??--i love the animation!

  • I used about 40 psi.

  • what tells the 4 way valves to open and close? how do you power the valves? are they plugged into the wall or something? thanks for your time, awesome prop design. and did you hook the air up to a compressor or just a 5 gallon air tank?

  • You use a microcontroller, for this prop I used a Picaboo. The controller send an electrical pulse to turn on the valve or turns it off. I have a 4 gallon air compressor to power all my props.

  • did you use single acting pneaumatic cylinders or double acting? thank you for your time. awesome

  • Double.

  • How much did it cost?

  • About $180 (give or take).

  • One of the most impressive props I've seen. I love the action. I may have to attempt to build one of these for next year. Thank you....

  • Hey there casafear from the moment i saw this i said WOW but i have one question and i hope you can respond quickly!! So i do not know much about pneumatics but i have ordered all the parts new online and i have one question how do the 4 way 5 port valves work? do they just randomly open and close cylinders? i mean i understand how the picoboo works but just wondering about the valves// Thanks in advance you are the man!!!!

  • I am glad you like it. Valves work by allowing air to flow to the cylinders when powered or lack of power is applied. Frightprops has a good tutorial on it. Youtube won't let me post the link, so go to their web site, click on pnuematics (categories), then pnematic info, then solenoid valve info.

  • Casafear, thank for commenting on my Restomb, it brought me back to your prop. I saw this a month or so ago but thencould not remember where I had seen it. Great motion. An idea I am going to have to barrow. Oh, make sure you take a look at my Restomb Remix. I changed a few things up. I will be adding jaw movement next week! Happy Haunting! HH

  • Excellent prop! I want to start building right away. Could you provide me with more information regarding the solenoids. What product did you use? Are they 2 position with a single exhaust?

    Thanks!

  • I used a 5 port 4 way values. Specifically it was a clippard MME-41PES-W110.

  • where can i get the pneumatic cylinders??

  • evilusions has a kit for this prop.

    monsterguts

    frightprops

    clippard

  • can you give me the list of parts, i cant read it on the video?

  • 6' of 2x4 2 pneumatic cylinders 2 foot brackets 2 rod clevis 2 clevis mounting brackets 2 4-way solenoid valves 1 prop controller 6 3" hinges 12 carriage bolts (attaching cylinder) 10 flat phillips bolts (hinges) 2 hex bolts (shoulder) locking nuts/washers for all bolts drywall screws (elbow hinge, securing wrist hinge to plywood base) All bolts were 1/4 by 2" long picoBoo as the controller.
  • thanks

  • Excellent prop, great job. I can't wait to try this.

  • thats way simpler than I thought it would be nice howto.
