  • wow, that is amazing

  • looks fake to me...

  • screw you i know the guy

  • it is real in holland we have a real wiij(dj whit wii controller) an play in club its wurk realy god an the sound is greaat

  • PERFECT

YOU ARE MY NEW GOD =D

  • is he fucking trying to trick me with that bullshit!? he's just a crazy motherfucker! what a moron.

  • Would you like to call yourself a 'dj'

Spin some shit , not your ass

  • its cool but turntables is where to go but it cool

  • I heard about this in the Wall Street Journal back in Aoril. Wanna try it for myself. Problem is I don't know whether it requires writing code or not. I don't know C++ or anything. If I can run it right through software it would be pretty easy.

  • i'm sorry but somehow i cannot believe this isn't a fake...if it's real: congrats, of cause

  • its fake man ..bull shit

  • sorry its not, it was on the 1up show.

  • real. i even tried it my self. hope he makes a wii mote + nunchuck version instead of 2 wii motes.

  • I saw this shit on G4. The creativity is amazing.

  • nice nice I subscribe to you my friend! Have a nice day!

  • Amazing

  • why would "we" (meaning other dj's out there) ever want to give up the turntables and mixers etc.. for that crap.. dumbest idea ever

  • fake

  • dude klubbheads? :| white gloves and Whistle :/

  • Hey stratsk8, you retard dex and a turntable huh? Oh yeah maybe decks are turntables, shows how fucking bright you are. Props to whoever made this. ive been spinnin for 10+ years, and anybody that takes their own approach to djing, no matter how silly it is, does way more than someone talkin shit on a YouTube board.

  • i totally agree, that guys being a bit daft xD

  • Dude that looks awesome.

  • i didnt like but its funny

  • get some dex and a turntable

  • R.E.S.P.E.C.T !

  • Hi im interested how yo connected the wii to the p but what would i need to do this ...

  • dope, little offbeat tho, if it wasn't offbeat, it would own dude XD

  • alright interesting

  • awsome stuff dude. Im gonna try to learn it and do it this weekend. I checked out your site. Im probably still gonna need your personal help. lol. PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT FAKE.

  • Diz iz wack, if you're a real dj, u buy real turntables, not play wit sum video game

  • if you were a real DJ, you would know what Traktor is.

  • LMAO!! if he were a real dj he would fuckin use Technic 1200's!!

  • Lol what the fuck are you on about, you dont need technics to be a DJ...

  • its called experementing dude

  • DAMN! this shit is hot like fire! nice mix man.

  • roks :) nice work man

  • TO ALL THE DOUBTERS HERE: GO TO DJWIIJ (in website format, with com)

READ UP ON THAT AND TELL ME ITS FAKE. LOOK STUFF UP BEFORE YOU COME TO CONCLUSIONS YOU IDIOTS.

  • Guys if you like this, you can see the live performance on 1up

  • Since the wiimote uses Bluetooth 2.0 for synching, you can do all kinds of stuff with it. Or so I've read and heard.

  • he does notin

  • Is a Fake Fake Fake Fake Fake Fake Fake Fake Fake Fake !!!

Fucking DJ! the DJ Clown *löööööööööl*

  • nobody likes you.

  • uguys sayin fake are fukin idiots

  • its not a fake i made this too with my fuckin live visuel ;)

  • wow ,that ill dude now they need to design it to be dj ready

  • i hav tracor coz im a pc dj

  • LOOOOLL FAKEEEEEEEE

  • lol before posting a comment this stupid, try 2 think and investigate more bout using wiimote on computers....

  • Fake

  • fake

  • sddddddd

  • lol, the conception is great but i didn't try it!

