The veyron blows. It looks horrid and doesn't deserve all the respect it gets. It's too heavy. It's uninsurable. It's boring. I'd rather have a pagani zonda r. Or This ssc. Speed cannot come without beauty, or the soul is lost.

It is only to be expected a a over 2 million dollar race designed car be dominant on the track. I doubt that the ssc tautara could keep up on the track. But it was designed for speed moreso than track capability. Although it undoubtley has lots of potential.

Bu i'd be more comfortable in the gtr because i don't have to worry about some dumbass wrecking my 2 and a half million dollar bugatti. He couldn't afford to reapir it and there fore i'm screwed.
thats why a lot prefer a Bugatti Veyron than a GTR modified or a ssc tuatara or aero. Bugatti is a serious company whit a lot of back up, for people who want´s the best or nothing.

@Tj1056 okey we finali agree in something, yes the SS beat a GTR, you ignore the weight, but like all rookies is normal ignore a lot of thinks, the tires of the Veyron are Michelin Super Sport...yes a regular tire like in the GTR the only difference between these is the capacity to resist the hi speed, obvious the GTR can´t do more than 330 kph and the bugatti does. and of curse one day you will understand the cost of one second less in the track...but some day, not today or tomorrow.

@performancelosreyes exactly... the veyron is a luxary car... 200k gtr can destroy a veyron in 1 mile also just with the alpha 12 that gives it 1500hp... still only 2/10 the price of a veyron... you forget the gtr has a great suspension that gives it a perfectly great ride comfort (electronicly controled)... veyron is only 300lbs heavier then the gtr also bud... also top gear used a regular 2012 gtr, not a black edition or a V-Spec...
@Tj1056 the first time i jump in a Veyron reach 350 kph, for me inside happened in a blink, but the most important of all "the car felt so confident and stable"...i did n´t feel that in another car. The GTR is incredible and fast to, even sound the differential like in the Veyron...but never reach the quality of a Bugatti....yes we can modified a GTR in some thing awesome but not for last, not for much time. the veyron take off again, again, and again whit all power, for last, a lot of time.

@trashcanalive ..Not as of yet, as far as I am aware. Based on their long ongoing Tuatara testings, Shelby are very confident that the rocket on wheels will achieve the projected top speed of 275mph.
@halflife103 All we've seen so far is a full-scale design mock-up without glass windows, no interior and no engine. So it hasn't turned a wheel using its own power, that's what I meant.
I could produce a design using software and then tell the world it will have 2000bhp and do 300mph when it's eventually built. You see how cheap words are? SSC hasn't offered much more than words with the Tuatara. Put another way, I don't think there will ever be a production Tuatara.
