Imagine having a meal with that the crew...with them all acting the way they do on the show. The host...shouting a lot and glaring at the food...and that annoying announcer guy destroying any conversation remaining, constantly interjecting FUKUI-SAN...what a night
Thank you so much @ archo89 for posting these battles! I love Iron Chef so much, and I just got into it so it's great to watch past battles online! :) Thanks!
Paris, Beijing and Hong Kong is hardly "all over the world"...that's three cities, two of which are in the same continent. I'd like to see an african iron chef, that really would be a clash of cultures.
The Japanese version is so much superior to the American version. Kaga knows what cuisine is all about! The American chairman can't tell rabbit from burgers!
the man who played kaga was an actor, just like the "chairman" int he american version. Along with his role as the chairman, he played tony in a japanese version of westside story and jesus in jesus christ superstar
Better chefs, better chairman, more international expert chefs, and better theme ingredients. The only things ICA has are Alton Brown and Mike Symon. Morimoto is busy with his restaurant, Batali is quitting, leaving Symon as the only worthwhile chef on the show. ICA may be reaching it's final season.
Americans are stupid. They can't understand the taste and groove of the originals. When American Konami team tried to make US version of "Tokimeki Memorial", tt turned out like some monster looking girls shit.
The Liang Brothers' video package is amazing! I love the beginning, with the dramatic violin music and the shot of the brothers together... then, THE LIANG BROTHERS, DUM DUM DUMMMMMM..... awesome!!!
gotta love the chairman!hahahaha! =D

I completely concur with you guys. The American version is most incompetent. The Japanese version is predominant and cannot be imitated.
Especially when something is impromptu.

I still say Alton Brown makes a better host than the Japanese floor reporter that keeps chanting "Kuson!!!"
FrostbittenWolf 2 years ago
its fukui-san, and yes i think alton is a better floor reporter, but the japanese show is just better as a whole....it seems more epic

Go JAPAN!!! Their show is EPIC!!! American tried to make this show but they completely ruin the taste. AMERICAN IRON CHEF SUCK A DANG!!

The Japanese version is better than the American one but that doesn't mean that the American version isn't a good show in it's own right.

The music is so dramatic. The music for the second brother made me think of Star Wars, the full orchestral version of the Emperial March. XD

I meant the older brother. Oops. (The segment starts with the word "Leadership.")

I think the Pork Belly battle and it's overtime are my favorite battles that I've seen so far.