  • pungpung. poser DJs that play rap? pfft. get your head outta your arse. anyone with any knowledge of the industry knows the hip hop DJs usually got more skills than those in the electro scene. we dont have the luxury of all beats running at 130-140 bpm and most of us scratch too.

but yeh.. that wii shit looks like a bit of fun. nice vid

  • Mothafucka !! damn bravo ^^

  • This is absolute bollocks!!! please give him two black 12"wanna see his agony, once again, bollocks

  • Skilled! :D

  • can't wait to see it: a "wiijay" performs with his special LED-pimped wiimotes in front of a crowd doing this thing that you call dancing (others will probably call it a seizure)... "wiiii, I can make a loop", "wiiii, here's a less than perfect drop, thank NI-ntendo for the pitch bend buttons, nobody heard that right?" and then his batteries run out of power. he he.

don't get me wrong, the idea is great and I'd probably even use the wiimote myself - but definitely not for traktor.

  • It's hard to know what he's actually doing, coz the music mostly just repeats. I notice the drum fill, but for other actions, I'm not sure what's going on. It'd be better if he narrated the actions.

  • OMG they need to make a Wii game that does this!! I'd buy it in a heartbeat! O_O

PLEASE NINTENDO IF YOU ARE READING THIS MAKE IT NOW!!! GOGOGOGO!

  • Number one.. You music stinks.

Number two.. I failed to see any sort of record spinning

Number three. I failed to see a DJ.

Number four.. I see a idiot dancing in front of a computer with 2 wii remotes.

  • Wtf, first of all the music played on here is what is used by a Real Dj not those poser Dj's that play rap and Number Two failed to see any sort of record spinning read the title and failed to see a dj That is a dj now Stfu if you don't know what your talking about

  • oi ping pong u dum ass i no a rap dje-r that has 7 businesses in and has over 100 tt's so shut ur mouth b4 i punch all your teeth in so u brush ur teeth from ur ass

  • Punggaypung, u dont know watchu talkin about, if it wasnt for hip-hop or rap, there would'nt be techno DJ's. Dumbass

  • lmao

  • 1-The music is club music, better then "poor black me"

2-I agree better check Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez or any other dj that gets seriously paid, they use cdjs from Pioneer.

3&4- djing has taken on may forms, if you refuse to push forward then you are going to be left in the dust. I have been in the business for 18 years. Moved from Vinyl to cd and now to Serato. The art of dancing is gone since "tyrone" music has became popular with the mindless and sheep.

  • this doesnt take away skill from the art if anything its has opened up more doorways in music and instruments

    so fucking cool

  • cookkk beatıful

  • Ok, better get yourself a pair of maracas and some turntables... it will make you feel at home but still let you do some real djing. lol

  • pra brincar em casa deve ser bacana... agora pra dj não rola...

  • cool video and sweet idea

  • sou do tempo de se usava 2 toca-discos e 1 mixer, mas a ideia é legal

  • Its traktor... V3 by the looks of it... nice bro, deffinatley a good idea, just imagine a dj on stage infront of thousands but instead of turntables infront of him he's dancin away wit two remottes. However deff looks like it takes some skill away from the art...

  • Hey Bro. Thar is Awesome How Do I ger started? I want be the first in my local town to do this.

  • what's the program?

  • love donk its sick and this is good shit man, i use cubase

  • gotta remember the roots of DJing though man, its hip hop its what its true nature is gonna be just dont forget that haha. id rather stick to vinyl like shroomologist said. really the way i see it though it wouldnt take as much skill as a real dj would need. you see my view though man???

  • The roots of DJing??? LOL, are you kidding? there were DJ's WAY before there was Hip Hop... if you want to start talking about roots then talk about reggae/dub/disco...I'll give hip-hop roots for scratching, but not djing...c'mon do your research. and as far as "real dj skill" dont talk about how easy something is until you try it...

  • You wanna talk roots. It started in the fifties, waaay before disco and club. Although your considering the start of mixing i assume, and in that case you would be right.

  • yea i mainly was, but you are right too.. :)

  • is it

    fl studio

  • That's nice. What program he have in computer?

