Bullfighting is a link to our primeval past. I think it's important to remember where we came from, and keeping that tradition alive is a great way to do that. Its a relic, and it deserves to be preserved. It isn't as though cows aren't routinely slaughtered, in far less amiable circumstances, every second of every day.

Thing is though, I have only been to one event, im not Spanish and stuff, don't reeeeally see it as an artform, but there is more to this cultural phaenomenon than just "cruelty". I doubt we will agree on this topic, but see a fight if you get the chance, one has to experience it to understand the attraction :)

Thing is though, I have only been to one event, im not Spanish and stuff, don't reeeeally see it as an artform, but there is more to this cultural phaenomenon than just "cruelty". I doubt we will agree on this topic, but see a fight if you get the chance, one has to experience it to understand the attraction :)

When the animal is arguably not conscious of the process, in terms of... processing the situation with the same degree of fear, anxiety and conscience as we have then it's surely OUR intent that matters more.
So, to kill a cow, to eat it - is for a reason. But, to torment an animal in a ring of jeers for our own amusement is definitely different, we're treating the cruelty as a sport / game.
