  • Anyway, i find that impressing, that people have the patience to bring other software on phones, for that its not made. My respect.

  • how can i get the music?can in my iphoe?

  • how do i turn my ipgone on now when i have idroid ?

  • Thats unbelieveable slow...

  • @Daemonarch2k6 iphone 2g's cpu is only a single core arm11 clocked at 412 mhz, and there isn't no hardware graphics acceleration. the graphics rendering is done by software (like the htc wildfire and other entry level android smartphone equipped with a 528 mhz cpu with no gpu) and relies on the cpu, and the ram is only 128 mb.

don' t be surprised of the slowness of this android port :)

  • Это не фейк у мя также

  • @348Dima can you post in English, please?

  • Android FTW

  • i am waiting for the new version !!! i hope it is comming out sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon xD

  • Nice now only if my Motorola bravo (a DROID) could run iphone

  • How did you get your iPhone to warp you back to a dining table in 1975? XD

  • ur little finger twingling is so fucking anoying!!!!

  • it's cool but it takes long to load

  • Anyway, I installed iDroid on my iPod touch. It is a shame that it runs slowly, and lacks the Android market by default. I can't wait to see Android running on the iPhone 4/iPad. That would be so BAMF; Having both Oses would be sweet.

  • do u get the android market?

  • The battery life sucks :(

When I installed iDroid on my iPod Touch the battery ran out after 2h or so.

  • How does it affect speed of the iPhone, will it become slugish?

  • Not that i want android but, it would own to have boot camp in iphone

  • lmao uses knopix kernal as bootup manager ftw

  • dual boot on an iphone haha I love it... I'd rather have wp7 and android 2.3 on a 4 inch super amoled screen with a 1.2 ghz processor and a LTE radio.

  • only time an iphone is worth anything!

  • if android 2.2 in ip4, that will be a perfect match.

  • does it work on iphone 4g?

  • crazy...i like that you have a dual boot phone...i would be kinda freakd out if i saw that lol..a tip!!!! the 3g and 3gS have differant A class cpus.. froyo wont work on 3gs at the current time!!! the a4 cpu halts the code

  • This work on My iPod 4G Dont download it fucks Up iPhone/iPod really your just breaking it dont Even bother Cause i had to pay another £455 for my iPhone 4 and £200 for the iPod 4g so You break them Go ahead break them but wont be so funny

./loadibec: error while loading shared libraries: libusb-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    anyhelp?

  • Does the idroid works on iPhone 3GS?

  • @BAOUZIZI nope.

  • I'm seriously considering this due to how badly iOS4 runs on my old 3G (I use an iPhone 4 now, but the 3G is a spare). Do you think Android runs BETTER than iOS 4.1 on 3G?

  • would this work for iPod touch 2g MC on iOS4

  • @KillaKidxX5342 Nope

  • @degrommeisterug :( didnt think so

  • @degrommeisterug yea it will

  • @Sha12333 No this doesn't works on a itouch 2g,3g

  • @degrommeisterug mine does work becouse im dev.

  • @KillaKidxX5342 From what I've heard, you need 2G or 3G iPhone (The first and second ones) or a 1G iPod Touch, and you need 3.1.3 firmware.

  • @KillaKidxX5342 yea it will goto iphodroid. com witout space an download

  • watch my vid for a real droid in iphone

  • @outsider497 I have a Nexus One, too

  • @mchinni @outsider497: haha owned :D

  • @outsider497 Why not have both? This is perfect for developers like me, who can now build & test apps for BOTH phones, instead of having to buy 2

  • @JBudOner Yep you are exactly right.

  • @outsider497 noobs just don't understand...

  • @outsider497

Depends if you dual boot both os's imagine having the ability to have EVERY app on the market :P great for app junky's like me

  • @outsider497 Depends how you use it. If your not one for apps then its a waste, but if you want every app on the market it rocks

  • @outsider497 it's a demonstration that you can modify and do all with a device as cool as iPhone (jailbroken)

  • @outsider497 or im stuck with an iphone and want android, or in my case stuck with an itouch.

  • @outsider497

Android is better than IOS. much much much better.

  • @BKsMassive No it isn't

  • @outsider497 Why have two different phones, when you can have all the two software on one....

  • @Makaveli3rd Because iPhone's crappy hardware cannot support Android OS properly. You can *emulate* Android on iOS, but it take years to boot up Android and lot's of Android core features & functions will not work. Lots of iPhone owner & Apple fanboys get it twisted:

iPhone owner - Your Android phone sucks. My iPhone can dual boot iOS & Android but your Android phone can't do the same.

Android owner - Sure it can, but does the shit work properly? 2nd, booting iOS on Android is like downgrading.

  • @6ixtynin9

Oh please , only a retard would blame the iphone hardware for this , there are android phones less powerful than that.

This is all a driver issue , if people had the interest to code specific parts of the iphone (like the GPU for instance) to work with android then it would run just fine.

  • @6ixtynin9

No. . . The iPhone has the same, if not better hardware than most android phones. iPhones and Android Phones both have 1GHZ CPUS (though there are a few androids with 600 MHZ CPUs), and the iPhone has an SGX 535, while other Android phones have lower SGX GPUs or even SGX lites. I can only think of two Android phones that have GPUs that are as fast as the GPUs on the iPhones. The hardware is very similar. I don't know where you get your "iPhone has crappy hardware" BS.

  • @6ixtynin9

Next, neither Android is better than iOS. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. iOS has easier usability, a lot more apps, and lacks fragmentation/compatibility issues. Android has a lot more customization features, more unique features per phone, and better support for internet plugins.

