Imagine having a meal with that the crew...with them all acting the way they do on the show. The host...shouting a lot and glaring at the food...and that annoying announcer guy destroying any conversation remaining, constantly interjecting FUKUI-SAN...what a night

The Japanese version is so much superior to the American version. Kaga knows what cuisine is all about! The American chairman can't tell rabbit from burgers!

the man who played kaga was an actor, just like the "chairman" int he american version. Along with his role as the chairman, he played tony in a japanese version of westside story and jesus in jesus christ superstar

I completely concur with you guys. The American version is most incompetent. The Japanese version is predominant and cannot be imitated.

Especially when something is impromptu.

Better chefs, better chairman, more international expert chefs, and better theme ingredients. The only things ICA has are Alton Brown and Mike Symon. Morimoto is busy with his restaurant, Batali is quitting, leaving Symon as the only worthwhile chef on the show. ICA may be reaching it's final season.

The Japanese version is better than the American one but that doesn't mean that the American version isn't a good show in it's own right.

The Liang Brothers' video package is amazing! I love the beginning, with the dramatic violin music and the shot of the brothers together... then, THE LIANG BROTHERS, DUM DUM DUMMMMMM..... awesome!!!
