I was humbled by the honesty of Yehudi Menuhin. His words speak volumes and his modesty lifts him from the norm. I think he underestimates himself. Two wonderfully exciting, mesmerising musicians.

@111chazz Right on the money! Of course Menuhin's shortcommings in impovisation are more then offset by the subtlety, vertuocity, and control in his classical playing. I was impressed by his responce also!

@spret333 I am not 100% sure shortcomings is the right word here. Contrary to jazz musicians, classical musicians are not supposed to improvise they are supposed to strictly follow the text and they differ in the manner they follow it. As Menuhin put it : We each have our sphere... And they are superb together each in his own way.
