Capitalism is based on competition.

Competition means there is a winner and a looser.

So, Capitalism breeds selfishness and greed, either by persons or groups to 'win' over others.

Capitalism is not a philosophy that leads to the greater good of all mankind and a cohesive world society or group consciousness.

This includes housing, pension and investments and jobs. When banks are given access to the savings of the middle class to invest as they wish, one can expect corruption (MF Global, Goldman Sachs) , especially when members of govt are given the ability to receive insider trading without penalty using info to invest.
