Animals are showing more compassion than most humans. Why film this when you can remove the dead dog out of traffic so his companion does not get hit too? If there are so many strays in the city then how did they get there? By being dumped by irresponsible humans. Thousands are killed in shelters every day because people are irresponsible and don't spay/neuter and ensure their pet is safe inside a yard or house. Hundreds are brutalized by abusers every day in America. So all those that posted they would have helped, then call a local rescue. They need help.

This is life but it does not have to be that way. If street dogs were spayed and neutered wherever possible this would seriously reduce their numbers. If there were proper facilities where street dogs could go to be reunited with lost owners, treated, rehomed or if needs be put down in a peaceful way rather than having people running after them with guns, then that will also help to solve the problem. Yes this IS the real world, but that doesn't mean we can't CHANGE it.

It's the same for Taiwan though. The reason they don't feel that emotion to feel bad for the dog is because there's just way too many strays in both countries. I'm not saying I don't feel bad, I do! I always pay close attention to stray dogs in Taiwan whenever I go back. Just explaining why they're going going over to help the two dogs in the video. Another reason is because the dog might attack anyone that gets close.

This is life but it does not have to be that way. If street dogs were spayed and neutered wherever possible this would seriously reduce their numbers. If there were proper facilities where street dogs could go to be reunited with lost owners, treated, rehomed or if needs be put down in a peaceful way rather than having people running after them with guns, then that will also help to solve the problem. Yes this IS the real world, but that doesn't mean we can't CHANGE it.

The attempted "drag to safety" may be no more than trying to drag the meal to a secure location. Canines (dogs) are not sentient beings, meaning they have no self awareness. They're instinctual creatures who react to stimulus. This dog somehow received a "reward" (joining it's pack for survival) from the dead dog sometime during it's life. This dog has no concept of another dog being alive or dead. It reacts on instinct and stimulus alone - it's pack is gone. Don't apply human emotions on animals. They live only in the present - they have no concept of future or past.
