  • now I know what u mean :)

  • any vids on the method feeder ? realy top quality vids my friend

  • @kiddamick Thanks. Check my other videos, several of them include footage with method balls.

  • Try 2 use Mouthsnagger from Carp R'US. They always get hooked !

  • very interesting and thought provoking video! Makes you wonder how many fish you "nearly" caught in the past. From watching this (and other carp live videos) i think that fish are now very wise to bolt rigs and hair rigs and perhaps a change back to light leads, running rigs, slack lines and fine hairs used in the eighties is needed to fool the new generation of carp that have wised up to recent heavy bolt rig tactics. Has anyone tried this? any success?

  • @stringstrummer25 This is actually recorded in the US, where VERY FEW people fish for carp. So no fishing pressure, no wise carp. It's just that we never realized how many times they suck & spit before they get hooked - somewhat by luck. I did record a video about a semi-fixed rig. I didn't try a lighter lead yet.

  • maybe an idea;; can you make a video with all the catches, per video??

  • and... is that a plastic bait? ;$

  • @Danos313 Yes. I caught many fish with it, actually.

  • you're fishing on a highway, next to the water haha, it looks so xd

  • yeah 2inch is a good size on a longshank blow back rig attached to a helicopter rig,has caught me lots of fish this season while others have had nothing on the lake.......or maybe it was the monster squid boilies i was using too lol.

Have switched to solid pva bags as the fish wise up quickly and these are doing even better but dont use long hairs on the short hooklinks for this, just a shoet hair and curve shanx

  • @ssashby1 yes, it's hard to truly dissociate the success parameters! Thanks for sharing your experience.

  • thats not a long hair at all, when using a blow back rig somtimes go up to 3inches

  • @ssashby1 That would be a super-long hair! LOL. Seriously, as you can see from the video, using such extre long hair, it is very likely that you would have a LOT of takes where the hook just doesn't make to the mouth. Sure enough, sometimes it will work, notably when carp are very active, but I don't know, if I were you, I'd question the use of such super long hairs! Just my humble opinion...

  • for how long the catched carp distroyes the feeding place?

  • Do you use some special flavour in your videos?? because the fishes doesn´t swim at first to your boilie or is it just because there is much food or they aren´t interested in the flavour??

  • @hartz42 Whenever I tried to dip/flavor the hookbait, it never made any difference. I am getting quite convinced that the chum I throw to attract them makes for a mix of flavors in the water and numb their senses to a point where they just blindly vacuum the bottom, and you can do whatever you want to the hookbait, it no longer makes a difference. Without chumming, things would probably be different.

  • Wow if i would fish like that in the Netherlands with a vertical line i would not catch anything. Carps would not even approch my bait to much pressure on te water so the carps know the trick!!!

Lovely to see these carp feeding with no hesitation!!. Look for some bigger ones would love to see that! Keep up the good work!!

Greets from Amsterdam.(If you visit Amsterdam check out "De Sloterplas" nice lake with lots of carp. Biggest cought there is 60+ pound average between 20 and 40 pound.)

  • @cyprinus1981 Would love to give it a try in Amsterdam. I used to travel out there for business quite often, but I didn't go there in quite a while.

  • Hello Jerome, I'm from Italy. Your videos are very good, compliments!

I would like to make you a question:

were you fishing just over the carps (in vertical i mean)? After the carps hooked, you landed them? They were well hooked?

  • @MrStocacchio yes, yes and yes ;-)

  • Great footage - problem is npt the hair length, its the 5in hook link - it was stopping the bait being sucked futher in to the carps mouth so the hook was out side - if you do that again - try a longer hook length - 9 ins - iwas experimenting with two links joined with a ring - so one link was free to run through the other link and when it hit the end stop( another ring but larger) you got a bolt rig - with a half inch hair had 20 carp on three sessions.

    kind regards

    Ray

  • @Ray9678 Trouble with a long hook link is that it dramatically increases the number of times where they spit it out before the line tightens. This was made clear in earlier footage I published. There is no ideal solution, I'm afraid! ;-)

  • Cool videos.

Whats the biggest youve had from the spots where these videos are from?

    TIGHT LINES

    Ben

  • A couple of low twenties were caught out there, but the average size is more between 4 to 12 pounds. I'd love to find a spot where I could observe bigger ones, but never found such a place, the practicalities of video recording are rather challenging...

  • cool video mate.....5* and i added to favourites and i subbed :) looking foward to more great videos.

  • cool video!! so this means don't use a too long hair right?!?! :D

  • As you can see, a too long hair might cause carp to pick up the bait while the hook is still hanging out of the mouth. Doesn't seem too good!

  • where did u get the camera from mate?

  • does this also work well for catfish?

  • I do occasionally catch catfish with such rigs - without really intending to. So I guess the answer is yes, but there are probably better ways of catching them.

  • them suckers are feeding hard, werrent they homig in on your bait as you twitched it, i swear they were cmpeteing for your feed nice vid

  • Great video!

  • how do you land the fish when your fishing a six foot drop.

  • You can use a drop net (a big round net with ropes). Where I record those videos, it's simpler, I can drag fish on the side of the wall, and get access to shore.

  • judging by how much of the hooklink the carp are taking in i dont think i'll ever worry about my hair being too long again.great videos keep them comming

  • Er... Watch the video again! Notably at the end... ;-)

  • there still sucking in long hookinks,i mean there taking the hook and a fair chunk of the rig what i was saying is i used to think my hair was too long..not anymore and ive put it to a good test over the last month an 12 inch rig a 4 inch hair does the buisness at the syndicate im on,this is comming from someone who would only use 4/6 inch rigs

  • I love it Jerome! J'aime toujours ces vidéos!
