It is no longer about investing...it is about protecting what you have left. Silver and it looks like copper is coming up are cheaper of course, but once again, a way to protect what you have rather than investing. If it's about investment, then no, it's not the deal to do. But to protect the dollar you have it is then worth it, provided Celente (among others) are correct. But that would be up to the individual at this point.

i have read about china and russia switching to their own currencies for bilateral trade. celente most likely knows more than myself. i have never stated that i am an economist or any kind. i have stated that celente is selling fear to sell gold and that he works for goldline. buying gold is fine in my opinion. creating a false stampede to buy gold has cased prices to increase too rapidly and put a possible bubble in motion. celente never mentions this.

Printing money does generate inflation, and therefore promoting gold as a safe investment is not a shameful thing to do. The economy is not based on human spirit, but rather on capital, infrastructures and labor.

they are infusing the idea of buying gold into predictions of fear. lets imagine pepsi bought ad space on fox. now imagine beck bringing on trend analysts and holding dialogue to create a fear that we are running out of water. during dialogue they discuss the only fluid to buy is pepsi because it is safely in cans not like water that just sits vulnerably in pools of rock. the fear discussion of no water on fox news is a different sell than a standard pepsi commercial.

celente is predicting trends. cool. many analysts have predicted the same trends. celente is not special. he is co-opting other analyst predictions. which is still fine. where celente shifts to beck/fox scum status is when he infuses fearful situations into those trends. still though.. he does not cross the line completely until he tells you the ONLY safe place during his prediction of armageddon is gold. there is a major bubble and gold scams going on. research it.

i have never watched anime enough to get reference. did my post give you goose bumps or something? what are you suggesting is at work then? do u feel gold, dollar and home values are related? can we agree property value is defined by the perceived value of the neighborhood? gold is a bet against all currency.. if the dollar is perceived as weak more people will be convinced to bet on gold, thus driving the value up. and perhaps this can be done by promoting fear?? celente knows.
However, perception is the product of a complex mathematical equasion our brain calculates based on information we take in and our own inherent emotions. It's not something we can all hold hands and sing kumbaya over to change.
The perception of paper currency as having value is fast wearing thin. It will do so long before the yellow metal.

It is no longer about investing...it is about protecting what you have left. Silver and it looks like copper is coming up are cheaper of course, but once again, a way to protect what you have rather than investing. If it's about investment, then no, it's not the deal to do. But to protect the dollar you have it is then worth it, provided Celente (among others) are correct. But that would be up to the individual at this point.

We are in the credit crunch and the only reason the dollar hasn't crashed yet is because the fed keeps printing/throwing money at jp Morgan so they can stay in business and manipulate the silver market. It won't last forever google: Russia and china quit dollar.

i have read about china and russia switching to their own currencies for bilateral trade. celente most likely knows more than myself. i have never stated that i am an economist or any kind. i have stated that celente is selling fear to sell gold and that he works for goldline. buying gold is fine in my opinion. creating a false stampede to buy gold has cased prices to increase too rapidly and put a possible bubble in motion. celente never mentions this.

I think the biggest point here and missed by some is that Celente isn't talking about investing in gold in the old fashioned way but rather to hedge yourself against the coming collapse when dollars are worth less or perhaps zero.
Celente has also mentioned survival gardening and guns. The smart ones will heed that advise.

There is a solution. Stop playing the political games and start thinking about whats gonna best benefit you in a long scheme. No more 4-8 year solutions. Turn off your tv and hang out with neighbors. Start building strong community connections. Empower the youth by giving them solid direction in life, not economically but morally. The government didn't get us out of the first great depression, we did. We have to rebuild society, that is what the real problems are. There is no gov't solution.

Gerald doesn't just rant on about negatives. He's a trend forecaster and has been predicting what is happening. He speaks of the qualities of American spirit and how we are not confined in a cultural grasp like Europe which has allowed them to manipulated for 1000's of years. It wasn't until foreign policies came into play that has influenced our demise. We need to stick to our roots and just be Americans. The ideas that big brother is going to save us in nonsense only we can save us. Unity.

Although things aren't AS BAD as Gerald predicted, the steady decline continues. Some people on here dismiss all of this as nonsense, but I'd like for many of you to keep an open mind.
I think there will be a financial collapse because the powers that be seem to want a cashless society where all financial exchanges will be electronic like Paypal.
Such a future would cut down on crime and drug use, but at the same time we'd be slaves to the system.

@boscoesarmy a dollar was once 1.5 grams or 22.23 grains of gold it was a measurement in weight, and we have been tricked into thinking that paper has value,when it was to be used as a receipt from a bank and that the real money (gold) was in the bank of the account holder. In 33' the people's gold was confiscated HJR 192 Roosevelt's banking holiday for the bankrupt US and to pay off loans to the Rothchild's at the Geneva convention of 33'. Research man!

Printing money does generate inflation, and therefore promoting gold as a safe investment is not a shameful thing to do. The economy is not based on human spirit, but rather on capital, infrastructures and labor.

But its not like Beck or Mark Levin would not be showing concerns about the dollar if it werent for goldline. They were already talking about fears of a dollar collapse before goldline started advertising on their shows, in fact, its the fact that they were expressing concerns about it that lead goldline to advertise there, not the other way around. I do see an ethical problem in that...

they are infusing the idea of buying gold into predictions of fear. lets imagine pepsi bought ad space on fox. now imagine beck bringing on trend analysts and holding dialogue to create a fear that we are running out of water. during dialogue they discuss the only fluid to buy is pepsi because it is safely in cans not like water that just sits vulnerably in pools of rock. the fear discussion of no water on fox news is a different sell than a standard pepsi commercial.

celente is predicting trends. cool. many analysts have predicted the same trends. celente is not special. he is co-opting other analyst predictions. which is still fine. where celente shifts to beck/fox scum status is when he infuses fearful situations into those trends. still though.. he does not cross the line completely until he tells you the ONLY safe place during his prediction of armageddon is gold. there is a major bubble and gold scams going on. research it.

gold prices have been rapidly increasing.
Those who bought gold at $1,100 and $1,200 an ounce may see the gold price adjust back down to something like $800 or $900. If these investors lose 30 percent of their savings of portfolio, the gold bubble will burst. this video is selling fear to sell gold. that is all.
if celente had his pulse on economic catastrophe he should see have mentioned gold as another fragile investment.

i have never watched anime enough to get reference. did my post give you goose bumps or something? what are you suggesting is at work then? do u feel gold, dollar and home values are related? can we agree property value is defined by the perceived value of the neighborhood? gold is a bet against all currency.. if the dollar is perceived as weak more people will be convinced to bet on gold, thus driving the value up. and perhaps this can be done by promoting fear?? celente knows.

Yes, value is based on perception.
However, perception is the product of a complex mathematical equasion our brain calculates based on information we take in and our own inherent emotions. It's not something we can all hold hands and sing kumbaya over to change.
The perception of paper currency as having value is fast wearing thin. It will do so long before the yellow metal.
Also, I for one would love to see $800-900 gold again. Same with <$10 silver :D
