i have to choose between this and alienware's m11x im not sure what is better but i know the asus has about 30 min. of battery for intense games.

I was thinking the same between the 2. Alienware is pricey, and small screen. But it looks amazing, is portable, and tons of battery life. As for the asus great screen size and gpu. Although the battery sucks and its very heavy.

@kindom2010 yeah, got it on december 8th , while it still was 869.99, I'm typing on it right now =D notebook came as good as new...not even a single scratch, been playing CoD Black Ops , Assassin's Creed, and Battlefield Bad Company 2 at max settings with no issues so far ;)! I'm so happy with it!!

Whats the battery life on this? Has it given you any problems yet? How much did you pay? Sorry for all the questions but i just want to know what im getting before i get it :D

@douhnutz i have this laptop and it is awsome, no problems so far.the only thing i would have liked improved would be the lcd ( resolution). it comes with some bloatware installed...not alot but enough to make want to reinstall win 7 ( used the drivers from asus website with no problems.) the power brick however is HUGE and sucks down a huge amount of power. my 200w car power inverter couldn't handle it... had to get a 300w for this bad boy.

i can get up to an hour and a half of battery if i switch it to "balanced" in the power management battery icon. but for gaming...forget it, you need to have it pluggged in. if you try to game whyle on battery you will notice your framerates are down. i guess the cpu/gpu run at slower speeds. i paid 1,299 plus tax a few months ago @ bb

@driftapex No problems whatsoever, looking to get a ssd for it. found a oem win 7 64 image online(torrent site) and used that along with the licence code from under the laptop, now i have a complete stock version of win 7 without having to buy a copy.
