  • mcdonalds produce their own food, its self sufficient..

  • he talks to damn fast

  • This man is an inspiration to me. It's good to find a role model I can respect. :)

  • back again guys!!! mac" the shit fighter" danzig just got dominated by Matt" the meat eater" Wiman AGAIN! :D :D ;D

  • @aussie66monster lol, shit fighter, he would destroy you in 30 seconds. The internet, where cowards can act tough. Actually they both got fight of the night bonuses of $75k for a competitive/good match. The scorecards had it 2 rounds to 1. This is after Matt dominate Cole Miller and had Dennis Siver who was ranked 10-15 a bloody mess. Matt is no joke, near top 10 in a stacked division. Mac has lost a bit but to top fighters like Miller and Guida. Did u see Matts shorts MeetYourMeat dotcom lol

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot he lost! unanimous sherdog is saying he got dominated, beat up sherdog.com/news/articles/The-Turning-Point-Wiman-vs-Danzig-36114 also he is no way near top 10 lmfao!

  • @aussie66monster its only a matter of time before dana cuts him :)

  • @aussie66monster lol, you are a loser, get a life. He would cut you up with his elbows and fists so easily, its a sport anyways so get over it. Either way most enjoyed it, "It was the type of contest most easily described in clichés, an “all-out war” (or a “good, old-fashioned scrap,” if you prefer) where “both men left it all inside the cage.” It was also the type of fight where, at the final bell, one would “hate to be a judge right now,” the kind where “it’s a shame one guy has to lose.”

  • The picture in the article is not even of Danzig, its a file photo.

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot i need the life?? HAHAHA!! your the one spreading vegan propaganda everyday! you take comments i made about him personal! its more then just a sport to you moron every would you say makes you look like a fool!

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot he will never be in the top ten that's why he lost to wiman, again, he is 31 years old UFC will cut him soon which im looking forward to seeing.

  • @aussie66monster lier, surprise animal abusers lack morals, dont know what fight you saw? I read the article...it says is was a very competitive fight. "Danzig outlanded Wiman 79-48 in total strikes through the first five minutes", "Wiman and Danzig each landed a fair number of blows over the course of their 15-minute encounter, but it was the style of each man’s striking that may have made the difference" "As Danzig moved from top position onto Wiman’s back, the fight seemed close to finished"

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot lmfao! did you just call me an animal abusers! lol this is why everyone hates you vegan cocksuckers, you think anyone who eats meat is an animal abuser! lol well go call jon jones, frankie edgar, anderson silva, jose aldo, dominick cruz animal abusers then moron

lol you said to me "The internet, where cowards can act tough" because i talked down danzig, but that's the same thing you did to Donald Cerrone hahahaha!!! HYPOCRITE.

  • @aussie66monster I never called anyone or donald a "shit fighter", they all could beat me, I dont train every day or week like them for my job. However, I could go around beating many common people, doesnt make it right. I dont have a problem calling anyones actions animal abuse. I give out about 100,000 of booklets a yr while living in Texas and now in NY and say stop animal abuse. Anyways, you are not worth my time.

  • BTW, thanks for hyping up the stats on the video. You go kill some sheep or whatever you do now tough guy and great person you..

  • That vegan diet sure didn't do him any favors in his last two UFC fight.

  • the bad meat eater Ellenberger just TKOd this wank in the the 1st round in 58 seconds hahaha trollololol.

  • RIP Jack Shields! I am very sad for you and your families loss bro! We just talked the other day on FB about how you use your voice to be a amazing rolemodel for in health+morals (raised a life long vegetarian, promote for animals-such as your peta2 video), This makes sports seem small. Anyways, my thoughts are with your family. It was obvious he was proud of you and his family, he's great guy RIP Jack Shields :(*

  • to bad shields just of dominated my GSP, GSP was toying with him all night and shields looked scared shitless!! totally out classed him, i guess vegetarian boy cant hang with athletic ability of the big bad meat eater GSP LOL.

  • @aussie66monster ield

If you think that's why GSP won...wow.

haha GSP has beaten PLENTY of meat eaters, what can you say about them? Or what about Jake Shields beating up PLENTY of meat eaters? Don't be ignorant, GSP won because he was the better fighter, has nothing to do with diet...

  • @Ballack91 you must be slow, must be that lack of meat :). it was pretty obvious i was just stirring the pot.

his athletic ability is governed by his diet, not all meat eaters have the same diet.

