Excellent vid & great channel, we subbed :) I am a horror fan who parts company w/you on HC2. Thought the 1st film was excellent, was let down by this one big time, going so far as to write a piece on our blog MovieFanFare called "The Human Centipede II and Three Movies to Watch Instead"! Anyway, best wishes, cheers, all that. Holy cow, those clamshells take me back.
'Tron' is a classic, I actually didn't mind the sequel either. Got both of them on BD mid last year but have yet to watch either in hi-def, we've been waiting for the lady's mother to come around and do a double feature.
'Inception' was a great film too and a real treat on BD with it's amazing HD audio track.
Great to have you back on here, Mate. Hopefully it won't be long before we see another video from you :)
Daz, I only just saw this update, I can't believe I missed it the first time around! Sorry to hear that you took ill for so long, you were sounding shocking in some of those previous videos, your poor bastard.
Great update though! Very nice BD pick-ups from JB. I loved the Coen's 'Burn After Reading' in fact I'm overdue to watch it again, I believe I saw it three times in short succession, it was a riot.
Great update, your VHS collection looks superb. You can't beat a big box!
Tales From The Crypt is great, bit naughty sticking the Crypt Keeper on the sleeve! I liked HC2, didn't get the chance to see the uncut version though, the barb-wire scene was missing.
Man I so wish I was at that HC2 screening, but did not know about it beforehand unfortunately, great work on getting the sick bags! Keep them, they'll be collector's items in future.
Welcome back, Daz. Nice to see you back. I've been inactive recently. XD
That Friday 13th thing looks like a fucking piece of crap.
Our film censors are the biggest prudes. But hey, at least we finally have Salo unbanned here...but I bet they'll pull it again like the cunts they are.
I have The Killing Fields, but in the clamshell. I'm yet to watch it.
"I haven't watched it y-OH WHAT THE THE FUCK IS THAT!?". You never cease to make me laugh, Daz. XD
Thanks so much Mitch, I'm pleased to hear my vids give you a laugh. Sorry about the delayed reply here mate! Internet probs this time lol.
Our censors are actually quite lenient, it's the Review Board that are the problem, they are the ones that originally banned HC2. The censors in New Zealand are much worse than ours, as they have banned several films this year that passed uncut here without a problem.
Well that's what folks are doing with HC2 now, as long as they don't get the cut VOD versions. It was the most classy black and white film I've seen since Metropolis.
I'm not a prude by any means but last night i read an in depth plot analysis of Human Centipede 2 and I wanted to vomit..why are people interested in seeing others shit on each other amongst other things?
Yeah I'm not debating with you about the issue of censorship, I think censorship in this country sucks arse,Government shouldnt be able to tell me what I can and cant watch, im just interested to know what drives a person to derive pleasure from watching a film where a person's face is stapled to someone else's arse or whatever
I often ponder such questions over PG rated romantic comedies (which I can't stand). As a person who liked HC2, I looked at the movie overall, not just focussed on the scenes you mentioned, which last for maybe less than 30 seconds of run time. It also had moments of serious black humour. Tom Six took on the "monkey see monkey do" arguments used by ban-everything conservatives to the extreme, to show how ludicrous these people really are.
Finally, you have a little respect for Disney with the Tron movie, because when I saw your previous videos, I did not see a Disney film in the videos. And cool guy, by the way.
I actually have a few Disney movies on VHS tape (The Love Bug, Disney Pop & Rock and a couple of others), I just haven't shown them yet. Thanks for the feedback :)
please dont tar all us christians with the same brush. Some are definately a big problem and way too conservative, but some of us including myself love horror, hate censorship and agree with everything you guys say
I totally understand that. Not all conservatives are christians, just take a look at Julia Gillard. Another good example is that not all christians are against gay marriage. There are all shades of grey, it's just that the ban on HC2 is the direct result of actions by certain conservative christian groups, and that has annoyed me greatly.
Just to let everyone know that Human Centipede 2 has been reviewed a several hours ago on Blogspot by some author known as Jack Sargeant on why there were spontaneous complanits from families and religious zealots. It seems there was a unaminous desicion when it was banned on appeal a several days back, thus not being aware many of the strong graphic violent material was in black + white. And even if there was another appeal to pass the film uncut, chances are it could be censored beforehand.
Monster Pictures released a press statement about that very fact, and it appears that the Review Board gave more attention to the christian conservatives than to Monster Pics and their own opinions. I stood as an interested party to the review as well, but my arguments were obviously ignored.
