This is base on the 1942 'Battle Of Los Angeles', a spacecraft in coast of Los Angeles during WW2. They entire city was in panicked and called a black out, suspectig it was an enemy anonnous attack. Dozens of Army anti-aircraft batteries firing nearly 2,000 rounds of 12 pound, high explosive shells at the unknown spacecraft but never able to take it down.

All I got to say is this, first of all, don't make the movie like "Skyline." You have to have a level of vulnerability when it comes to an advanced alien civilization. They always have a chink in the armor per say. They reason why "Skyline" failed is because once you take out the "we can't blow them away" factor, you give up all hope in that movie. Second, the military has to be more involved in a whole world battle, not just the view of a view people stuck in a bloody hotel room... con't...

Alot of people keep referring to this as a District 9 ripoff, but the two movies are nothing alike. This is movie is more of a war movie, and rather then being based from the perspective of one or two people, its the shared perspective of a group of people within a military unit, kindof like a cooperative video game. Sounds very interesting.