  • jake i love you but i i like jason alot better

  • gsp is going to wreck this guy

  • I am a big Jake Shields fan (from his grappling, jj, wrestling skills to his healthy and ethical lifestyle as a vegetarian-my fit father nearly died of a heart attack, had horrible triple bypass surgery due to the lies that we need more cooked flesh and crap and also respect animals torture in factory farms) and hope the best for him. If he is on GSP will have his hand full and I think Jake can catch him as he has done so many times. Jake is all skill and effort. All the pressure is on gsp

  • Great channel. I subscribed! :)

  • Frank Mir is a Vegetarian, mostly vegan too! Fitch, Diaz, Mike Tyson, Aaron Simpson, Ben Saunders and many more including Jake Shields and Mac Danzig.

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot Diaz eats seafood and Jake drinks whatever whey based supplement his sponsor gives him. I heard both of them say this. Last time I checked seafood was not on the vegetarian diet and whey was on on the vegan diet.

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot Frank Mir is now on the Paleo Diet. At least he wized up.

  • @sclaysdharma Thats interesting and not bad that Frank has given that a try. MMA has alot of diversity and them willing to try new diets is good. Jake is a Vegan now, I am sure he gets free vegan foods from sponsors. Jake has said that Nick (unsure about Nate) is a stricter vegan than him and more hardcore about health and fitness - marathons/triathlons and all.

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot Hmm, I know Nick said he ate seafood during the Cyborg Santos prefight interview and its posted here, but I'm not sure how old the video of Shields is where he talks about using his sponsor's products. And I don't really think his sponsors make any vegan supplements or shakes.

  • @thedragon44 read the book skinny basturd it will tell you about all the stuff you need to know its kinda fufu and shit but tell you how bad meat and dariy and all kinds of health thing thats cause cancer and watch jinfitches videos on nutriton

KO of Joe Stevenson not a lucky wild swing with eyes closed like Donalds teammate Garcia lol, but very calculated. Cowboys competition in the wec was weak and most have already been cut, compared to Guida, Miller, Joe who Danzig faced!

  • Guys I'm in getting my body in shape but I think i just need protien can i ask wat king of veges thats promotes protein that i need and a little carbs cause im building my body I to be vegetarian but i dont know what fruit and veges promotes high protien

  • @thedragon44 hey bro, some of the best proteins are vegan - beans, peanuts (peanut butter, all natural even healthier), tofu (one of the best proteins in the world), soy (milk, cheese, dairy), vegan meats and many other products. I do want to say that most people get too much protein and thats not the healthiest either, I think protein is way over-rated. VeganBodyBuilding (dot) com, VeganHealth (dot) org - lists all in details, Myspace VegetarianVeganParadise i hope it helps, stick with!

  • Oh, now I have an answer as to why Jake Shields can never finish a fight.

  • @RebelWrestler45 Never finish a fight?

You have a short memory, yes his last few great opponents were not finished. Recall Lawler R1, Daley R2, Thompson R1, Pyle R2...it also hurts him that SF didnt allow elbows on the ground, Hendo, Daley, Miller would have been a bloody mess or have reacted into a submission if they were allowed. Regardless I credit his opponents too, many quality fighters lately in his 25 win streak and stepping up to MW, he is far better than such tough computer critics

  • @animalabusinglosers7 Jake throws elbows just like he throws punches; finishing cans and subbing strikers with no ground game is the status quo for any lay and pray specialist. Look, I realize that Jake would kick the shit out of me if I fought him, but as a competitor myself, I do have enough experience to call out a staller when I see one.

  • I'm a die hard vegetarian. i can't touch meat. there is no point in killing innocent animals for food. its very cruel. i want to ask something to those who eat meat. what would happen if you were killed for another animal's food? wouldn't it be nice that way? and what if the animal who will eat you will keep you in darkness, and locked up with absolutely no mercy? this crap about eating animals should stop! its ridiculously barbaric!

  • @kiddish10 There is no such thing as an innocent animal, as an animal is not capable of morality. Killing animals for food is a natural status quo; it regulates populations, and provides the necessary sustenance for omnivores such as humans. I won't be killed for another animal's food because I am at the zenith of the food chain; hypotheticals make for bad ethics.

  • @RebelWrestler45 animals are innocent. maybe not to you. because you're so blind and selfish. your greediness for meat makes you blind. re-think again man, and you might one day become healthy vegetarian. your arguments are totally based on your inner greediness and cruelty hehe. anyway, do what you think is right for you. i'm nobody to tell you what to do, so... if one day you feel what is happening is wrong, and you see it with your own eyes, you might change, you never know.