Monster intend to submit and release a cut version of the film, and explore their legal options regarding the uncut version, tho I don't think it'll ever get released again.
It will be interesting to see if the cut version is longer than the UK version. Our classification board are not as conservative as the BBFC, which is why HC2 got thru uncut with an R18+ in the first place (the Review Board that banned it is a separate body to the Classification Board).
@AussieRoadshow: I think Monster Pics would evantually submit a cut US version for its DVD release by the beginning of January. Unless the review board would scrap that idea altogether.
My impression from their press release (which I read) is that they will cut it themselves, and not use the cut US version. Monster Pics will submit it to the Classification Board. The Review Board can't prevent the release from happening again unless an appeal against any new R18+ rating is submitted again by those christian lunatics.
@AussieRoadshow: those christian psychopaths better not tamper with the modified release by then, otherwise there will be more commotion by the distributor because the edited version failed to pass through the censorship. For now it's a slim to nil chance.
Conservatives are a cancerous influence on our freedoms and civil liberties, so it is important to remember that when you get to vote at the ballot box :)
@AussieRoadshow: not to mention they also take away some of the rights to the economy, only to be given to the so-called "billionaire boys". While the poor end up suffering with very little incentives. Anyways, conservatives are much worse when they submit a film for review and come up with some of the most stupid guidelines in the system.
I totally hear you man. I am glad that I'm not the only liberal mided person in this cuntry. It feels like the conservatives are taking over everything and I am sick of it now.
@AussieRoadshow: it seems like no one can express their opinions anymore, let alone been forced to conform to political ideologies that don't mean anything to Australians whatsoever. But what can conservatives do? Laugh at everyone's faces so no opinions are heard from anyone but literal nonsense from alot of greasy, fat fuck conservative ass goblins.
welcome back! i thought human centipede 2 was ok, im not sure if i saw a cut or uncut version but either way it was just ok for me, im not a huge fan of the first so maybe that why i didnt care for it too much, it wasnt that bad of a movie thou. ive always loved the cover for children of the corn. oh yea i remember you telling me about the arena, well theyre releasing it in another triple feature coming out in jan, im pretty stoked, the other 2 movies look awesomely bad n trashy :)
You'd know if you saw the uncut version of HC2 if you saw the barb wire rape scene that happened to the woman at the end of the centipede. I believe all the cut versions are missing the sequence entirely, or it is very heavily cut. Nasty scene. The film needs to be seen uncut in my opinion.
I love Corman's trashy early flicks, I recommend The Arena, I don't know why you folks didn't get the 4 disc version, but glad to hear it may be coming out again.
@AussieRoadshow wow that sounds brutal umm i dont remeber seeing that so i guess i saw the cut version? the version i saw did have the scene with the baby thou i thought was a little much haha yea that new lethal ladies vol 2 set will come with the arena, fly me, and cover girl models, cant wait to get it
Hey Shane! Yeah still getting VHS tapes but a lot less than I used to now. These days I just pick up the things I'm really looking for. Thanks for the kudos mate, appreciate it :)
Hey thanks! I would be surprised if Human Centipede 2 got banned in France. They don't ban anything there I am sure. It is a great horror film and I really liked it, but not everyone will like it.
@AussieRoadshow Human Centipede II, for now the uncensored version, it is banned. The reason, too violent for "Family of France." Saw3 also had some in France, the Ministry of Culture has classified prohibited under 18 (Rated X), so it was broadcast at 3am in cinémas.Et also on the cable channel premnium it was released as a pornographic film (Late at night, with a double and a system of encryption code ...) If Human Centipede II censored version goes, it will have the same fate
Man that is very harsh. Saw 3 was classified 15 and over here, which is not even our highest rating. Human Centipede 2 was uncut with an 18 and over rating here before it was banned. It is hard to believe that the French censors could be more strict than our own!
@AussieRoadshow yes, it's worse in France .. but it's really rare to such action .. But now it is the policy of my country:)The funny thing was with Eastern Promises. Prohibited under 12 (PG-13) to the movies. And after our dear Ministers saw the film on the pay channel (Canal +) and asked to enter the prohibited under 16 (R-17) and pass from 11pm X)))
@maxounouzon: it doesn't matter if children under the age of 12 in France would see Eastern Promises despite a several death scenes done in computer effects - it's that they seem to crave in some morbid concepts on screen; but not in such a very graphic detail.
