They are lyrics to various songs by Southern California early 80's bands Saccharine Trust, Red Cross, Sin 34, and Circle One. Mostly they come from a compilation lp called "Public Service" on Smoke 7 Records.
For whatever faint praise it may be, I thought the Grunge pedal was the best-sounding of DOD's pedals at the time. Maybe it's not saying much, but compared to DOD's other offerings of the period, like the American Metal, the Buzzbox , or---I truly shudder to recall---the "Punkifier," the Grunge sounded like a boutique tube amp emulator. (Though the "butt" and "face" knobs certainly didn't do its credibility any favors.)
I prefer the BIG MUFF FUZZ Pedal

I bought one of those thinking it would make me sound like Kurt or the Melvins. I returned it a week later.
