@jdracer212 No in japan they came out with Q's that were non turbo and K's that did have turbo. It's not a stupid question cause most people never heard of Q's, you say S14 and they think either Zenki or Kouki with an SR20DET but they did come in a NA version.
The SR20 isn't to be fudged with! Fastest FWD dragracing car in Europe is an old Cherry with a not so stock SR20 :) Nice sound you've got going there!
ima be stupid now and ask this, and yes i do know i sound like a clown asking athis but considering ima muscle car guy i dont know the answer, are 240's all rear wheel like yours?
@s14sr20silvia probably getting confused with the s14 and the s14a which has more agressive headlights rather than r33 type lights on a s14 what you have
Thank you for clearing that up. The owner actually told me that as well. But now, I have another question. Is every 240SX a Silvia? Or is that a certain trim? Like the "GT" version of a Mustang for instance?
Yes, every 240SX/180SX have the same Silvia chasis. The reason they called it 240SX was because the shells in America were equipped with KA24DET engine, and in Japan CA18DET. See those numbers? 240 and 180 means 2.4 litres or 1.8 litres for these specific shell.
In UK , Australia and New Zealand, they called these S14 and S15 "200SX", the reason being the engine SR20DET ( 2.0 litres).
You may heard of Red top SR20DET, which came out just after CA18DET in mid 1991 but only lasted for couple of years. The red top SR20DET in 180SX can be a confusion so they call it 180SX type X. Same goes for later year model of 180SX with black top.
So yeah, all Silvia's have the same chasis but it was improved every year such as stiffness and stability.
@vbpeepee - they are all silvias but again none of them are silvias.. its same car just different name/specs!! in the uk its 200sx and they are all sr20det!
@vbpeepee because the lights are the zenki type, his car is probably 95-96, you are probably thinking about the kouki lights, 97-98 USDM, but on another note, your paint looks WET, like seriously, good lookin, i got a black kouki my self, but needs a bit of work,
@vbpeepee Uh, you're probably thinking about the kouki s14 headlights, the ones that look aggressive and sharp, right? The zenki (older model) has the headlights like the one in this video.
@vbpeepee well buddy you should know there are 2 styles of s14 the Zenki and the Kouki this one is the 1gen s14 the Zenki the one your probably thinking of the the Kouki
I can check for you kus i believe we have a stock 2jz w/out the turbos and if i still have it then u would just have to pay shipping but ill hit u back up after i check.
In short: AWESOME!! I can go probably 2-2.5'' lower than I am but keep it a little higher to drive everyday. I also have the EDFC and love it, but it's probably not really worth the extra money unless you plan on going pro or something.
no.. if you have a manual car there are no modifications to the driveshaft.. My car was an automatic so I got an aluminum driveshaft from the driveshaft shop
Some of the SE models came with a viscous LSD, but not all of them. I believe mine did, but because of the cars age I don't think it works to its full potential (parts get worn and don't lock properly).
i would never waist my tire doing a pointless burnout i'd waist my tire sliding =]

Correct. I dont like the vlsds tho. Both wheels spin in a strait line but only one spins when you turn. Not good for drifting.