@Ringvireot after, are what a child of 12 would include the films of David Cronenberg? becaufe they are complex anyway, good job and also in its infancy, these films was much trash on the banks. ;)
but anyway, in France there is the word "shit" at least 5.6 times in the film or program is directly classified under 12 prohibited. ^^
@maxounouzon: but there are kids 12 years and under who would watch those films illegally because they would like to know how much profanity there is in not just films from Cronenberg, but other films that has a similar issue as well.
@Ringvireot that ... yes, lots of kids watch movies banned under 12 to know the insults. The worst thing in this age where many look at porn in secret xD
if I have finally seen human centipede II, much better than the first!
@maxounouzon: the only problem with The Human Centipede II is most of the death scenes are done in b/w. So it's no surprise that computer genetated death scenes that are shown in graphic detail was done pain-stakingly. Now that comes to mind that absolutely no kid under the age of 18 in France will be permitted to watch that movie, even if they can handle alot of gruesome death scenes on screen.
@Ringvireot if the film was released in France, because at the moment (Condor) the publisher has released Human Centipede I fought with the French Audiovisual Council and the Ministry of Culture to leave at least a censored version of 2 with a prohibited less than 16 (R-17)
but what is certain, the uncensored version will not come out so far on French territory because it is banned ... But that can change ...
@maxounouzon: the uncensored version is worth the risk by talking to the "Audiovisual Council" in a philosophical debate. But in the end the appeal will be too lengthy, too complex and worst yet it can be too tiresome within weeks of arguing and debating. It's bad enough the French censorship had critical issues with Baise Moi and Ken Park in the past.
@Ringvireot "baise moi"this film does well is demolished by the French Press. "Audiovisual Council" Listening over the likes of President Nicolas,
basically Tom's Six would be more difficult to convince them that the films of Danny Boon.
I would also like to apologize as the French for "Welcome to the Sticks", this film is bad and not worth the "horde." Moreover, the Horde is also demolished because it was not enough French for journalists.
@maxounouzon: Tom Six is in a world of suffering by just about every censorship board around the world after the release of The Human Centipede 2. He will never be forgiven by any censorship councils and boards because of how disturbingly gruesome the death scenes are; knowing how realistic the concepts are it's obvious the censored version will be passed. As for the uncut version, the film negative would more than likely be thrown into a fireplace in some shady film office.
@Ringvireot what you say, it reminds me of a French film that has had to enter prohibited under 18.his name is martyrs the film was considered very violating, but had a revision in the prohibition (No children under 16 years) because people have passed a petition to remove the under 18 on the film.
the brothers Weinstein wanted to buy the film, they are targeting the film and have thrown down from their building because it was too violent^^
@maxounouzon: well I'm glad Martyrs has been downgraded to a 16 rating without any cuts in France. Censoring the film with the same rating would just give the film a very bad name for horror fans alike. But for the film's sake it nearly has the equivalent intensity to The Human Centipede II, except the violent concepts are not overly done (which I think it's a good idea).
@maxounouzon: The Weinsteins were so stupid for distributing the film in order to target new age horror fans and tried to glamorize the cinema release with "revolutionary" editing components to trim down some of the most important dialogue in a motion picture. Nonsense, they were there waiting for a cash flow for a decent box office taking.
@Ringvireot I saw some films he distributed by the Weinstein brothers horror movie. Apart from some interesting stuff in the "Dimension Extreme" the rest of their catalog is really dodgy.
And also their idea to remake (reboot) so bad and stupid. Apart from the first Halloween by Rob Zombie. Otherwise I prefer the originals that remakes.
@maxounouzon: The Weinsteins started off quite good when they started Millimeter Films (pre-Dimension Films era) and most of the macro-budget films for that company like Hardware, The Stepfather 2, The Girl in the Swing etc. were kept in a plain and simple cause. When Dimension was first launched in 1992, they re-booted most of the films from the New World Pictures library like Hellraiser and Children of the Corn.
@maxounouzon: nevertheless, when Disney became Miramax's parent company in late-1993, it got to the point that Dimension was becoming a sell-out company for horror movies; and they proved it to their audiences. What also agitated their fans was alot of big budget films were under way for Dimension like From Dusk Til Dawn and the Spy Kids legacy. How dare the Weinsteins caused a business conspiracy when distributing films domestically and internationally.
@maxounouzon: now that Miramax/Dimension has regained independence in movies, that doesn't mean movies will be a vast effort to ensure horror fans will be pleased with the results of analogue effects in movies. It will still release mediocre trashfests.
