I cannot believe that at such a young age, Rafi Sahib sounds so mature and in controle of his voice. I saw every other singer struggling espcially in the begining of their career and you can tell by listening to their early songs, but a true Legend and a born singer will always be Perfect right from the begining.

I saw this movie as a teenager in a matinee show to escape the afternoon heat.  It turned out to be a very nice movie. This song was unforgettable even then. Asimjee, bahut shukkar.

Thannx great asim. I saw this movie in 1966. thereafter I hadn't any chance to see it again. Today in 2007 you gave me the opptny to see this song. thanx also to YTube. IT IS so thrillling to see Rafisaab singing on screen. "Ankh me se aansu nikal jate hai!"(Tears come into eyes by looking him singing on screen). Did anyone notice that sosmeone had given playback to even rafisaab for some lines in this song.
