You're wrong the gobi campaign scout rifle is only a 2x critical chance multiplier. You only need 7 endurance to get every implant but the regenerating one that's practically worthless and you should only take 8 agility and use the small frame trait and only 5 strength and get the weapon handling perk. I guess you made this before the dlc's but you also get one more strength as soon as you start old world blues which is where Christine's sniper rifle is that's arguably better than the gobi.

@156Reece you need to either get a store clerk or someone to repair it by paying, or alternatively find the same gun or another gun that can be used as parts and combine it by pressing y i think. You need high enough repair to increase the amount repaired otherwise you may be unable to decrease its damage.

The only sad thing for me is that you do not go around energy weapons because they are king when it comes to critical. As for hollow point, it makes it possible to one shot the Legendary Deathclaw. A staple for energy weapons would be Pew Pew, Q-35 Matter Modulator, and maybe AER-Prototype cuz it's laser. Alien Blaster is overrated, I used it against LD and with Yao guai meat, slasher, and lily for extra sneak and only did about 550-600 damage. I was loaded with perks so that wasn't a problem.

i cant say this character is good or bad because the cool thing about fallout it lets you chose how you play i usually focus on getting my guns lock pick energy weapons and explosives and in my opinion screw just about everything else i just get all the really good guns mercy anti-material and annabell are my guns oh and riot shotgun if your good you can get the riot at like level 4

VATS based characters are not always the most effective. Sometimes it's a good way to get yourself killed on Very Hard. The damage reduction is almost negligible due to the amount of time you waste watching the slow motion kill animations while another deathclaw is raping your face. If you're making a ranged character, dumping so many points into Endurance is usually a waste. I find 5 points is usually ideal (ST, PE, LK, then 2 implants at your discretion). Agility doesn't affect move speed.

@PaddyMotion Intense Training is a way to up SPECIAL, or you can go to the medical clinic outside New Vegas and buy implants for +1 any of your SPECIAL stats.. It's pricey though.

People suggest 10 int....lol, noobs, no point having 8 skills at 100. At the time he presented this build it was damn good, then the gobi was patched. If your a gun charachter you need 4 skills at 100, no more. Also with dlc the lvl cap is 50, so an int of 4 or 5 will go alot further. So int should be no higher than lets say....6 , if you put it at 9 or 10 your gimping on your other specials, making things like crit,ap,hp worse

I'm so tired of people saying "OMG NO INTELLIGENCE WTF?". Intelligence builds, and maxing out as many skills as you can, are BORING. You should add variety to your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stats to get a mixture of perks. I can assure you, unless you are modding your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stats, I can make a much more superior build without 10 Intelligence, or any of the perks you mentioned for that matter.

Tbh, I agree with not caring about speech because I like to play through the game completely and sometimes when u succeed a speech challenge, u may have to miss out on doing something. But I love barter also so that's why I could never have a 1 charisma. Ha. Kudos could character and strategy regardless.

This video was uploaded npv 8 2010, which is pretty soon after the games release and actually very impressive to have this type of character build in such a short time. But the software has developped and improved an dhave more items through patched that should not be forgotten. For instance some patched lowered weapons strenght or made extra cool things appear (like the Lucky Shades)

My advice DO A HECK OF RESEARCH like my ultimate assassins character :)

There are more levels because of DLC which results into more skillbooks

more levels means more skills to upgrade

There is a lot of changes

But if you not plan on purchasing DLC this will be very close to this ultimate character thing

@ArnacMGS If you plan on purchasing the DLC, you will be forced to update as well. With this update comes new weapon specs that make this build complete trash. The only reason this build is so effective is the .308 cal sniper rifles (Gobi and regular) used to have 5x critical multipliers, which made it extremely easy to achieve 100% critical chance. Now, they have been reduced to 2x critical multipliers, so sadly this build is complete trash and Deathclaws will own you if you attempt to do this.

I remember of few days ago when I was hunting with my Anti-Material riffle in the Quarry.

I didn't have 100 Guns but it didn't took my more then VATS once to slay the Mother or Alhpa Male

Got I love that gun

There should be a silencer on that gun!

And something to lose some weight like with the sniper riffle

@ArnacMGS Honestly, if you want a truly devastating character, simply put this character together:

- 100 guns skill

- Riot Shotgun

- 12 gauge Magnum rounds

- Shotgun Surgeon

- And stay back

And tada! With a grand total of 2 perks, you can kill a pack of deathclaws singlehandedly, without either sneak attacks or massively powerful sniper rifles, or even VATS for that matter...

A perfect example of this is when I played Honest Hearts, and as soon as I exited one of the caves the Survivalist set up camp in, three Giant Yao Guai appeared out of nowhere (I think they were supposed to spawn there BEFORE I got to the cave, not on my way out...) There's no sneaking around three Giant Yao Guais 10 feet in front of you...

@DrugMan24 Not even close. "And stay back" knocks down anything I shoot approx. every 3rd shot. This is useful even against multiple Deathclaws, because you can simply shoot the closest of the foes until it falls down, then move on to the next one. They take about 5-6 seconds to get up, which is plenty long enough to cripple a leg or kill it outright by walking up to it and finishing off with a few slugs to it's head.

Slugs seem to have the same knock down chance, but they hit less often.