@Ringvireot Darron also shows that the films are so great. Argento's etc ... at the time it was the horror film, even in Australia, there is good. Try to look not quite for Hollywood ;)
Great to see you back Daz., thought you were all done with your vids. Think things have been quiet on the aussie YT community scene. As for christian conservatives etc, I'm christian but I've been watching all sorts of horrors and R rated stuff since I was three years old in 1976, I got no problem with anything. censorship is BS, gonna give the censors a serve now
Hey buddy, yeah I'm really against censorship, which doesn't work in a technological world anyway. It has just given HC2 a whole lot of press so more poeple will see it now. I'm pleased to say that the ban has caused a lot of outrage in the general public.
By the way, I could never get into Children of the Corn. I thought the adaptation, as with the script was quite corny and it barely had any atmosphere at all. I didn't mind the sequel despite the cheesiness of the film.
Why can't Australians have an opinion of The Human Centipede 2 to be passed without any cuts without those cancerous Christian chickenhawks getting in the way of banning explicit yet interesting sleazebag gore flicks? Simple - they din't wany audiences to delve deep into the morbid insanity of movie making, they just want people nationwide to watch a film of today and not knowing the idea the intensity has no effect of anyone.
Man I hear ya loud and clear. I'm afraid the situation will only worsen when Abbott comes to power with all his ultra-conservative Christian values. The fact is that the ultra-liberal values we share in common are not mainstream values because the majority are generally more moderate. People just want more money in their pockets, and will vote accordingly. I'm voting for the Australian Sex Party in future because they are the only party ideologically opposed to film censorshit.
@AussieRoadshow: Abbott's political power is inevitable. And by the time that happens then there will be no use for people to make an opinion about film censorship. Instead he'll only allow the censorship board to remove any explicit content from a motion picture or a TV show; or entirely ban them jsut to think it's breaching the guidelines of the censorship. All Abbott really is an opportunist pig for all times. He's more into money for his Liberal bastards, not anyone outside the Liberal union
Nice Vid. Silver Dream Racer - good British film that has a cameo from Doctor Who fav (now deceased) Elizabeth Sladen. Love the Australian version of Tales from the Crypt. I brought the UK version on release a few years back and I was quite suprised to see elements on the cover that have nothing to do with the film and it still made it to the Aust release!
I'll watch Tales this weekend, I love campy 70s and 80s horror. Looks like they jazzed up the cover, but it looks cool. Will def watch Silver DR at some stage, I used to peep that cover in vid stores back in teh day but never rented it, was too busy watching horror movies lol (still do). Yes do keep an eye out on the vid and the package that will come. I'll put the screener uncut version of A Serbian Film in there, but you'll have to brace yourself before watching it!
awesome new tapes. and that censorship is bullshit. they just bring morattention too it by censoring it. and dude that sucks u were sick. yea thrashin! i like thrashin.
I hate censorshit very much, no doubt that it will keep happening though. HC2 has been cut and banned in other places but I'm just glad I got to see the uncut version before the ban.
Hope you managed to see the complete uncut version of HC2, because some of the VOD versions are either the cut US or UK versions. I will import the uncut version at some stage, to hell with censors.
You would know if you saw the uncut version because it has a very nasty rape scene in it, where Martin wraps barb wire around his penis and rapes the woman at the end of the centipede. This scene is cut out of the VOD versions.
Hi Darron, great video. Love seeing all the tapes together. The Vibrants look great. I still need a couple more to go for the early series. K-Tels are awesome!! Wish mine were in as good condition as yours seem to be. Have gotten loads of new tapes recently, including some very rare stuff. Loathed if I can do a vid on it all, though. No one really cares, least of all me!
Hey Paul, yeah those Vibrants look good lined up together. The only gold label one I'm missing now is Sextoons. I had another round of K-tel itching to scratch, so picked up a few more, but forgot to show Hardrock Zombies in this lot, sheez! Next time. Making vids is time consuming, and old VHS tapes are an acquired taste, but I think ultimately it's worth the effort to be honest :)
Good to see you back mate and i'm glad to hear you're ok after your hospital visit..Shame HC2 is banned in your country looks like your censorship board is getting as bad as our bbfc..Looking forward to the unboxing video..Take care fella.
Yeah fit as a fiddle now and ready for xmas and NYE drinking lol. Thanks man. Our censor board are actually not that bad by and large, it's a separate rating review board that banned HC2, not the original board that passed it in the first place. The system works a bit different here. Do get an uncut version once it comes out somewhere in the world, just to stick it to the BBFC :)
Yeah I doubt the NZ OFLC will pass this one either, especially since we got the I Spit remake uncut without a problem. It's a miracle HC2 even got R18 here in the first place. What else did they ban? A Serbian Film would surely get rejected too like most other countries, including here.
