since you said you were working on your eq, try making your lower leg more secure by squeezing with your calf and sink your weight down into your heels, it will help alot!=D heels down will help you out the most in everything! :]
thanks i've gotten a bit better since this things have started to click with me & opal with jumping. in the part where i'm in the field the very first log which is furthest back now i can canter her up to it and get over it with zero problems =) i used to always trot it because i was afraid she would refuse it at the canter
practising your line is the right thing! lol im rubbish at my lines too jumps (but getting better! My ponies called Opal too! i like watchin vids of horses called opal. lol and you cant do no stirrups or bareback on my opal cuz she jus canters. lol
If you don't mind me giving slight critique--when you jump bareback, especially over the fence and upon landing, imaging your legs closing around the horse, like you're trying to tap your heels underneath her stomach. From you waist up, stretch up tall and look at the horizonline.
Opal's gorgeous! And you're so brave to jump bareback, I did it once at horse camp and I totally refuse to ever do it again lol. You rode REALLY well!
wow u r amazing xxxxx love your horse xxxx
