The whole point of the democratic process is to elect people who you want to represent you in office. We need Peter to get into office and we need to keep electing more and more people like Peter as Mayors, Governors, State Reps, Congressman, Senators and hopefully Presidents. As a seasoned military vet, my problem with Ron Paul, is he's too much of a non-interventionist or neo-isolationist if you will, with regard to foreign policy, and I think he's just too nieve when it comes to national defense strategy. I think it'd be a great idea to push Ron Paul for President in 2012 (I supported him at the GOP Texas Convention in 2008).
But I think it'd be a horrible idea to get Peter Schiff to run for anything -- too many people would come forward who've lost a lotta money taking his investment advice & that would kill any chance for him.
I think he realizes that, too -- so don't look for him to run.

No they will leave it up, because they know that Schiff's students know his record well enough to defend it... Plus we are not afraid of open and honest debate... His predictions on economic cycles are dead on, but if your eluding to his clients, yes he does have a few clients who in the short term that did lose lots of money... It is impossible to figure out what speculative financial markets, which are phony compared to a real production based economy will do... A 51% prediction rate is great

The whole point of the democratic process is to elect people who you want to represent you in office. We need Peter to get into office and we need to keep electing more and more people like Peter as Mayors, Governors, State Reps, Congressman, Senators and hopefully Presidents. That's the whole point of the process. He must run and he will win.

As a seasoned military vet, my problem with Ron Paul, is he's too much of a non-interventionist or neo-isolationist if you will, with regard to foreign policy, and I think he's just too nieve when it comes to national defense strategy. He believes the U.S. is Imperial, which we're NOT and he's also prone to wacky 911 conspiracy theories and others, and it just raises too many red flags for me. I dont know what Schiff's foreign policy views are but I suspect he's Ron Paul 2.0 which is too bad, o

Yeah right. You should read the book Confessions of an Economic Hitman by John Perkins. Check him out on utube as well. He'll tell you exactly what our country has been doing to others around the world because he was on the forefront of it. Plus, Reagan was an asshole. He was the one who believed brute force was the only way to get what you wanted and his policies failed miserably and created a tremendous amount of hatred for the US.

@jjrglobal , thats not what he said so you should re-read his book. He said his first action was to convince the sitting leader to go along with their plans. After several attempts they would use several tactics to either overthrow the leader or eventually try to remove the leader. Their last attempt was to kill, which happens all the time in intelligence. And if Perkins was so wrong, do you honestly believe other countries would invite him to speak? People know his story is true.