They banned two films Sick Girl and Megan Is Missing (which only got a Aussie MA rating) along with a couple of others which haven't been listened on the NZ OFLC database.
Interestingly enough A Serbian Film hasn't been submitted to the NZ OFLC yet.
Face palms are nice, but with respect it does not equate to a complaint email to the OFLC, for example. I hope more bans happen to be honest, if it means revving people up a bit more.
It is a shame about the ban, but it will happen every now and then. HC2 is nasty and at the end of day I am just glad some of us got to see it uncut at all. Thanks for the kudos, I gotta keep these vids regular!
Dazz!! Missed you, mate!! I thought you disappeared on us like Jarashut!
Some nice pick ups in this lot. I'm shattered to hear the news about the human centipede. Fucking soft cock wanker poofters! It's just so fucking annoying!!
Great to hear from you buddy! I'll check out your channel on the pc later cos this mobi site is clunky and annoying. Had no idea you had one!
The HC2 ban irritates me to shit. The religious right are to blame. Us ultra liberal Aussies are a minority for the most part, so I'm afraid this shit will continue to happen. Vote for the Aust Sex Party at the next election, that's one thing you can do, they are opposed to banning films like these :)
Hot Legs, awesome cover indeed :D A REAL bummer that they banned Human Centipede 2 (still no Finnish releases of either of the Human Centipede films) in Australia!!! Tales From The Crypt is great horror film from 1972, the segment 3 with Peter Cushing is my favourite! Great to see you back doing videos :)
It's a shame that the DVD cover of Hot Legs is so crap. Nothing compares to old home videos! It's a great old movie too.
The ban on HC2 makes me angry, but there's nothing we can do now. I saw it uncut at the cinema before it happened. A Serbian Film was banned here too, but that was banned in lots of other places too, such as Spain, Brazil and Norway.
Hey Justin thx very much :) I will watch Inception soon. Lots of people I know don't like the movie but I will make up my own mind. And I agree about Poltergeist 2, it was a pretty lame sequel overall.
Not everyone here has big balls I can assure you! I thought Human Centipede 2 was really funny in parts. But the uncut version is nasty in parts, it really is. I can see why it got cut in other countries.
hey your back, havnt seen Hot Legs but so tempted. ;)
I heard about Human Centipede 2. theres a guy on the Blu-ray.com forums who was part of the team that decided to ban it. he was against it but 1 man against all the others isnt effective. if we sign a petition, we could get it unbanned.
Forget a petition. It is not legally possible to 'unban' a film once the review board give it RC. It's done and it's final. Yes I stood as an interested party, but probably hardly anyone else did. Time and time again I have argued against censorship, but not a single subber of mine has ever taken the time to do anything about it, so expect more of the same in future..
I suspect the moron on the blu forum is a christian in disguise.
Of course it achieves nothing, but I am annoyed at the situation, and even more annoyed that most fair minded Aussies will not do a single thing about censorship.
@AussieRoadshow Most Aussies will not do a thing about a lot of issues. I think the Melbourne band TISM summed it up real well with the song "I'm interested in apathy".
TISM also sang 'Defecate on my face', which is ironic considering the subject matter in HC2. Me? I guess I'll continue to be proactive against those issues that spark my interest.
It's partly because us liberal Aussies are often too lazy and don't bother to stand up and complain about anything. And guess what, it will continue to get worse for that very reason.
As much as I hate the Human Centipede films (I find them nothing more than retreads of Hostel), they shouldn't be banned. It's just a movie, lighten up.
The HC films seem to divide viewers, especially the second one, but I'm one of those who likes them. HC2 *must* be seen uncut in my opinion. The fact that the uncut version was approved for an R rating here in the first place was a miracle to begin with because it is pretty nasty, especially that rape scene. Banning films is no solution as it encourages curiosity.
About god damn time! Haha. Welcome back Daz, sorry to hear you were unwell for so long. I have Friday 13th the Orphan K-Tel but not watched it yet. I got outbid on The Hitter a couple of months back, bet that was you! Got Mad Mission too but not original case! Glad you got a Scream for Help now!! Burn After Reading was hilarious and a great Blu. JB 20% off tomorrow only btw. Grabbed that Poltergeist double cheap myself. Great you are back mate, and check out all my recent vids :)
Man I was sick as, won't go into details but 100 percent better now. So many updates to catch up on too, but I assure you I will. Yeh I prolly did outbid you on Hitter, soz about that man, shit. Had a K-tel itch for a while and needed to scratch it. And guess what I forgot to show Hardrock Zombies in this vid! Feck.
