Punk is The Ramones, The Vibrators, The Clash, etc but i also listen to bands such as the Black Veil Brides, Marilyn Manson, and Alesana. and what you said is not why people think punk is MCR and MCR is punk they do what the fuck they want to, granted they have shifted towards Pop Punk and Alterantive but so has Green Day and they are the most punk band ever because they do what they want.