  • @kiddish10 Mike Tyson is Vegan too as Mac Danzig who just had a nice KO!

  • @animalabusinglosers7 thumbs up for him :)

  • @animalabusinglosers7 Tyson was not a vegan when he was actually fighting, on top of the HW division.

  • RESPECT! VEG WARRIOR!

  • UFC title shot, likely GSP vs Shields!

  • Jake Shields a life long Vegetarian and top 10 ranked pound 4 pound MMA fighter in the world (of 1000's of great athletes, strikeforce mw champion, elite xc ww champ and many more titles) is fighting this saturday UFC ppv. • very inspiring. thanks.

  • I've tried going vegetarian buts very difficult. Although I've heavily cut down on meat and eat chicken breast about 3x a week. It sucks how we treat animals and I hope things will change. Btw PETA are hypocrites.

  • @steveshort4steven

vegans and vegetarians are hypocrites too. Whenever they say all that hippie garbage about hurting animals they completely ignore the fact they eat plants, which were once living things too. And recent studies have proven they can even feel pain. But i digress...

  • @fromstart2finish Yeah I've heard plants feel pain to when they're cut from their root/vine but i don't know if that's entirely true. I say PETA are hypocrites because they euthanize a good portion of the animals they attempt to help. No Joke. Research it.

  • @steveshort4stevenIts great that you are concerned about a group of people and not the treatment of animals as you should. It takes more plants to make meat, since thats is what the animals are inefficiently fed, part of the reason it increases world hunger, wastes resources/environment. Dogs and farm mammals as us also have a central nervious system, eyes, hearts, brains. Most shelters/vets put pets down due to ppl not adopting+puppy mills to blame, ave veg saves 1000s more tho. Next excuse

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot Believe me I agree with you. If I didn't I'd probably say something like go fuck yourself or do us all a favor and die but you make great points. And I'm not concerned only with PETA, I was simply replying to someone who had messaged me earlier regarding them. I wish this whole topic was as black and white as you think it might be but unfortunately it's not. I make no excuses either. I enjoy eating meat.

  • @steveshort4steven thats cool, I once did as well so can understand consuming what you enjoy, thats the most honest reason. If its too much to kick the habit, I suggest for yourself and them to seek out true free range from small family farms, raise them yourself or hunt and possibly cutting back and giving some other foods a try.

  • @fromstart2finish It takes more plants to make meat, since thats is what the animals are inefficiently fed, part of the reason it increases world hunger, wastes resources/environment. Dogs and farm mammals as us also have a central nervious system, eyes, hearts, brains. Next excuse to justify factory farming and unnessary animal abuses?

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot

Im noy justifying factory farming, in fact i prefer a different method than what normally done to prepare my food. Im just saying its impossible to live without killing or harming other living things in some way. For example People may think that just eating vegetables wont kill any animals, but when farmers harvest their crops many animals are killed in that process or left to starve.

  • @fromstart2finish that is logical and reasonable. While any action has some consequences or potential suffering I think we should act upon those that cause the least amount and especially prolonged suffering. As you stated, factory farms are sick and unsanitary for us, I know some hunters who will not buy store meat. Sounds like you are informed unlike most.

  • Mac Danzig UFC TUF Winner is vegan, Prince Fielder big home run derby winner is veg as NFL probowl stars Tony Gonzalez, Rickey Williams and Desmond Howard, NBA Stars Robert Parish, Jerry Stackhouse, Salim many Triathalon and Olympians including 8X Gold Carl Lewis, Weight Lifting Champ Stan Price and many more body builders, doctors and dieticians.

  • his ear is fucked.

  • @dafuksup lol true, but lots of fighters have the califlower ears from all the contact between grappling and striking. It may have been shortly after a fight since it normally does not look that bad.

  • Never knew he was a vegetarian. I've become a vegetarian recently but It's hard to go Vegan. I agree that it's messed up what they do to animals for our own benefit but I also don't like what PETA has done they're hypocrites. I've only stopped eating meat for 3 weeks now but I've already noticed I'm a lot more calm my blood pressure seems to be lower already I feel a lot better. I already train myself but just eating Nuts, Veggies, Fruits, Rice, Pasta, Legumes, Grains has done heaps.