Thx for the word up on JB!! Got $180 in gift vouchers to spend there, so will go a long way.
Fuck the censors BTW. HC2 was awesome on the big screen!!!
@AussieRoadshow Haha! I have the first HC but haven't checked it out yet, not that it matters apparently with this sequel being so different. I was going to go to the Sydney showing but I had a gig on, then last minute the gig was cancelled and I couldn't be arsed anymore lol. Not sure how long you haven't been checking vids but I did a big walk through of my whole collection a couple of months back. Got myself a little mancave going on with VCR, LD player and old CRT tv haha.
It's a shame you won't see HC2 at the cinema now, gosh it was a nasty film uncut, and best seen on the big screen too. We'll prob get a shitty cut version now for home and rental.
I'm pretty sure I saw your overview vid, and I suggested getting section labels like they had in old video stores. Unless you did a new one :)
the human centipede 2 will be release on dvd and blu ray this year.

I often ponder such questions over PG rated romantic comedies (which I can't stand). As a person who liked HC2, I looked at the movie overall, not just focussed on the scenes you mentioned, which last for maybe less than 30 seconds of run time. It also had moments of serious black humour. Tom Six took on the "monkey see monkey do" arguments used by ban-everything conservatives to the extreme, to show how ludicrous these people really are.

please dont tar all us christians with the same brush. Some are definately a big problem and way too conservative, but some of us including myself love horror, hate censorship and agree with everything you guys say
svr73 3 months ago
@svr73
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@AussieRoadshow excellent. I'm typing up my email to the powers that be of censorship right now. thats the way to make change
svr73 3 months ago
Just to let everyone know that Human Centipede 2 has been reviewed a several hours ago on Blogspot by some author known as Jack Sargeant on why there were spontaneous complanits from families and religious zealots. It seems there was a unaminous desicion when it was banned on appeal a several days back, thus not being aware many of the strong graphic violent material was in black + white. And even if there was another appeal to pass the film uncut, chances are it could be censored beforehand.
Ringvireot 3 months ago
@Ringvireot
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@Ringvireot
It will be interesting to see if the cut version is longer than the UK version. Our classification board are not as conservative as the BBFC, which is why HC2 got thru uncut with an R18+ in the first place (the Review Board that banned it is a separate body to the Classification Board).
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@AussieRoadshow: I think Monster Pics would evantually submit a cut US version for its DVD release by the beginning of January. Unless the review board would scrap that idea altogether.
Ringvireot 3 months ago
@Ringvireot
My impression from their press release (which I read) is that they will cut it themselves, and not use the cut US version. Monster Pics will submit it to the Classification Board. The Review Board can't prevent the release from happening again unless an appeal against any new R18+ rating is submitted again by those christian lunatics.
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@AussieRoadshow: those christian psychopaths better not tamper with the modified release by then, otherwise there will be more commotion by the distributor because the edited version failed to pass through the censorship. For now it's a slim to nil chance.
Ringvireot 3 months ago
@Ringvireot
Conservatives are a cancerous influence on our freedoms and civil liberties, so it is important to remember that when you get to vote at the ballot box :)
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@AussieRoadshow: not to mention they also take away some of the rights to the economy, only to be given to the so-called "billionaire boys". While the poor end up suffering with very little incentives. Anyways, conservatives are much worse when they submit a film for review and come up with some of the most stupid guidelines in the system.
Ringvireot 3 months ago
@Ringvireot
I totally hear you man. I am glad that I'm not the only liberal mided person in this cuntry. It feels like the conservatives are taking over everything and I am sick of it now.
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@AussieRoadshow: it seems like no one can express their opinions anymore, let alone been forced to conform to political ideologies that don't mean anything to Australians whatsoever. welcome back! i thought human centipede 2 was ok, im not sure if i saw a cut or uncut version but either way it was just ok for me, im not a huge fan of the first so maybe that why i didnt care for it too much, it wasnt that bad of a movie thou. ive always loved the cover for children of the corn. oh yea i remember you telling me about the arena, well theyre releasing it in another triple feature coming out in jan, im pretty stoked, the other 2 movies look awesomely bad n trashy :)
plan9ofthelivingdead 3 months ago
@plan9ofthelivingdead
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@AussieRoadshow wow that sounds brutal umm i dont remeber seeing that so i guess i saw the cut version? the version i saw did have the scene with the baby thou i thought was a little much haha yea that new lethal ladies vol 2 set will come with the arena, fly me, and cover girl models, cant wait to get it

@maxounouzon
Hey thanks! I would be surprised if Human Centipede 2 got banned in France. They don't ban anything there I am sure. It is a great horror film and I really liked it, but not everyone will like it.
