It didn't fry the camera... The flash shorted out the main capacitor but ironically the camera worked fine after it was restarted. The person who was taking the video suffered major second and third degree burns to the leg and was thrown from the porch in which they were standing.

Did the camera fry or something? Why does it stop at the flash? You cant see anything happening. Just a plain old lightning flash.