  • @Passenger87 I've been raw fruitarian a few months now (I've actually lost count) and my resting heart rate is consistently 47 BPM. Isn't that wild? But I was told that's what would happen because the organs of my body would become less stressed. Well apparently that's true.

  • My hero! Thanks for that.

  • check out my health channel! :)

  • Jake Shields has been in the Top 10 since 2004, while remaining unbeaten and winning 4 Championships in 2 weight classes.

  • Jake has the advantage, as a Vegetarian we have healthier diets which some fighters claims helps recovery, stamina and such. Hendo just beat bisping and was ranked high, he is still great, Jake is just really good, just ranked top 3 MW in the world and 7th overall in the entire world!

  • Dumb! I hunt and kill to survive. Shit ill cut up Jake Shields and make one hell of a mean out of him.

  • @DooDooSmooch for your sake I hope that you are like 16 and not double that as it says on your page. If so you should to grow up. You obviously do not have a logical point and are a waste of time.

  • @DooDooSmooch btw who are you calling dirty, you put rotting hormone infested corpses down your thoat and the fatty decayed flesh lining your colon, intestines and arteries. That is dirty. You are not just disrespecting animals but yourself fool.

  • Go Jake! Great win the other night for him.

And he's right. I can personally bench more than almost every meat eater I personally know, and my lifestyle doesn't promote cruelty to animals, environmental destruction or heart disease! Pledge to go veg in 2010!

  • I've been mainly vegan (some whey protein and some cheese) for twenty years. It has done wonders for my health and fighting performance. I highly recommend it: just be sure to get plenty of protein.

  • @BurtonRichardson hey buddy, thats awesome, 10 years here veg and vegan. Although I think protein is way over rated, most get too much and its not good or is pooped out. VeganHealth (dot) org Dietician and VeganBodyBuilding (dot) com are some good sites.

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot Thank you!! YES protein is way over rated!!

just posted it on my Facebook, thank you!! (vegan here)

  • As far as athletic competition is concerned being superior to the average does not make it impressive. There are individuals eating raw foods that include raw animal products that would mop the floor in the physique and conditioning department with Jake Sheilds. However some of these diets that include raw meat, along with raw veggie juices would never be condoned by most doctors.

I agree about livestock being raised like living things and not like products.

  • @redeyeddawn I can definetly agree with the treatmen and lack of respect, but the shear quantity of animals used makes factory farming more profitable. For the rest, check out this video link with lots of veg athletes from olympians to football and basketball stars to body builder and triathletes or ironmen youtube (dot) com/watch?v=nIcSuA2b_Wc

  • @StoptheSlaughtering

I have no doubt that being a vegetarian would help tremendously for an olympian in comparison to an even somewhat average american diet. But from my own research I could see every aspect of competition going up a notch if raw diets were looked at differently. I should have specified. Compared to an even somewhat average American diet the best vegetarian diets should have more benefits, but the healthiest diets for most seem to include high quality animal products.

  • mixedmartialartvideos (dot) com for his and mac danzigs fights, his win over henderson should be on utube since it was on cbs free tv.

  • Search vegetarian athletes or body builders videos. All natural athletes, many other top notch ones, look up some factory farm videos too, my father had heart disease and nearly died, had horrible triple bypass surgery despite being toned and fit. The Military even has veggie mres, i was in the peace corps and air force pilot though. myspot vegetarianveganparadise

  • Wow, Jake Shields beats I mean dominated a legend in Dan Henderson tonight, what a comeback. Jake has more heart than any ignorant disrepsectful critical computer tough boys. Maybe now UFC GSP bound and Jake should get a good contract that he deserves. This Strikeforce middleweight champion brazenly moved up in weight and is one of the best in the world. He dominated and imposed his will. The life long Vegetarian killing myths.

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot That legend is 40 years old, way past his prime, had sucky cardio, and ass raped Jake in the first round. I've never seen a fight in MMA history where a fighter had his opponent mounted for so long, but wasn't even close to finishing the fight. As for Jake's success in the UFC? Split decision over Kampmann? that ain't contender material.

  • @RebelWrestler45 Hendo just KO'ed Babalu and perviously beat Bisping at top 10-15 ranked MW fighter and was in line to fight Silva again, who he had in some trouble. He also beat Lawler who is in the top 10 a MW and just had a big KO win too. He beat Okami who is fighting Anderson Silva for the title now. Kampmann is no chump, he beat Condit recently who some thought should get the next title shot. Shields also beat Condit in the past.