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@AussieRoadshow Human Centipede II, for now the uncensored version, it is banned. The reason, too violent for "Family of France." Saw3 also had some in France, the Ministry of Culture has classified prohibited under 18 (Rated X), so it was broadcast at 3am in cinémas.Et also on the cable channel premnium it was released as a pornographic film (Late at night, with a double and a system of encryption code ...) If Human Centipede II censored version goes, it will have the same fate
maxounouzon 3 months ago
@maxounouzon
Man that is very harsh. Saw 3 was classified 15 and over here, which is not even our highest rating. Human Centipede 2 was uncut with an 18 and over rating here before it was banned. It is hard to believe that the French censors could be more strict than our own!
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@AussieRoadshow yes, it's worse in France .. but it's really rare to such action .. But now it is the policy of my country:)The funny thing was with Eastern Promises. Prohibited under 12 (PG-13) to the movies. And after our dear Ministers saw the film on the pay channel (Canal +) and asked to enter the prohibited under 16 (R-17) and pass from 11pm X)))
maxounouzon 3 months ago
@maxounouzon: it doesn't matter if children under the age of 12 in France would see Eastern Promises despite a several death scenes done in computer effects - it's that they seem to crave in some morbid concepts on screen; but not in such a very graphic detail.
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@Ringvireot after, are what a child of 12 would include the films of David Cronenberg? becaufe they are complex anyway, good job and also in its infancy, these films was much trash on the banks. ;)
but anyway, in France there is the word "shit" at least 5.6 times in the film or program is directly classified under 12 prohibited. ^^
maxounouzon 2 months ago
@maxounouzon: but there are kids 12 years and under who would watch those films illegally because they would like to know how much profanity there is in not just films from Cronenberg, but other films that has a similar issue as well.
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@Ringvireot that ... yes, lots of kids watch movies banned under 12 to know the insults. The worst thing in this age where many look at porn in secret xD
if I have finally seen human centipede II, much better than the first!
maxounouzon 2 months ago
@maxounouzon: the only problem with The Human Centipede II is most of the death scenes are done in b/w. So it's no surprise that computer genetated death scenes that are shown in graphic detail was done pain-stakingly. Now that comes to mind that absolutely no kid under the age of 18 in France will be permitted to watch that movie, even if they can handle alot of gruesome death scenes on screen.
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@Ringvireot if the film was released in France, because at the moment (Condor) the publisher has released Human Centipede I fought with the French Audiovisual Council and the Ministry of Culture to leave at least a censored version of 2 with a prohibited less than 16 (R-17)
but what is certain, the uncensored version will not come out so far on French territory because it is banned ... But that can change ...
maxounouzon 2 months ago
@maxounouzon: the uncensored version is worth the risk by talking to the "Audiovisual Council" in a philosophical debate. But in the end the appeal will be too lengthy, too complex and worst yet it can be too tiresome within weeks of arguing and debating. It's bad enough the French censorship had critical issues with Baise Moi and Ken Park in the past.
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@Ringvireot "baise moi"this film does well is demolished by the French Press. "Audiovisual Council" Listening over the likes of President Nicolas,
basically Tom's Six would be more difficult to convince them that the films of Danny Boon.
I would also like to apologize as the French for "Welcome to the Sticks", this film is bad and not worth the "horde." Moreover, the Horde is also demolished because it was not enough French for journalists.
The Horde is a good movie for me.
maxounouzon 2 months ago
@maxounouzon: Tom Six is in a world of suffering by just about every censorship board around the world after the release of The Human Centipede 2. He will never be forgiven by any censorship councils and boards because of how disturbingly gruesome the death scenes are; knowing how realistic the concepts are it's obvious the censored version will be passed. As for the uncut version, the film negative would more than likely be thrown into a fireplace in some shady film office.
