The Mail Guy Doesn't RAISE the flag - he/she lowers it. This is exactly the cartoon that threw me as a kid. I was 43 years old before I had a rural mailbox - and only then did I get the Flag stuff right. The flag is to let the Mailman know there is a Pick Up - not a delivery. Yeh, Yeh... silly I know. But think about it. Some people Never in all their life have a Rural box. Just slots, boxes, and POs. So don't think it isn't that weird. OK - So its weird. Its Daffy Duck...