  • @RebelWrestler45

Anyways, he is a great fighter (better than most as us, could ever be) ranked in the top 10 p4p for a reason. This is about ethics and health though. Look up Vegetarian or Vegan Athletes for hundreds of fighters, natural body builders, olympians and athletes as well as factory farm sick videos if interested

  • Professional athletes have money to take enough supplements to make up for the deficiencies of refraining from meat.

What if I only eat meat that I've hunted? Deer get to live 3 years running around and then I use every part of em. Does that count as ethical treatment?

  • @Deej1188 Jake has been veg for life and grew up fairly poor. I do think hunting is better than factory farms and understand for some, but very few do it for survial, if that is the case then I personally dont have a big issue but I think you would agree with the rest, myspot vegetarianveganparadise many vidoes on all issues.

  • @Deej1188 I am very fit and take no supplements. Everyone should take a multivitamin, omega 3's or flaxseed oil is the only thing I go out of the way to get. We are much healthier with little effort.

  • @Deej1188 proof my page and pics myspot vegetarianveganparadise

  • @Deej1188 Meat does not have a monopoly on proper nutrients. As muscle and not food, meat has too much fat and protein, not enough minerals, and no C and P.

  • .......... and I don't take supplements. I realized I don' need to (in my studying of raw, natural food). I'm.....

    raw - 2 years

    high-fruit vegan - 16 years

  • @Gary1111001 Of course not. Most Vegans and vegetarians know 5x more about nutrition than avg meat eating joes. I'm just saying that if I hunt deer and foul and buy almost exclusively free range organic meat, isn't it more humane and sustainable? Meat may not have a monopoly on nutrients, but it does have a monopoly on deliciousness. This is my family's reaction to inhumane treatment of animals and poor nutritional value of factory meat.

  • @Deej1188 I agree, hunting is the least harmful way to get meat. I've heard mixed things about free-range.

But my reply referred to you saying "make up for the deficiencies of refraining from meat" That suggest a veg needs to supplement. But you can get enough vitamins from fruit and veg. The fat and high-protein shouldn't be made up for.

  • @Gary1111001 ah. Yeah. Nothing against vegetarians. I just think that a guy like Jake Shields must be taking some kind of vegetarian certified supplements in order to stay at the peak of his game. To fight at 170 and then at 185 hes got to have some crazy nutritionist or dietitian to help him fluctuate without the availability of meat.

I just have stupid friends who suddenly change their diets for a certain reason and end up having a deficiency of something.

  • @Deej1188 Were these deficiencies shown in a blood test? I ask because most people in the US and Europe have many deficiencies - it goes un-noticed. On the other hand, 95% of health issues are not from deficiency, but excess.

  • @Gary1111001 ..... and every pro-athlete (including meat-eaters) takes B-12, and often other sups.

  • @Gary1111001 Most of my friends are morons when it comes to nutrition. I don't remember exactly what kind of supplements their doctors told them to take after they switched o vegetarianism (and then back 3 months later). I do remember that one had low iron levels.

I agree that minor deficiencies are way better than have heart disease.

  • @Deej1188 check out VeganHealth (dot) org its from a dietician and breaks everything down, its easy with a well rounded diet to get everything without all the crap in flesh. Many more veg athletes you can look up videos on that and factory farming please.

  • @Deej1188 You have to be smart if you are a veggie or eat meat, it took Shields almost a year to "get close to being a real middleweight, eating lots of small meals and doing a lot of lifting and conditioning " He fought his first 2 MW fights as a big WW.

  • @oakmantex So that's a no on the supplements?

  • Comment removed

  • @tanglestrangle I see. And those supplements are very well within the guidelines of a Vegan diet so it's fine.

  • He's an awkward ass fighter.

  • Ugh. Jake Shields is such a boring fighter. More than half of his wins are via decision.

  • @StationaryTransient I dont think his first goal is to entertain us in a serious fight. I do appreciate his heart, the grappling and bjj which he dominated in, he tried chokes and arm bars, but hendo is just tough as most at this level. Of course he did not want to take stupid risks either, because ppl like you would not help his retirement or whatever. He is a smart solid fighter and one of the best at it.

  • It isn't his first goal to entertain us in a serious fight? Then why is he fighting on TV for money? You know, in other fighting organizations you get your pay deducted for being boring. Jake is lucky no American orgs do this.

I can easily admit that he's a solid fighter. I can also easily admit that he's one of the most boring. You should be able to as well.
