People these days are idiots all of you. Jeff is a personal friend of mine and unless he has done something personal to DONT dog on him. And u nursrjosh88 kempo is mostly memorization and using what u remembered in training in certain situations. Actually learn some and you will understand and dont post n e thing on here

hi i have studied isshin ryu kodokan judo and neko ryu jujitsu and 1 year ago i started kenpo under master larry tatum mr speakman was the reason i started but working with kenpo ive learned more in a year than i have in 15 kenpo blends with everything i have learned and in that i learned to be humble much respect to the united kenpo families a shame negative people wont understand what that means.

If you wish to learn how to truly defend yourself, you only need to know what it absolutely necessary for MOST physical confrontations. KENPO IS NOT THE ANSWER! You MUST learn how to kick/punch yes. But you ALSO MUST LEARN HOW TO PROPERLY GRAPPLE! Kenpo and nothing related to it can do that -- period!

In retrospect man My martial arts teacher teaches traditional Tae Kwon Do, and Shorin-Ryu karate. Even in those two arts we have covered some grappling. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is not the only art that covers ground fighting. And actually in regards to that BJJ was derived from Japanese Ju Jutsu and Judo.
And yet again, we all seem to be forced to watch another wannabe kenpo group doing the same bullshit memorized motion nonsense and saying that its "innovate" and "effective". 21st century my ass. The only thing modern about this....IS NOTHING! Come on guys -- WAKE THE FUCK UP! Don't you know this bologna will NOT help you -- only get you in serious physical trouble!
depends on instructor and does they train for 21 century reality fighting and self defense. some do some don't i cannot speak for all kenpo styles and insturctors. all also some weapons(guns, knives) and real world qigong training

I liked seeing that M-4 carbine. Finally some one is inventing techniques for realistic and _modern_ threats. Now I am wondering when schools are going to stop training in rediculous traditional weapons (staff and tonfa wich could be a cane are exceptions)and offter firearms training.
This looks much better than Speakmans kenpo 5.0, so I have to ask is this your brand of 5.0 or did you train under Speakman in his 5.0 program? Just from looking at vids here on youtube, there is a huge differance and Speakman's does not look as good.