I don't see why android owners are so pissed at the iPhone, and I don't see why iPhone owners hate android. They are both good phone OSes in their own right. Just fucking leave it at that

  • @outsider497 I agree! It's also cheaper by the way

  • @outsider497 It's just a hobby to run around dual booting stuff, most Linux users refer to it as distro hopping, don't be mean on those who get android working on a calculator, it's all for the lols :D

  • @outsider497 iPhone is the superior hardware, Android is the superior software.

  • how can i get any gsm on adroid

  • oh please!... I guess gayphone would like to be anywhere close to being ANDROID!

  • r u in italy ? lol i saw the alice network

  • @MLETO4896 Yes I am

  • Linux manages to find its way onto everything.

  • @Northcoda i love Linux it is awesome

  • @Northcoda

Thats because Linux is an open source OS. Anyone can write it, make drivers for it, make applications on it, etc. Linux is one of the best (if not best) OS's out there.

  • If the "turn off" button is "back" and the square is "menu", how to turn it off?

  • @mikesmikeisscool It's an iPhone 2G , are u blind?

  • that is so weird. but it works faster and more smooth on a actual android phone. a phone that was designed for the android. its less sticky.

  • Does it support Flash now??

  • @Mchinni

I did all of this and now my iphone wont turn on. I think that the linux thing when i was doing the android boot, it might have messed up the boot loaders. But now it wont turn on, anything i can do?

  • @shatteredshit Sorry to hear that. But now your id justifies your action:)

  • can this work on iPhone 3Gs?

  • @shreyash2005 I don't think so.

  • Comment removed

  • So there is no app store?

  • @ThePCTutorialWorld @Warrior59 states that you can install it.

  • @mchinni

i really really really want this on my 3GS and it to work 100% with camera, wifi etc. and even update to latest version! if all these work, it's like having a completely new phone!

  • @ThePCTutorialWorld

    You have to install that

  • @ThePCTutorialWorld

    Btw,

This is the same as on Jailbreak :D

  • @ThePCTutorialWorld im pretty sure u can dowload android apps throuugh teh browser

  • evry time i try to do this my iphone wont be recognized as in dfu mode even though its clearly in it already. the last time my boot scripts got fucked up and put my iphone in an endless dfu mode. had to use a recovery tool i found.

    btw the link is blank

  • @Aaronr9555 it should be in RECOVERY MODE not in DFU ;)

  • @Aaronr9555 it should be in RECOVERY MODE not DFU

  • how do you install that "Open iBoot" install on you iphone?

iphone 3g btw. message me please & thankyou

  • @joe11fresh I used an old 2G iPhone, but the wiki states "3G iPhones are supported". I managed to install Open iBoot following the idroidproject wiki pages.

  • Hey do you know how to restart/shutdown the phone? I have to wait for the battery to die

  • @Sharukh007 You can keep pressed "power" and "home" buttons for a while to force a shutdown. I found this as the only way.

  • There is no market place, but you can download app APKs and install them that way.

  • @Warrior59 Thank you, good hint.

  • @mchinni Can You Tell Me How to install it on My iPhone and iPod Touch ?

  • can you use the android market?

  • @TheMizzoufan247 It's not intalled. I think that Market is a proprietary app from Google and cannot be redistribuited.

  • I would like to know....does this work with iphone 3gs and ipod touch 3g 32gb? Please answer...if so i want to try this

  • @iHelpDummies I think it's not yet possible

  • i tryed this like 100 times but what firmware are you using for the iphone 2g android os works i just cant use touch function

  • @alucio20 I took the firmware from marvel site as stated in the idroidproject guide

  • do u still have to use iTunes to Sync your music to the phone? can u get another link to download android, because this doesn't work... it says "There is currently no text in this page, you can search for this page title in other pages or edit this page." that's all u can find there.

  • @mvp8402 The sync is not yet possible due to the lack of a SD card reader on the iPhone.

  • does this support flash?

  • @fortuloco55 not yet

  • how to i transfer the iDroid pics to the 'var' file PLZZ HELP ASAP

  • @ninjadudevideos sorry I can't help you

  • the links have no info on either of them

  • how do i put the patches in android. right now i have android and its useless . thanks

  • Or you can save yourself a lot of trouble and a ton of money and just get an Android phone to begin with. You could always use your iPhone as a paperweight or a door stopper.

  • can it work with iphone 3gs i am planning to get it

  • @ongchorcool not yet. wait for a port to the 3G and the wait for a reversal of the CPU and GPU ( if necessary ) and the OpeniBoot might come to the 3GS.

  • Download iPhone 4.0 here - iPhone4Beta net

  • is it very hot after install it?

  • oh receiving/ sending SMS is working now, text appear in the notification bar

  • does the task bar scroll down?

  • @9qwer1 yea, it does

  • Dude, I've done it too, but does your iDroid can call, play music or even lock the screen ? Just wanna know because on the original vid. , almost every things works not like mine. ^^'

  • @paorpo No... The project seems to be at an alpha stage.

  • @mchinni i can make + receive calls, browse wifi, sms + playing music doesn't work because it is looking for external sd card, will soon be supported.. the battery dies really quickly and the iphone gets a little hot, so at the moment it needs more work, really impressive for alpha release tho, hopefully cyanogenmod + 3gs support soon

  • @EchelonWeb me too

  • @paorpo calling is still a pain in the ass as it rejects calls if the screen is locked, it can lock the screen, and playing music requires and SD car image which can be a pain if you dont know what you're doing

  • dude i don't know if they are fucking trying to take this project down but the link said no text

  • @ipodpunker you're right...

  • @ipodpunker if you search Installing iDroid, in the main page you'll find the right howto.

  • nice
