But was it always the same with PC games. You also needed to spend MUCH money on a pc to play a game lag free back in those years??

@GTASA911 back than a pc was pretty expensive. The games didn't require so much hardware like in this days, because the programmers make the games to work on most PC. Now days, its kinda reverse, the programmers make people buy stuff.At tht time some high quality graphics games were made to work only on vga graphic cards (max 640x480 resolution and 256 colors). At a later time svga graphic cards appeared (800x600 resolutions and up), after that 3d accelerators and etc.

in germany you could only buy a censored version with robots!! instead of humans.. but you could patch it to the original version easiy ;P

I got it working on XP in the end, but I don't know about Vista. You're gonna need a program called "VDMS", but it has to be version 2.0.4 or earlier, then if you want the 3DFX graphics to work, you'll need another program called "dgvoodoo", and muck about with the graphical settings in that. Once you have them all installed you right click the 3dfx.exe icon and select "Run with VDMS". You don't need DOSBox.

listen, i have a little problem in the game, when i'm trying to play on NORMAL difficulty lvl, my rank is always staying 99, no matter how many times i'm doing the 3 first races (i can only play the first 3 races) so do you know how can i change my rank? (i've won in all the 3 races and the rank does'nt change) but on easy lvl its change when i win a race. so my question is: how do i change my rank (hes always 99), i mean, get a better rank so i can open and play new races

Actually it was released in the UK. I watched the rolling demo over and over then bought it when it was released, with an 18 certificate. They changed it to zombies with green blood though but a quick patch from the internet (or a cover disc from PC Zone magazine) changed that back to red blooded pedestrians.
