Japanese Lexus cars now contain high levels of Plutonium-238, 239 and 240 from Japan's nuclear disaster. This radiation will increase your incidence of cancer, infertility and sperm damage.
@blacuraRL i wouldn't nessicarily say the First Gen IS had "Cavalier" quality plastics....i mean come on....Cavalier and most GM's of that era had absolutely CRAPPY interior materials....even the Caddilacs.
The interior looks very economy carish, especially the door panels. Does it feel this way as well or are the materials higher quality than the hard plastics you find in cars like the Mazda 3 and Honda Civic?
@slimecrazy552 i wouldn't say it has an economy car Interior...when they designed the IS they made the interior styling quite abit diffrent than the other Lexus Vehicles at the time....from the Chronograph Cluster to the Metal Ball Shifter....even the Dash.....never been in an IS of first gen....but based on being in other Lexus Vehicles i would assume they wouldn't tarnish lexus's reputation by putting Trashy Materials in the cabin.
damn this IS300 has 160k miles and starts up like a champ. my 04 IS300 has 50k miles, this gives me confidence about my cars reliability should i keep it that long
Ahaah! IS300 ( probly ) stands for Inline Six 3L. Don't really know what the other zeros mean but think of it this way. The new Nissan z is a 370, with 3.7L. The previous model z was a 350, with 3.5L. Dem asians like tricking us lol
Good video saabkyle04!! Keep well friend publishes more cars of any year and when you turn the headlights please Bring it to see really good congratulations on your videos do so ...!! Adios.
@Bajaheat You can tell by the gloss of the paint that its recently painted. Its got 160k miles on it and u cant expect its paint 2 be scratchless like this. It doesnt even look faded.
@rforracing Dude, my 1998 Lincoln Continental has over 200,000 miles on it and has never been repainted, and it has the same gloss it had as when my grand-father first bought it. A little love and care is all it takes.
@rforracing we don't get many rust in the southern states, especially in 8 years :P Plus, it's just a video, and was probably garage kept. you can't just assume things from a video or a picture, the only way is to actually see the car in person.
LoL its called Garage-kept. And not parking next to scraggly looking cars and tight spaces, And not following too close to keep rocks from nicking the front bumper.
LoL its called garage-kept. And dont park next to scraggly looking cars in tight parking spaces. Oh and dont follow cars too closely so small rocks can't nick ur front bumper
@rforracing At first it seemed that way to me too, especially for 160k but the interior of the car is also very clean. My Grandpas 94 Toyota Corolla didn't start rusting till about 3 years ago and thats up here in Ontario Canada!
I like that choronomatic guage cluster with the IS! It looks awesome even for an older car. I think that's really high mileage for an 8-year old car...that's like 20,000 miles per year? I guess that's average.
I'm loving these short takes. At least most of them are on cars that you have done in-depth review on in the past, so it's not like we're missing much.
But about the IS... jeez. Has to be one of the most... er, arrogant? cars I have ever seen. Just look at all of it. Especially those gauges, and just the interior in general. Horrible!
@markkjay yeah dude that's my idea with these at least, a lot of people are fans of all these cars and it wouldn't make sense making 10 min videos on a bunch of repeat stuff ye know

Such cheap plastics used in the is300's interior. Take a look at the '06-present generation. It's like going from cavalier to 3 series :P
