She looked like she was really staggering around at the beginning. Rules should be put in place which stop managers and those organizing concerts to allow shows to go ahead or not be stopped them when somebody is clearly ill with addiction or similar. Maybe they could be heftily fined? An unknown artist who wasn't generating a lot of money would surely have been pulled off stage. Similar situation with MJ - anybody could see he was ill at the press conference announcing his London shows.
Like MJ, people surrounding her knew it was out of hand. But they are not gonna stop it because it is their gravy train, perhaps their only source of income..
The manager, agent, touring crew get paid huge money. You play in a band, and the leader is f-d up. Do you cancel all the shows?, losing your income? No wonder no one stopped her.

Now, she's dead any there is no chance for that.

@cim0229 One word: profit. The more time she spent in rehab meant less shows being played. The promoters and managers and the like obviously didn't care if the shows were train wrecks or not, they still got paid. Watching her in these videos, it's obvious she needed real help, and desperately. Shame she never got it...she may have made the choice to start taking drugs, but she wasn't in control by that point. Addiction's a horrible thing. :/

it was careless of her to take that first drink, and try her first drug, BUT it became a disease, alcoholism is a disease, some people are addicted the first drink, some can never be addicted, it's heartbreaking, someone should of forced help on her, with the money she had there would of been a doctor that could of been paid to secretly help her thru medication and restaining her, if I were her Dad I would of found a cabin, chained her ass up and had a doc take care of her, to get her better.

She looked like she was really staggering around at the beginning. Rules should be put in place which stop managers and those organizing concerts to allow shows to go ahead or not be stopped them when somebody is clearly ill with addiction or similar. Maybe they could be heftily fined? An unknown artist who wasn't generating a lot of money would surely have been pulled off stage. Similar situation with MJ - anybody could see he was ill at the press conference announcing his London shows.

The manager, agent, touring crew get paid huge money. You play in a band, and the leader is f-d up. Do you cancel all the shows?, losing your income? No wonder no one stopped her.

@7Beyonder Absolutely, I would have. She's 27 and had her whole life ahead of her. I wouldnt stand by and watch someone that young (who clearly needs professional help) throw their life away, I don't care how much I make. Besides, the worst that would've happen was that she'd go into rehab (lets say 6-12 months, maybe longer), then when she's ready she'd resume her music career..The crew and her agent would then start getting paid again. Now, she's dead any there is no chance for that.

Exactly what happened in the Micheal Jackson case..The Dr, knew fully well that Diprivan could easily kill Micheal Jackson because it wasn't given in a hospital setting where he could've been closely monitored and quickly saved if something terrible went wrong. Something did go wrong, he's dead and why? Because the Dr. was too greedly and was too afraid Micheal would fire him and he'd stop getting paid the millions that Micheal was probably paying him
