Okay one thing EXTREMELY wrong with this video. First off, this preacher skews what an actual atheist professor would say. Any atheist would be smart enough to say that darkness is a lack of light, and coldness is a lack of heat. It's taught in school for goodness sakes. Heat can also be the absence of cold. Light can also be the absence of darkness. Noise can also be the absence of silence. These are inadequate definitions, though. Imagine if dictionaries defined words based solely on what they were not; we wouldn't have any statements about what things are!
Cold can go to 0 Kelvins... that's absolute zero, when matter and energy cease to exist. There is such a thing as silence, it is when absolutely no energy is being transferred via sound waves. Patterns occur naturally... spherical cosmological bodies are due to gravity. Atoms aren't round.... subatomic particles aren't necessarily round either... We can't see molecules or atoms. This argument is idiotic.
Darkness is the absence of light... there can still be matter in darkness... Cold is relative, Heat is energy. Temperature is the average kinetic energy in a sample. They're different. Darkness does exist, Cold is relative but also exists. Here is something that proves the irrationality of the statements: "is there oxygen?. Yes there's oxygen. then are there places without oxygen? Yes. No there aren't because there is only oxygen and without oxygen what do you have?" replace oxygen for anything.

There, possibly, was no creation: things existed infinitely. For ever, and ever. Perhaps the universe contracts and expands, but I don't see a reason for there to be a origin. Why is it that everything has to be created? So, if we assume no creation, why should there be a creator? Hence no god. Just my view.

My perception is that there is only darkness (which is what existed, the bible claims, first) and no such thing as light, and that light is really nothing more than the lack of darkness. Haven't watched the full video, but at 9:02, the gentleman says, "452 degrees Kelvin, after that, it doesn't get any colder than that". This is incorrect. The theoretical minimum temperature is the Absolute Zero = 0 K = -273.14 degrees centigrade. 452 K (~ 179 degrees centigrade) is pretty hot! Perhaps he meant to say - 459.67 degrees Farenheit?

Darkness is the absence of light... there can still be matter in darkness... Cold is relative, Heat is energy. Temperature is the average kinetic energy in a sample. They're different. Darkness does exist, Cold is relative but also exists. Here is something that proves the irrationality of the statements: "is there oxygen?. Yes there's oxygen. then are there places without oxygen? Yes. No there aren't because there is only oxygen and without oxygen what do you have?" replace oxygen for anything.

They never explain who are these 'professors' who never heard of methodological naturalism and fallibilism...In fact all they show is that even what we accept as knowledge can raise deep philosophical problems, basically nothing is really exempt from possible rational replacement. All he says is true. But he is asking the wrong question - "who" is the dishonest approach, he should have said "what". When assuming a "who", you have allready limited yourself - and you are only looking in "one direction" searching for a specific conclussion.
Science do not exclude devine creation as a possibility - science has no bias. Most religious exclude creation without a god - with a bias, and that is dishonest (if you care for the truth at least).

I hate how the atheist is always shown to be an angry and selfish person when we are not. We only try to study the series of evidence given and produce common sense, and we certainly (atleast the ones I know) try to be open minded, not like what we were portrayed by this guy.

I don't believe in intelligent design, I don't believe in a man in the sky. I believe in matter and energy transforming into one another forever and ever. There, possibly, was no creation: things existed infinitely. For ever, and ever. Perhaps the universe contracts and expands, but I don't see a reason for there to be a origin. Why is it that everything has to be created? So, if we assume no creation, why should there be a creator? Hence no god. Just my view.

@edlgotbanged by definition your own response is contradictory. You say that there is no such thing as infinity yet Allah's mercy is infinite. Anyway, leaving that alone, I fail to see how if infinity means that we would never exist and that today would never come... infinty includes today, yesterday and tomorrow and every other day. I can understand that people assume creation and a beginning and end, but your reasoning for the non-existance of infinity is supremely flawed.

I've heard this same story before. Christians use it, but instead of a Muslim student they say Einstein was the smart little kid owning the mean old atheist (which is funny because Einstein wasn't Christian).
This guy's embellished the story a bit, so he gets points for creativity.
Snopes does a good article about this story, just look up "malice of absence" or "einstein atheist professor".
All in all, it's a straw man theists have fabricated.

You realize Hawking has changed his stance significantly since he made that statement in.....what was it? The 80s?
In fact, his latest statement was "It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the universe going." He feels there is enough evidence to say with some confidence that God did not create the universe.
I'm not arguing with you, I'm just letting you know your info on Hawking's beliefs is a little out of date.

Sir, I have a question. As you righly said, it is our perception. So, your perception leads you to conclude that there is no darkness, just the lack of light, and therefore, you claim, darkness doesn't really exist. My perception is that there is only darkness (which is what existed, the bible claims, first) and no such thing as light, and that light is really nothing more than the lack of darkness. Some say the glass is half empty, others half full. To be one does it not have to be the other?

Oh please! "It looks like it has been designed, so it must have been designed by an intelligent creator". There are so very many flaws with this argument that I don't even know where to begin!
Muslims must give their Creator some credit, and at least TRY to be worthy of being called His creations. I know you have been indoctrinated from childhood into surrendering your reason to authority, but really, you can be more logically rigorous than this!

Haven't watched the full video, but at 9:02, the gentleman says, "452 degrees Kelvin, after that, it doesn't get any colder than that". This is incorrect. The theoretical minimum temperature is the Absolute Zero = 0 K = -273.14 degrees centigrade. 452 K (~ 179 degrees centigrade) is pretty hot! Perhaps he meant to say - 459.67 degrees Farenheit?

I mean why wouldn't an atheist be mad, and cranky he's lacking god he must be angy about the void in his life. There's nothing more ignorant than a scientist, noone more close minded than a scientist. Why would he not believe the perfect evidence of an all loving theistic god when all the logical evidence is right in front of him. Just a typical moronic atheist that's angry at god. ;)

@xMarchx31stx that has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. it'q quite the other way around. atheists don't pretend to know everything, we don't have all the answers. theists on the other hand claim they know exactly what and who god is, what happens to you after you die. that's arrogance. scientists only claim those things to be true which already have been proven to be true. with observation and experimentation. and every proof of it completely blows theistic claims out of the water

It's like the man said himself, PERCEPTION.
We see things like orbits and these "space patterns" as "patterns" because of our perception. They orbit because of gravity, not because of design. And even then, where did "god" get the idea for his designs? And if we can't come up with OUR own morals, why can "god" come up which his own?
If you say humans are incapable of setting their own morals, then God is also incapable of setting his own morals.

Funny how the atheist deniers, often focus on the appearance or the fysical attributes of the speaker, than realizing the meaning of what is being said.
One of your issues is, you seem to disrespect people, who speaks to the public in a language they can understand.
What is also funny is, that all the atheist speakers, speak in riddles and use words that way surpasses the listeners abilities or understanding, therefore creating confusion.