  • he said it in the beginning if you listened

    cool shit man

  • Unbelieveable!

Good use of the Wii remotes. Although I dont think I have the energy to set all that up myself. But still, looks legit... very cool mann.

  • Just to let you guys know that I did a response to this video using 4 tracks and 8 bit music at the same time!

  • this is so cool, I wanna do this with my wiimotes

  • Intresting idea but I think Ill stick to vinyl thanks.

The beatmatching is all automatic though yeah? So in a sense its actually the computer doing half of the DJing. How about eqs can you even control them?

Is scratching at all possible? This would probably work well with wiimotes if it was setup right to be honest.

What if you wanted to cue a tune from somewhere other than the start on the fly?

    3 way mixes?

How would you pull a rewind?

    etc

  • well, actually, the beatmatching WASN'T automatic..it says that in the video.

The EQ's can be mapped out if desired..i have a bass cut mapped out in the video.

scratching may be possible and may sound like rubbish, but if i wanted to scratch i'd use a turntable, not a laptop

  • If you wanted to cue a tune from somewhere else other than the start you can do that too, there are a few ways around that "problem" actually.

3 way mixes? Try 4, infact, if you wanted you could have 4 decks running on Traktor and 4 wiimotes running it...fyi

pull a rewind? well, i guess at this point you cannot... BUT...i'm sure any programmer could write a DJ software that creates a rewind effect if desired...you act as if wiijing isn't allowed to grow and get better :)

  • also, i do believe there are a number of things that you cannot do on Vinyl that you can do on a laptop (and wiijing)...

  • nice mate, are you using midiyoke and glovepie?

i cant wait to try the wiimote on z3ta and some soft synths :D :D :D :D :D :D I am tempted to get a setup like this

  • wow can you get these to work on my SL1200's? :P

  • Amusing all these people without knowledge that claim "fake" to something they don't understand. I know glovepie since the start, so I know that it's not a fake and that it's a great idea. Good job guy.

  • Don't listen to the people who love to pretend they know everything about everything. You don't sound like the type of person to post something fake on the internet for a little bit of internet fame. You really seem to know what you are doing in the whole DJing thing and especially getting the Wiimotes to work like that. As commented earlier, stick some glowing skins on those and it'd light up the place. Great job, wish I could see it live (I live pretty far from your live demo.)

  • i wonder how does he play the 3rd track

  • good question... the thing is, there is no third track..

  • amazing piece of technology keep the gd work Dj

  • so how would u mix a set with this?..im gonna just stick with my tech's and cdjs thank you though this is quite interesting

  • easy, the same way you would with your tech and cdjs... its actually not that hard....if you know how to mix/beatmatch

  • this is definitely looking fake, it stutters a few times without him doin the motion that supposedly made it stutter, and i see him do the stutter motion a couple times and it doesnt stutter, so until theres a detailed explaination of each motion in the control scheme, im gonna have to believe this is fake

  • omfg u MUST play wii boxing b4 u say that!!!

sum times i dont move a muscle u still throw a punch

    its the software i guess

  • gr8 work man. thumbs up!

  • How lame.

  • i know...

  • wow!

  • that has lots of potential...patent it quick. Big Pimpin'

  • Can't really patent something using a hack and other people's products though, can ya?

  • Don't mean to piss on you, but i think it's fake;)

  • lol... well its not fake...

  • fake

  • tite!

  • That is so sweet

  • That's simply awesome

  • strap some glowing skins on those wiimotes and youll set the club of fire

  • great job. keep innovating!

  • PIMP

  • that's too cool

  • just use a bluetooth microphone, that'd save time + no wires from wiimote...

  • its amazing how many doors the wiimote has opened up.

  • it's amazing how many doors, tvs, ribs and skulls have been opened up (or dented) from a wiimote ;)

  • Swiitness!

  • this is f*cking awesome!!! send the video to nintendo! i dare you!