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@Ringvireot what you say, it reminds me of a French film that has had to enter prohibited under 18.his name is martyrs the film was considered very violating, but had a revision in the prohibition (No children under 16 years) because people have passed a petition to remove the under 18 on the film.
the brothers Weinstein wanted to buy the film, they are targeting the film and have thrown down from their building because it was too violent^^
maxounouzon 2 months ago
@maxounouzon: well I'm glad Martyrs has been downgraded to a 16 rating without any cuts in France. Censoring the film with the same rating would just give the film a very bad name for horror fans alike. But for the film's sake it nearly has the equivalent intensity to The Human Centipede II, except the violent concepts are not overly done (which I think it's a good idea).
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@maxounouzon: The Weinsteins were so stupid for distributing the film in order to target new age horror fans and tried to glamorize the cinema release with "revolutionary" editing components to trim down some of the most important dialogue in a motion picture. Nonsense, they were there waiting for a cash flow for a decent box office taking.
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@Ringvireot I saw some films he distributed by the Weinstein brothers horror movie. Apart from some interesting stuff in the "Dimension Extreme" the rest of their catalog is really dodgy.
And also their idea to remake (reboot) so bad and stupid. Apart from the first Halloween by Rob Zombie. Otherwise I prefer the originals that remakes.
maxounouzon 2 months ago
@maxounouzon: The Weinsteins started off quite good when they started Millimeter Films (pre-Dimension Films era) and most of the macro-budget films for that company like Hardware, The Stepfather 2, The Girl in the Swing etc. were kept in a plain and simple cause. When Dimension was first launched in 1992, they re-booted most of the films from the New World Pictures library like Hellraiser and Children of the Corn.
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@maxounouzon: nevertheless, when Disney became Miramax's parent company in late-1993, it got to the point that Dimension was becoming a sell-out company for horror movies; and they proved it to their audiences. What also agitated their fans was alot of big budget films were under way for Dimension like From Dusk Til Dawn and the Spy Kids legacy. How dare the Weinsteins caused a business conspiracy when distributing films domestically and internationally.
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@maxounouzon: now that Miramax/Dimension has regained independence in movies, that doesn't mean movies will be a vast effort to ensure horror fans will be pleased with the results of analogue effects in movies. It will still release mediocre trashfests.
Ringvireot 2 months ago
@Ringvireot Darron also shows that the films are so great. Argento's etc ... at the time it was the horror film, even in Australia, there is good. Try to look not quite for Hollywood ;)

By the way, I could never get into Children of the Corn. I thought the adaptation, as with the script was quite corny and it barely had any atmosphere at all. I didn't mind the sequel despite the cheesiness of the film.
Ringvireot 3 months ago
Why can't Australians have an opinion of The Human Centipede 2 to be passed without any cuts without those cancerous Christian chickenhawks getting in the way of banning explicit yet interesting sleazebag gore flicks? Simple - they din't wany audiences to delve deep into the morbid insanity of movie making, they just want people nationwide to watch a film of today and not knowing the idea the intensity has no effect of anyone.
Ringvireot 3 months ago
@Ringvireot
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago

Nice mention at the end there too ;)

AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
Well if its been banned in Aussie I reckon its highly likely its going to get banned in New Zealand as well.
The remake of I spit on your grave and a few other films have been banned in NZ this year.
wkk666 3 months ago
@wkk666
Yeah I doubt the NZ OFLC will pass this one either, especially since we got the I Spit remake uncut without a problem. It's a miracle HC2 even got R18 here in the first place. What else did they ban? A Serbian Film would surely get rejected too like most other countries, including here.
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago

AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
hey your back, havnt seen Hot Legs but so tempted. ;)
I heard about Human Centipede 2. theres a guy on the Blu-ray.com forums who was part of the team that decided to ban it. he was against it but 1 man against all the others isnt effective. if we sign a petition, we could get it unbanned.
recorps1 3 months ago
@recorps1
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
I'd like to know what the RC of HC2 will achieve. It just makes people go and download it off the net bypassing the censors.
QRhuggies 3 months ago
@QRhuggies
Of course it achieves nothing, but I am annoyed at the situation, and even more annoyed that most fair minded Aussies will not do a single thing about censorship.
AussieRoadshow 3 months ago
@AussieRoadshow Most Aussies will not do a thing about a lot of issues. I think the Melbourne band TISM summed it up real well with the song "I'm interested in apathy".
QRhuggies 3 months ago
@QRhuggies
TISM also sang 'Defecate on my face', which is ironic considering the subject matter in HC2. Me? I guess I'll continue to be proactive against those issues that spark my interest.

@AussieRoadshow Haha it's possible, I can't remember now. My mancave is overflowing with DVD and VHS...
