The moon didn't come on the scene until the 4th day of creation, so how could it be a determining factor for the weekly shabbat when 3 days later it was the shabbat. I just want to add that we Muslims follow the lunar calendar, and we do watch the moon daily to determine the days of the month and also prayers' times. Also I'd like to add that the lunar year is 11 days shorter than the solar one, that why you see for instance that Ramadan seems to come in different times every year. Paying attention to the moon is a science. We've been thought how to do it for the last 1430 years. Salam.
i really appreciate this vid. i always knew that the crescent moon signified the beginning of a new month but i never knew the real science of how to mark the sabbaths & such. i approve of this vid. as a last note, this vid makes me realize that it's impossible to mark the sabbath by observing the 7 day sun-calendar. what i gather is that saturday doesn't necessarily mean that it's the sabbath. correct me if i'm mistaken. peace.

Therefore to revise the dates for the Middle Kingdom would require taking away the whole time allotted to the Second Intermediate period, being approx 230 years

Also, there are only 2 seasons in the hebrew scriptures. They r summer & winter: Gen 8:22; Ps 74:17; Zech 14:8. No such thing as spring or fall. that is man's reckoning not Yahowah's. The Hebrew word for evening is EREB which is complete darkness, not a mixture. How do we know this? b/c Yah embedded that thought into the raven. Just like the beginning of the daylight hours is the Hebrew word Boqer (morning). Hence, Ereb, beginning of darkness; choshek duration of darkness; Boqer, beginning of light; Yom the duration of the light! Yahowah used these terms to show us when a night n day BEGINS. Great video and good effort to explain the cycles of the moon. I just want to add that we Muslims follow the lunar calendar, and we do watch the moon daily to determine the days of the month and also prayers' times. Also I'd like to add that the lunar year is 11 days shorter than the solar one, that why you see for instance that Ramadan seems to come in different times every year. Paying attention to the moon is a science. We've been thought how to do it for the last 1430 years. Salam.

i really appreciate this vid. i always knew that the crescent moon signified the beginning of a new month but i never knew the real science of how to mark the sabbaths & such. i approve of this vid. as a last note, this vid makes me realize that it's impossible to mark the sabbath by observing the 7 day sun-calendar. what i gather is that saturday doesn't necessarily mean that it's the sabbath. correct me if i'm mistaken. peace.