  • I can see this being cool for people who want to mix music at home...but it would be a very sad day if someone like Richie Hawtin would do this

  • you need to patent this man!

  • very cool. Has anyone made a virtual drumset out of a pair of wii controllers yet?

  • oh god some1 please bring this dude out the back and shoot him for playin this "dance music". ever wonder why dance has a bad name? well listen to the crap this guy is playin and theres ur answer. salt and pepa for fuck sake enlightin urself on some real electronic music electro,tech-house, techno.anything but that fuckin cheese

  • i chose those sal/pepa so people would have a reference of what was going on. they could easily hear both songs playing.if i chose some "l33t" techno track then nobody would be able to hear the actual mix since two unfamiliar tracks playing at the same time might as well be one song, nobody can tell the difference.but a track thats familiar and one that isn't so much gives people something to listen for. they can easily hear both songs playing at the same time.thats why i went with that "crap"

  • now that is awesome! YOU SHOULD MAKE A DJ GAME FOR WII! itl be brill

  • sketch this concept and get it notorized you are a genius my man ^.^

  • This is absolutely the coolest thing I've seen in a LONG time.. much props, shift-1, even if your name is kinda goofy.. unique, yes, but goofy too.. I still love you though :)

  • This only the first step. The Wii will take over the world.

  • Pretty Cool, I like the way the DJ can move around while playing if they do this. Some kind of game for the console could work too.

  • checked this out at 600 views now its up to 13451. hope to see it at one of the clubs soon. keep on hustling. ^^

  • with some work on the interface, this or something like it seems really likely to catch on. great idea! great idea, dj !

  • You have the power, man.

  • well done!!

  • great idea. Yet I was hoping for a simple wii software to enable me to dj as such. I mean, it would be pretty cool to just simply pop in a wii disc into a wii and just simply dj off of your tv rather than reconfiguring your pc into a dj machine. All in all, pretty cool...

  • This is very good, I would like to see some game developers come up with something this original, Kudus m8.

  • very cool

  • the idea also hit me when i saw the orchestra demo at e3 last year. mad props for getting on top of this - hopefully enough noise will be generated to get people crackin on motion sensing capabilities - id love to see this simulate freehand mixin/scratchin

  • This should be seen as another Wiimote use demonstration and nothing more IMO.

So many vital techniques are not possible using this, such as beatmatching, gaining, fading, cueing, EQing, effects, etc. The list goes on and on.

With that, you're basically triggering pre-beatmatched loops, which can be fun for a while but shouldn't be seen as a form of DJing.

It is a nice development, and I applaud you for that, but I don't think any serious DJ is going to see this as anything more than that.

  • actually dude, i beatmatched the songs manually using the Crosspad on the right wiimote, i faded using the left crosspad...every control you need is MAPPED to a button ... its actually not that complex or hard.. to beatmatch you just need to pitch bend, not do anything special..

  • Beatmatching is a lot more than pitch bending. You can't pitch bend a 125bpm track to match a 130bpm track for 2+ minutes, or however long your transition is. Also, after you let go of the pitch bend, it's still gonna revert back to its original BPM.

I'm not flaming your work, because its well done, but this isn't really a means of DJing IMO, just a nice showcase of cool ways to use the Wiimote.

  • you can change the Pitch % so you dont have to hold down the bend as much. You would only have to bend things back in place ever now. In the demo the crossfader is left in the middle, the whole time i'm keeping the songs beatmatched manually using % and bend. you can hear them go slightly out of sync at times, both songs play at full blast the whole time, the only thing i did was cut the Low eq on either track so the basslines change, giving both tracks more headroom at times...

  • Interesting

  • cool video.. there was a recent dj in japan that did something simular

  • wow !!!!

  • I hope you don't need the IR sensor too much, if you're in a club with flashing lights, the IR sensing will screw up REALLY bad.

  • it's bluetooth

  • This looks great! :o

  • Worth Watching.

  • Cool...
